Durante as últimas três décadas, a globalização tem empurrado empresas em direção a internacionalização, e consequentemente essas mesmas corporações tem se tornada instituições independentes parecidas com estados. Estes “estados independentes” precisam de estratégias internacionais coerentes e relações diplomáticas com funcionários da administração pública a fim de acompanhar as demandas desses mercados, criar estratégias para minimizar riscos, e ganhar legitimidade. O objetivo desta dissertação foi explorer a complexa relação entre o Grupo Maersk e o governo brasileiro e outros atores involvidos no Mercado de olio e gas controllado pelo estado. Afim de compreender o processo de diplomacia corporativa da empresa ,entrevistas semi-estruturadas foram realizadas com os indivíduos presentes na cadeia da diplomacia corporativa da empresa . A descoberta revelou a importância de diplomacia corporativa para a Maersk. Relações diplomáticas pessoais forjadas com entidades representativas e brasileiras são a chave para a Maersk impulsionar seus objetivos. Também mostra a importância das missão diplomáticas dinamarquesa ajudando a empresa a ter acesso a autoridades governamentais.

This work has as its main purpose to investigate the contribution of supply chain management in order to obtain competitive advantage by companies from the textile industry and from Ceará footwear industry, focusing its analysis mainly in the interorganizational relations (dyadic). For this, the theoretical referential contemplates different explanatory streams of the competitive advantage, detaching the relational perception of the resources theory, as well as, the main presuppositions of the supply chain management which culminates with the development of an analysis sample that runs the empirical study; the one which considers an expanded purpose of the supply chain which includes the government and the abetment institutions as institutional environment representatives. Besides supply chain management consideration as a competitive advantage source, the work also tried to identify other possible competitive advantage sources for the companies of the investigated sectors. It represents a study of multiple interpretive cases, having four cases as a total; meaning two cases in each one of the sectors, which used as a primary data collecting instrument a semi-structured interview schedule. Different methods were used for the data analysis, the content analysis and the constant comparison methods, the analytical procedure originated from the grounded theory research strategy, which were applied the Atlas/ti software recourse. Considering the theoretical referential and the used analysis sample, four basic categories of the work were defined, including its respective proprieties and dimensions: (1) characteristics concerning to the relationship with the supplier; (2) the company relations with the government; (3) the company relations with the abetment institutions and; (4) obtaining sources of competitive advantage. In general, the applied research in the footwear sector revealed that in the relationships of the researched companies related to its suppliers, there is a predominance of the partnership system and the main presuppositions of the supply chain management are applied which contributes for the acquisition of the relational competitive advantage; while in the textile sector, only some of these presuppositions are applied, with little contribution for the relational competitive advantage. The main resource which was accessed by the companies in both sectors through its relationships with the government and the abetment institutions are the tax incentives which, for the footwear companies, contribute for the acquisition of the temporary competitive advantage in relation to the contestants who do not own productive installations in the Northeast region, it also conducts to a competitive parity situation in relation to the contestants who own productive installations in the Northeast region and to the external market contestants; while for the companies of the textile sector, the tax incentives run the companies to a competitive parity situation in relation to its contestants. Furthermore, the investigated companies from the two sectors possess acquisition sources of the competitive advantage which collimate with different explanatory streams (industrial analysis, resources theory, Austrian school and the dynamic capabilities theory), although there is a predominance of the product innovation as a competitive advantage source in both sectors, due to the bond of these with the fashion tendencies

A ictiofauna de poças de maré tem sido bem estudada em regiões temperadas e tropicais do Pacifico. No Brasil, ainda é incipiente o conhecimento ecológico das poças de maré e das assembléias de peixes que as habitam. O presente estudo pretendeu investigar a composição e distribuição espaço-temporal das assembléias de peixes associadas às poças de maré em habitats de afloramento rochoso, floresta de mangue e marismas da Ilha do Areuá, estuário inferior do rio Curuçá, Norte do Brasil. Amostragens trimestrais foram realizadas entre fevereiro e novembro de 2009, durante a maré baixa de sizígia (lua nova), utilizando metodologia padronizada. As variáveis ambientais sofreram modificações ao longo do gradiente vertical e foram responsáveis pela distribuição espacial e temporal da ictiofauna no afloramento rochoso. A salinidade, profundidade média e heterogeneidade do substrato foram as variáveis que mais explicaram as variações na distribuição da ictiofauna. A comparação entre os habitats de afloramento rochoso, floresta de mangue e marismas evidenciou que as assembléias de peixes do afloramento rochoso são claramente distintas daquela presente nos habitats vegetados (floresta de mangue e marismas). Os resultados deste estudo sugerem que há preferências pela ictiofauna por determinados habitats em função das variáveis ambientais e heterogeneidade do substrato, porém mais estudos devem ser realizados levando em consideração relações inter e intra-especificas.

O presente estudo aborda a problemática dos sem-abrigo numa perspectiva institucional, pretendendo compreender de que forma é realizada a intervenção sócio-institucional aos sem-abrigo da cidade de Coimbra. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo das instituições de suporte social formal à população sem-abrigo na cidade de Coimbra que pretendeu conhecer não só o funcionamento, o tipo de respostas existentes, os equipamentos e recursos institucionais, como também compreender a organização do trabalho inter-institucional. Os principais instrumentos de recolha de informação foram um Questionário de Caracterização das Instituições e um Questionário de Rede que caracteriza as relações inter-institucionais. Os principais resultados vão de encontro à realidade institucional do país, destacando-se a escassez de respostas a nível da reintegração social do sem-abrigo, a sobreposição de respostas de carácter essencialmente assistencialista e uma desarticulação entre serviços e entidades que contrapõem o processo exequível da intervenção social com esta população-alvo. Concluímos ainda que a cidade de Coimbra reúne os meios para atingir os fins, desde que maximizados os recursos e potenciada a articulação inter-institucional, ainda pouco consistente.

Resumo: Este artigo é uma súmula de um diagnóstico social, coordenado pelos autores, que teve como objetivo compreender as dinâmicas e as relações inter e intra organizacionais das Misericórdias do distrito de Évora. O trabalho desenvolvido tem por base uma metodologia de diagnóstico desenvolvida pelos autores deste artigo, tendo como estratégia analítica a análise de redes sociais e a análise prospetiva, através das quais se elabora um quadro sobre o estado atual das Misericórdias, procede-se a um mapeamento da rede e perspetivam-se estratégias de ação coletiva para as instituições. Abstract: This article is a summary of a social diagnosis, coordinated by the authors, which aimed to understand the dynamics and inter and intra organizational relationships of the Mercies of the Évora district. The work is based on a diagnostic methodology developed by the authors of this article, the analytical strategy to social network analysis and prospective analysis, through which draw up a picture of the current state of Mercies, proceed to a mapping network and perspetivam up collective action strategies for the institutions. Este estudo sistematiza e aborda a temática da formação de educadores desenvolvida nas inter-relações entre universidades brasileiras e o Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra, especificamente nos cursos de graduação em História na Universidade Federal da Paraíba e de Engenharia Agronômica na Universidade Federal de Sergipe, no período de 2004 a 2008. Tal processo desenvolve-se em um contexto difícil e complexo da luta pela reforma agrária no Brasil, principalmente pelas transformações ocorridas nos últimos anos oriundas da ampliação das lógicas de produção do agronegócio. Esta condição leva o MST a discutir e propor uma nova concepção de reforma agrária que a designa de popular em substituição à proposta de reforma agrária clássica. Por outro lado, apresenta uma visão das universidades brasileiras e dos projetos que são construídos e implementados nos últimos anos, inclusive, observando coincidências com as políticas econômicas gerais para a sociedade. Apresenta uma concepção de formação que vem sendo construída no interior das práticas do MST que também procura as universidades para firmar convênios e desenvolver processos de escolarização/formação de seus militantes educadores. Dentre as dimensões desse processo educativo/formativo, destacam-se: vínculo permanente com os processos orgânicos; a formação como um processo ético, estético, místico que trata das atitudes/comportamentos e como um processo dialógico, crítico e articulado que contempla saberes, experiências, em uma interação que busca superar as monoculturas. Captura por intermédio da pesquisa de campo: estranhamentos, entraves, sentidos da ocupação pedagógica e coletiva, alternativas, legados que permanecem tanto no MST como na universidade e apresenta o resultado do envolvimento e atuação dos egressos de ambos os cursos na atualidade. Aponta também para desafios, possibilidades outras de enfrentar a difícil mas necessária tarefa de formar educadores, militantes capazes de coletivamente levar adiante a luta por um mundo mais justo, solidário e democrático, em que a terra e o conhecimento, juntamente com os demais bens econômicos e culturais sejam profundamente democratizados. Pretende ser uma contribuição para o debate acerca da relevância dessas inter-relações entre universidade e movimentos sociais, em que essas experiências demarcam novas possibilidades de abertura e avanços democráticos e menos elitista da universidade e novos patamares de escolarização/formação para integrantes do Movimento dos Sem Terra.
