The objective of the research is to map and analyze the investment, strategies of develop and prospects of green chemical industry in Brazil and show the fundamental importance of basic research and applied research in the development of this industry in recent years. The complementary objectives are: (i) to evaluate the role of the Brazilian government as a catalyst, encouraging the development of green chemistry industry through incentives, subsidies and ease in credit lines; ii) mapping of relationships between companies universities and public research institutes in the field of green chemistry; iii) verification of the strategies in the world stage green chemistry, the course of time; iv) the theoretical issues and national plans, and your practicable; v) continued investment in the area, with the worry of them being affected by any matter cyclical such as the discovery of a large deposit of shale gas in the United States and a technological development of oil extraction in Brazil and vi) the pace of R&D for basic and applied in the country with the passage of time

The history of communication as a science was marked by different moments. The first one was built by technological experimentation and later, by language transformation. But the consolidation of communication as applied social science has come from theoretical research, when Lasswell and Lazarsfeld respectively proposed the hypodermic and the two-step flow theories. However, applied research – which involves experimentation and its observation in a practical application process – is once again being targeted by the academy. This text develops an essay on the importance of applied research to the development of contemporary communication, presenting examples and methods related to such reality.

During the last decades the area of science education has discussed issues related to the inclusion of the History and Philosophy of Science (HFS) in the practice of science teaching. Among the arguments put forward in favour of this approach, it is pointed out the possible enhancement of scientific content learning and the understanding of the nature of Science (NoS). In spite of such considerations, we still have a very small number of research papers reporting results of practical interventions that utilize the historical approach, moreover, there is a lack of teaching materials in this perspective. Our work has sought to contribute to this area with regard to two aspects: on the one hand, with the production of didactic material, by drawing up texts on the history of inertia for graduate students. On the other hand, we investigate whether the arguments mentioned above in relation to the didactic use of HFS sustain themselves, in a particular context. We developed and applied a didactic sequence, using the texts that we built, to teach the concept of inertia and discuss selected contents of NoS. The didactic sequence was applied in two graduate classes, one from a course of Geophysics (BSc.) and another from the Physics (teaching formation), both from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). An initial survey exposed that students, even having approached the concept of inertia in basic education, presented conceptions of common sense regarding the relationship between force and motion. The questionnaire also allowed us to identify the existence of elements of concepts considered inadequate as regards to NoS. At the end of our research, our data indicated a greater number of positive hits on the issues concerning the concept of inertia. Regarding the aspects of NoS, we were able to identify, in a few cases, a move towards a more appropriate understanding, however, certain distortions persisted, highlighting the limitations of the approach used

Psychology is a relatively new scientific branch and still lacks consistent methodological foundation to support its investigations. Given its immaturity, this science finds difficulties to delimit its ontological status, which spawnes several epistemological and methodological misconceptions. Given this, Psychology failed to demarcate precisely its object of study, leading, thus, the emergence of numerous conceptions about the psychic, which resulted in the fragmentation of this science. In its constitution, psychological science inherited a complex philosophical problem: the mind-body issue. Therefore, to define their status, Psychology must still face this problem, seeking to elucidate what is the mind, the body and how they relate. In light of the importance of this issue to a strict demarcation of psychological object, it was sought in this research, to investigate the mind-body problem in the Phenomenological Psychology of Edith Stein (1891-1942), phenomenologist philosopher who undertook efforts for a foundation of Psychology. For that, the discussion was subsidized from the contributions of the Philosophy of Mind and the support of the phenomenological method to the mind-body problem. From there, by a qualitative bibliographical methodology, it sought to examine the problem of research through the analysis of some philosophical-psychological philosopher's works, named: "Psychic Causality” (Kausalität Psychische, 1922) and “Introduction to Philosophy" (Einführung in die Philosophie, 1920). For this investigation, it was made, without prejudice to the discussion, a terminological equivalence between the terms mind and psyche, as the philosopher used the latter to refer to the object of Psychology. It sought to examine, therefore, how Stein conceived the psyche, the body and the relationship between them. Although it wasn't the focus of the investigation, it also took into account the spiritual dimension, as the philosopher conceived the human person as consisting of three dimensions: body, psyche and spirit. Given this, Stein highlighted the causal mechanism of the psyche, which is based on the variations of the vital force that emerges from the vital sphere. In relation to the corporeal dimension, the philosopher, following the analysis of Edmund Husserl (1859-1938), highlighted the dual aspect of the body, because it is at the same time something material (Körper) and also a linving body (Leib). On the face of it, it is understood that the psyche and the body are closely connected, so that it constitutes a dual-unit which is manifested in the Leib. This understanding of the problem psyche-mind/body provides a rich analysis of this issue, enabling the overcoming of some inconsistencies of the monistic and dualistic positions. Given this, it allows a strict elucidation of the Psychology object, contributing to the foundation of this science.

A fixação biológica de dióxido de carbono por microalgas é considerada a melhor forma de fixar CO2. Dentre os microrganismos utilizados destaca-se Spirulina platensis devido às suas altas taxas de fixação de CO2 e variedade de aplicações da biomassa gerada. A aplicação de modelos e simulações pode auxiliar na previsão de custos e na escolha das condições ideais de cultivo. Este trabalho teve como objetivo etsabelecer um modelo cinético no qual a iluminância é o fator limitante para o crescimento da microalga Spirulina platensis. A fim de validar o modelo proposto foi utilizada a microalga S. platensis, cultivada em meio Zarrouk modificado (NaHCO3 1,0 g.L-1 ), em biorreator aberto tipo raceway de 200L, mantido a 30°C, sob iluminação natural. A concentração celular variou de 0,19 a 0,34 g.L-1 e a velocidade específica de crescimento celular obtida a partir da regressão exponencial das curvas de crescimento de cada período iluminado variou de 0,55 a 0,59 d-1 . O modelo proposto gerou dados estimados satisfatórios (r2 =0,97). De acordo com os dados obtidos 16,2% da biomassa é consumida durante o período não iluminado.

Most of creativity in the digital world passes unnoticed by the industry practices and policies, and it isn't taken into account in the cultural and economic strategies of the creative industries. We should find ways to catalyze this creative production, showing how the user's contribution may contribute to social learning, cultural and economic advancement. To that effect, we must know what is an open creative system and how it works. Based on this diagnosis, the author that interdisciplinarity is urgent and there is also a need for a science of culture. What is at stake is a strategy of integrated development, as regards the upcoming innovation in its complex, productive and learning aspects.

En el presente estudio se evaluó diferente dosis del insecticida clarpyrifos (lorsban), para el control del gusano cogollero spodoptera frugiperda (j.e Smith), (lepidóptera: noctuidae) en el cultivo de maíz. Las dosis en estudio correspondían a 1,0.5, 0.25, 0.125,0.0625 1/mz. Y un testigo sin aplicación. El resultado del estudio nos permitirá obtener la dosis óptima que controla al gusano cogollero y así bajar los costos de producción, tanto en época bajo riego como en época de primera. En la época de siembra bajo riego, la dosis de 0.25 it/mz. Y el resto de la dosis, incluso la dosis de 1 1/mz. De clarpyrifos, no obtuvieron diferencias significativas entre si, en cuanto al promedio de rendimiento se refiere. En esta época todas las dosis ameritaron un promedio de tres aplicaciones en todo el periodo del cultivo, pero sus costo determinan las diferencias, ya que utilizando dosis baja aumentamos la eficiencia del producto, debido a que con la utilización de un litro de insecticida clarpyrifos empleando dosis bajas, es posibles poder aplicarle a una mayor cantidad de áreas del cultivo en esta época. En cuanto la obtención de ganancia, entre las dosis no existió diferencias significativas, sin embargo la dosis de 0.25 1/mz. Obtuvo una ganancia de C$ 17,982.43 por manzana y la dosis de 1 litro obtuvo una ganancia de C$ 19,411.97, como es posible notar la diferencia es mínima. Por otro lado, en la época de siembra de primera, entre las diferente dosis utilizadas no existió diferencias significativas entre sí, pero todas estas fueron diferentes al testigo, en cuanto al promedio de rendimiento se refiere. Es posible señalar que la dosis de 0.5 1t/mz. Alcanzo mayores rendimientos promedios por manzana que la dosis de 1 litro, sin embargo, las dos ameritaron una aplicación promedio en todo el periodo del cultivo en esta época. En cuanto la obtención de ganancia no existió diferencias significativas entre las diferente dosis, sin embargo la dosis de 0.5 1/mz, obtuvo una ganancia de C$ 4,660.06 por manzana y la dosis de 1 litro obtuvo una ganancia de C$ 1,514.06 por manzana. Cabe destacar que en ambas épocas se obtuvieron rendimientos sumamente bajos, por un lado en la época bajo riego el gusano cogollero mantuvo una alta presión de oviposicion, conduciendo esto a un alto nivel de infestación de plantas, reduciendo drásticamente los rendimiento y por otro lado, en la época primera el rendimiento fue afectado por causa de la enfermedad conocida como “achaparramiento”. Todo los anteriores nos permite elegir la dosis óptima más adecuada y así bajar los costos de protección en ambas épocas de siembra.
