Trata das consequências da crescente internacionalização do capital realizada pela indústria automotiva mundial, para alguns países ditos semi-industrializados, como o Brasil. Para tanto faz-se uma análise do desenvolvimento desta indústria no País, principalmente a partir dos anos oitenta, verificando as mudanças que estão ocorrendo na produção e exportação de veículos.

A presente dissertação tem como propósito básico, o estudo sistemático da estrutura e das funções do sistema de distribuição de veículos automotores na Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte. Para tal, considera as alterações no ambiente da indústria e suas conseqüências no "balanço de poder" (3) entre as instituições componentes do canal de distribuição, bem como as repercussões possíveis no perfil operacional e na dinâmica do sistema de distribuição de veículos automotores da RMBH.

No artigo, apresenta-se um estudo sobre os impactos que uma cadeia de suprimentos globalizada, em conjunto com as políticas macroeconômicas podem causar ao desenvolvimento de todo um setor econômico em um país emergente ou não, e com poder de influenciar as estratégias corporativas globais e os destinos dos arranjos produtivos de todo um setor industrial. As estratégias corporativas são globais, mas a implementação é regional. Cada país é soberano e independente, possuem suas próprias diretrizes e prioridades macroeconômica. Para o estudo utilizou-se entrevistas em profundidade com executivos da área, assim como a realização de um “workshop” reunindo montadoras, fornecedores e universidades, para discutir as causas desta estagnação e as tendências para um futuro com a política de incentivo fiscal adotado pelo governo Brasileiro, conhecido como INOVAR AUTO (Decreto 7819/2012) e os impactos na cadeia de suprimentos global. Ao final desta pesquisa, constatou-se a fragilidade deste setor no Brasil, devido a: arquitetura internacionalizada e desbalanceada da cadeia de suprimentos, com grandes multinacionais dividindo o mesmo cenário competitivo com pequenas empresas nacionais e ainda familiares; elevados e crescentes custos de produção; instabilidade macroeconômica, entre outras, acelerando o processo de esvaziamento da produção local, redução do nível de empregos, utilização intensiva de automação. Outros países também possuem fragilidades, portanto as indústrias automobilísticas, devem repensar o modelo globalizado, partindo para uma redefinição das novas competências centrais, levando a reverticalização de várias atividades.

The petrochemical industry has as objective obtain, from crude oil, some products with a higher commercial value and a bigger industrial utility for energy purposes. These industrial processes are complex, commonly operating with large production volume and in restricted operation conditions. The operation control in optimized and stable conditions is important to keep obtained products quality and the industrial plant safety. Currently, industrial network has been attained evidence when there is a need to make the process control in a distributed way. The Foundation Fieldbus protocol for industrial network, for its interoperability feature and its user interface organized in simple configuration blocks, has great notoriety among industrial automation network group. This present work puts together some benefits brought by industrial network technology to petrochemical industrial processes inherent complexity. For this, a dynamic reconfiguration system for intelligent strategies (artificial neural networks, for example) based on the protocol user application layer is proposed which might allow different applications use in a particular process, without operators intervention and with necessary guarantees for the proper plant functioning

This Master s thesis presents a discussion on customer satisfaction models investigating the relations of antecedent variables service quality, price index, complaint handling, image, affective and calculative commitment, with satisfaction and loyalty. The scope of the research is the influence of service dimensions in the car buyer s satisfaction and loyalty. A sample of 91 customers was surveyed among new cars buyers of one brand in Natal city, Brazil, and the data was analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The literature review covers subjects such as customer satisfaction, management system, customer satisfaction measurement index models. The main findings suggest that satisfaction with the car brand is mainly influenced by customization of the service, time for accomplishing servicing, and the way the dealer handle complains. Regarding the dealer itself the main variable related to satisfaction is also time for accomplishing servicing. Considering customer loyalty, the customer satisfaction with the dealer explain strongly the loyalty with the brand/manufacturer. Also, the satisfaction, affective commitment and complains handling were found related to loyalty, as the stronger variables explaining the loyalty variance. One main conclusion is that service provided by dealers is one key factor influencing the customer satisfaction and loyalty in auto industry

The growing demand for quality at competitive prices and fast production process put to the test function in the industrial Maintenance. The need for equipment with high availability to fit this fierce competitiveness makes maintenance becomes essentially reliable. Despite this current context, many companies still have an old view of maintenance, focused only on corrective services, and proposals for change are often neglected due to the sense of urgency day to day. Thus, this study aims to demonstrate through theoretical applicability of simple tool, but of great value in increasing reliability within the maintenance sector of an industry, applying the concepts of Reliability Centered Maintenance – RCM and Analysis tool Failure Modes and Effects – FMEA in equipment of a chemical company directly involved in the manufacturing process of the brake fluid, which this product is used in vehicles around the country. That way, you can identify the types, occurrence and criticality of each failure and evaluate assertively decision making for each device, avoiding unnecessary downtime and potential failures of the same

This research has as main objective the analysis of the auto industry has done to reduce disposal of solid waste in its production process as much as to facilitate the recycling of cars after they complete their life cycle. Despite the auto industry is not one of the most polluting in terms of its production process, it produces a good that is causing major pollution. In despite of the great current concern in seeking to reduce the emissions of pollutants by vehicles, as important as the quest for cleaner fuels is the study of how to dispose of old cars. Even if the car production does not increase significantly each year in relative terms, we must consider the fleet of used cars that still circulates in the world. Ending the mammoth “cemeteries” of automobiles, however, it is not so easy, even because the car is composed of various materials, which in many cases are not easily separable. In addition to an overview, the research seeks to examine the possible advances in Brazil related to the process of auto recycling

The search for better performance and competitive advantage in the current market scenario has made organizations keep their focus on quality planning and the use of effective techniques aimed at continuous improvement and optimization of processes and resources. The situation is not different for the painting process in the automotive industry, which has a significant amount of variables and influential external factors. This work, developed at General Motors in São José dos Campos, aims to analyze the feasibility of changing the painting process of the pickup S10 railings in the Antracite color located in the main line to the another line located in a Painting Repair Booth at the plant and, therefore, to study the possibility about reducing the window of cure for Antracite’s enamel by using Design of Experiments’ techniques. Applying this method is possible to find the best arrangement among studied factors of Painting Repair Booth that are, in this case, the Temperature, in Celsius degrees, and Skid’s Steps, in seconds, and it’s also possible to get their behavior according to quality requirements specified by GM rules for the Brightness and Paint Adhesion on the part. As a result, it can conclude that is possible to paint the S10 Antracite railings in the painting process’ line of Painting Repair Booth, and with the new configuration obtained by the Design of Experiments for the process variables, there are significant gains related to the parts’ quality, costs reduction and the optimization of production capacity, much in the main line as in the line of the Painting Repair Booth
