Examinar los niveles de Burnout que presenta una muestra de profesores de la Región de Murcia y tratar de establecer las relaciones entre los problemas de desgaste del profesorado y el entorno social en el que se plantean, comparando los resultados entre la enseñanza concertada y la pública.. La muestra se compone de 200 profesores de enseñanza no universitaria (infantil, primaria y secundaria) de la Región de Murcia: 100 de centros públicos y 100 de centros privados concertados. El marco teórico comienza con la definición de Burnout y de los factores o variables asociadas al mismo, así como de la etiología que manifiesta el síndrome y el desarrollo del proceso. Los instrumentos de medida utilizados para la recogida de información son: cuestionario, de elaboración propia, administrado de forma personalizada mediante una entrevista previa con el docente; Escala de Autoevaluación de Síntomas de Estrés (Rodríguez Marín, 1992); Escala de Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), validada para España como IBP (Fornes, Gil Montes y Moreno), con versión para profesores; Listado de Estresores (escala de 9 puntos con 32 posibles causas de estrés profesional); Escala de Dimensiones Causales Atributivas y Cuestionario de Apoyo Social (Manassero). Una vez recabada la información, se han utilizado el análisis descriptivo, de contraste y correlacional, como metodología.. Los resultados obtenidos denotan la existencia de tres grupos de factores de riesgo de Burnout. Un primer grupo es el sentimiento de competencia, el saberse competente para poder responder a las expectativas. El segundo grupo es la vivencia de la exigencia como único responsable del éxito académico de los alumnos. El tercer grupo de factores hace referencia a la organización de los centros: excesivo número de alumnos, falta de tiempo para preparar materiales y corregir exámenes y trabajo para casa, unido a la sensación de falta de apoyo social. Las estrategias de intervención y afrontamiento propuestas son: adquisición de estrategias instrumentales (solución de problemas o habilidades de comunicación) y programas dirigidos a manejar emociones (manejo de sentimientos de culpa y técnicas de relajación)..

O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar e analisar o nível de satisfação, de Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho, segundo o modelo teórico de Walton (1973), de professores universitários do curso de Administração de Empresas, em uma universidade pública e em uma privada, ambas localizadas no Rio Grande do Sul. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva e comparativa, cujo enfoque foi quantitativo, através de um survey. Os resultados apontam os professores da universidade privada com nível de satisfação superior aos professores da universidade pública, em relação aos indicadores de Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho. Observa-se, porém, que existem pontos críticos de insatisfação na universidade privada e pública.

O artigo investiga os diferenciais de remuneração entre os professores dos diversos níveis de ensino, das redes pública e privada. Analisando somente os salários, os diferenciais são na maior parte dos casos favoráveis ao setor privado. Esta conclusão se altera quando se calcula o Valor Presente do Contrato de Trabalho. O VPCT leva em consideração toda a renda auferida pelo docente, incluindo os salários recebidos durante a vida ativa e também a aposentadoria. O VPCT do ensino público é sempre mais elevado que o VPCT privado. Também são calculadas as Taxas Internas de Retorno (TIRs) da previdência social, cujos resultados mostram que os retornos do setor público são maiores que os do setor privado. Conclui-se que as diferentes regras de aposentadoria têm importância significativa nos rendimentos ao longo da vida dos docentes. Também se conclui que docentes da rede pública não recebem remuneração inferior a seus pares do setor privado.

The school bullying involves all aggressive, intentional, repetitive attitudes, occurring without apparent motivation, adopted by one or more students against another (s) causing pain and anguish, and implemented within an unequal relationship of power, making possible the intimidation of the victim. Its expressions involve defamatory rumors, discrimination, theft or damage to property, harassment, threats, beatings, isolation, exclusion of a person or group, intimidation, intolerance and disrespect. In this study, we sought to identify the design educators have about the bullying, and are known by what means are aware of the problem, is involved when identifying cases of bullying and how to give this speech. This study used for data collection a questionnaire applied to 107 educators from 14 private schools in Natal / RN, who received statistical treatment in the program SPSS and the results analyzed in the light outside of a social and historical reference. Among the results, we found that 83% of the interviewed educators has at least heard about bullying, and the information about the problem are mainly the media, like television, newspapers and magazines. The educators said that the surname and physical attacks are more frequent outbreaks of violence among students and also the most common complaints when they look for help. The necessity for intervention when it identifies a case of bullying is present in 97.03% of respondents and 73.27% of educators are also called by students or school officials to remedy the situations of bullying among students. On the forms of intervention employed, the most common is the conversation and warning the students involved. It is suggested that the intensification of studies related to the subject and the development of actions and programs antibullying involving the school community (educators, parents, students, employees), in partnership with social segments like Tutelar Council and others related to the protection of children and adolescent

Currently, several models of management services from the public administration are in operation in Brazil following a global trend. Besides the traditional public management operated in SUS, there are ongoing experiments of privately management in the public health services. Accordingly, we have developed an investigation into two Psychosocial Care Centers operating between these two forms of financial resources management: the first is the CAPS II - PAR situated in the municipality of Parnamirim whose form is private and the second is the CAPS II West Christmas is that the municipal government. We seek to know the workings of services, planning forms and criteria for use of financial resources, identify differences between departments on ways to run and see how technicians and users participate in the planning and management of these resources. Documentary Research was conducted by the municipal Christmas and the financial administration of the CAPS service in Parnamirim. Were conducted an interview with manager (mental health coordinator of Natal) and another interview with an employee of planning department in the Health Department of Natal, an interview with the coordinator and financial administrator of CAPS - PAR and two groups of discussion taped conversation with semi structured script interviews with six technicians in CAPS PAR and six professionals crowded in CAPS - West.Differences were observed in the management of resources funded from four blocks of discussion and analysis of results, where the privately-run service for the direct management and bureaucracy without being discussed and planned spending on staff, as well as through meetings with users, the use of the financial resources available in box; already in service with municipal public administration there is a hierarchy, this answering the coordination of mental health and the local health department that centralizes resources and defines their spending. There are meetings with patients and families, but the demands are limited as to what can be sued because of the manager s authorization. Such differentiation would be related to differences in the articulation of public management with the different types of possible management in public services, where from the implementation of new public administration in the Brazilian s State Management Reform initiated in the second half of the 1990s, benefit management services with private regime, with autonomy and direct transfer of resources

Study model: observacional, retrospective. Objective: to determine the frequence of the ametropic errors and other ocular problems in children with 2 to 8 year-old at Piracicaba - SP. Patients and Method: During the school year of 2000, 1001 children enrolled at the public schools of Piracicaba - SP, age ranged from 2 to 8 years old, were referred to complete ophthalmological exam. Visual acuity was previously determined using Snellen chart, applied by school teachers. Those children presenting visual acuity equal or less than 0.8, visual complaints or visual disorders were selected to appointment. Results: 51 children (5.09%) did not attended to examination. 950 children were submitted to complete ophthalmological exam. Ametropic errors were found 70.84% of the children. The most prevalent refractive errors were Hypermetropic Astigmatism (49.62%) and Hypermetropia (32,98%). Anisometropia was found in 1.78% children. Other ocular disabilities accounted for 10.21% of the examined children, such as strabismus (3.36%), eyelid changes, allergic conjunctivitis, congenital dacryostenosis, optic atrophy, corioretinitis and congenital glaucoma. Conclusion: The frequence of ocular problems observed let us to conclude the screening programs are valid surveys on decreasing rates of preventable blindness in our country.

Objective: To evaluate the dental knowledge and attendance of elementary schoolchildren according to the type of institution (public or private). Method: The sample was composed of 800 children from the 5th to 8th grades of the elementary education. The research instrument was a questionnaire composed of open questions referring to the last recall visit, type and importance of the recall visit, and knowledge of dental caries and periodontal disease. Descriptive statistical analysis was done and the chisquared test was used with a significance level of 5%. Results: There was statistically significant difference between the students from the different institutions regarding the time (p=0.001) and main reason (p=0.001) of the last visit to the dentist, knowledge of the need of periodic visits to the dentist (p=0.001), importance (p=0.001) and frequency (p=0.001) of periodic recalls, and knowledge of dental caries (p=0.001) and periodontal disease (p=0.001). Conclusion: The adolescents presented different dental knowledge and attendance, according to the type of teaching institution.

La formación profesional, definida como un bien público de apropiación privada, desdibuja la primitiva dicotomía del título del presente volumen de Cinterfor/OIT. América Latina esconde, bajo la aparente unidad de su denominación, a un continente. Esto es, un vasto espacio donde se entremezcla una abigarrada trama de diversas relaciones sociales, culturales, históricas, políticas, geográficas y económicas. El resquebrajamiento de los dos conceptos vertebrales que reúnen los trabajos que aquí se presentan permite que asome una heterogeneidad imposible de ocultar pero que se quiere común. Estructuras dínamicas, complejas y modernas coexisten con sectores atrasados, y aun marginados, resistiéndose a la simplificación. Habilidades básicas, caliicaciones y competencias no son meras palabras: reflejan la realidad de un continente que se desarrolla inarmónicamente en un proceso, político y económico, que desborda el campo de la formación profesional.

Trata da avaliação e análise do nível de satisfação de usuários de imóvies residenciais, quanto a aspectos que envolvem a produção e a utilização da edificação, levando em consideraçãp correlações entre o produto e o perfil sócio-econômico, bem como o processo de mobilidade residencial e atributos determinantes da tomada de decisão dos usuários. Apreseneta os resultados de pesquisa de campo referenciada no Método de Avaliação do Nível de Satisfação dos Clientes de Imóveis Residenciais proposto por Jobim (1997) e em técnicas de Avaliação Pós-Ocupação, realizada em uma empresa pública e em outra privada de incorporação de edificações residenciais na cidade de Belém, ambas engajadas em programas de qualidade. Foram realizadas entrevistas com representantes das direções destas empresas, aplicados questionários e realizadas entrevistas junto a proprietários de imóveis de um empreendimento da empresa privada e dois empreendimentos da empresa pública para orientar a avaliação de satisfação quanto ao atendimento prestado pela empresa, à qualidade do prédio e da unidade residencial. Constatou-se uma redução na quantidade de itens insatisfatórios no empreendimento mais recente da empresa pública em realçao ao seu empreendimento mais antigo, porém, ainda superior à quantidade de itens insatisfatórios detectados no empreendimento de incorporação privada devido a fatores relacionados às expectativas dos usuários constatadas pela pesquisa de campo.
