Os Fragmentos 19 e 20 dos Systementwürfe 1803/1804, de G.W.F. Hegel : introdução e tradução

O objetivo deste trabalho é traduzir e apresentar os fragmentos 19 e 20 dos Esboços de Sistema de Jena, escritos por Hegel entre 1803 e 1804. Primeiramente, farei uma rápida consideração do significado filosófico desses fragmentos, os quais tratam, desde a peculiar concepção hegeliana da consciência como espírito, da razão teórica e da razão prática como equivalentes, respectivamente, à linguagem e ao trabalho. Procuro sublinhar essa relevância filosófica a partir da interpretação habermasiana dos fragmentos, a qual lhes conferiu notoriedade como tentativa de reconstrução do materialismo histórico. A partir desta breve contextualização, apresenta-se, a seguir, uma tradução para o português dos mencionados fragmentos. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

Primeira intervenção da GNR no local do crime

Este trabalho aborda a questão dos atos preparatórios no local do crime, isto é, as medidas cautelares e de polícia que o primeiro interveniente policial que chega ao local deve aplicar. As diligências efetuadas pelo primeiro militar que assume uma ocorrência e que, normalmente, não é especialista na área da Investigação Criminal ou forense, revelam-se de elevada importância para o sucesso da investigação pois repercutem-se ao longo de toda a investigação. Essa abordagem caracteriza-se por não visar uma intervenção investigatória e inspetiva, mas sim de prevenção e proteção do local. O objetivo geral do trabalho consiste numa contribuição para uma exploração mais determinada do local onde foi cometido um crime, através do melhor desempenho possível do primeiro interveniente policial. Os objetivos específicos passam por definir os procedimentos a tomar pelo primeiro interveniente (tendo em conta a sua especialidade, materiais e particularidades da fase da investigação) e definir o que é, para ele, um crime de cenário, identificando as possíveis repercussões de uma má gestão do local do crime para o sucesso da investigação. Utilizamos o método comparativo, estudando os diferentes Manuais de procedimentos (nacionais e internacionais). O quadro de referência é o materialismo histórico pois enfatizamos a dimensão histórica dos processos sociais, a legislação vigente e os problemas atuais para interpretar o nosso estudo. Este trabalho assume contornos exploratório-explicativos. Seguimos um método dedutivo, pois pretende-se chegar a um caso particular da lei geral, ou seja, aos procedimentos específicos do primeiro interveniente policial entre toda a gestão do local do crime. Os resultados mais significativos são a justificação da importância do local do crime para a Investigação Criminal e da complexidade que pode advir para o trabalho do primeiro interveniente. É possível concluir um conjunto padrão de ações que devem ser tomadas (guia prático) e como se pode melhorar a intervenção através de formação e cooperação entre os elementos.

Ajuste del tiempo de inseminación con semen sexado en vacas superovuladas

En la actualidad los resultados de la combinación del semen sexado y superovulación (SOV) no han sido muy alentadores debido a la baja cantidad de espermatozoides así como a la corta vida media de los mismos. En un trabajo previo realizado en Brasil en vacas Holstein, se demostró que usando el protocolo de SOV P36/Lh60 e inseminando con semen sexado a las 18 y 30 horas de aplicado el inductor de la ovulación (intervalo de 12 hs entre inseminaciones) se obtiene igual cantidad de estructuras transferibles que inseminando a las 12 y 24 horas con semen no sexado. El objetivo de esta investigación fue ajustar las horas de la inseminación artificial (IA) en vacas superovuladas e inseminadas con semen sexado para lograr mejor sincronía con las ovulaciones y así aumentar la cantidad de embriones transferibles. Este ajuste evaluó 2 momentos de IA en los cuales el intervalo entre ambas se disminuyó a 6 hs. Para esto se usaron 30 vacas Holstein en producción superovuladas con el protocolo P36/LH60 y se dividieron en tres grupos en forma aleatoria; en el grupo IA18/30 (control; n=10) las inseminaciones se realizaron a las 18 horas y 30 hs de la aplicación del inductor de la ovulación (GnRh); en el grupo IA18/24 (n=10) sé inseminó a las 18 y 24 hs de la GnRH y al grupo IA24/30 (n=10) se inseminó a las 24 y 30 (se usó 2.1x106 espermatozoides sexados / inseminación). No se encontró diferencia estadística en los tres grupos, sin embargo el grupo IA18/24 mostró ventaja numérica sobre el grupo IA24/30 y el Control (4,1±1,5 vs 1,3±0,4 y 1,9±0,6 respectivamente) en la cantidad de embriones transferibles, con lo que concluimos que el ajuste en las horas de IA con semen sexado en vacas Holstein superovuladas puede ser usado con resultados similares a los trabajos anteriores

The deep end: pedagogy and the public pool

Diving in to New Materialist theory, this paper explores what might be learnt at a public swimming pool. Writing, sitting, thinking and swimming, the learner enters new spaces and atmospheres, where learning emerges as unpredictable and involving a whole range of human and non human bodies. Public spaces, where we can think about causality and design without the strictures of school curriculum, may emerge as key sites for new understandings of learning where abiding humanist preoccupations can slip away. This presentation involves movement, touching, flesh, smelling, silicone, cotton and water. Be prepared to get changed!

Chamber music in painting photography film

This exhibition expands upon the history, approaches of experimental film and image making. Through speculative and abstract approaches the artists appropriate images to deal with trauma, confusion and nostalgia. The artists in this exhibition use personal imagery to demonstrate abstract ideals and idiosyncratic perspectives. Work in the show will be made up of photographic prints, collage, 16mm film and video work. Through physical manipulations of the image surface, retrenching of forgotten archives and poetic layerings of time and place, this exhibition aims to examine the de-linear and personal ways artists can experiment with the image.Through incorporating work of long standing artists Dirk De Bruyn and Luigi Fusinato in contrast with the work of young artists Anna Higgins and Beth Caird, the exhibition will examine the relationship between experimental film from a pre-digital context and how it influences, echoes and evolves in a post-digital environment.

Current and future friends of the earth: assessing cross-national theories of environmental attitudes

Empirical studies of public opinion on environmental protection have typically been grounded in Inglehart’s post-materialism thesis, proposing that societal affluence encourages materially-sated publics to look beyond their interests and value the environment. These studies are generally conducted within, or at best across, Western, democratic, industrialized countries. Absence of truly cross-cultural research means the theory’s limitations have gone undetected. This article draws on an exceptionally broad dataset—pooling cross-sectional survey data from 80 countries, each sampled at up to three different points over 15 years—to investigate environmental attitudes. We find that post-materialism provides little account of pro-environment attitudes across diverse cultures, and a far from adequate explanation even in the affluent West. We suggest that unique domestic interests, more than broad value systems, are driving emerging global trends in environmental attitudes. The environment’s future champions may be the far from ‘post-material’ citizens of those developing nations most at risk of real material harm from climate change and environmental degradation.

Open me when you feel it's necessary

In this work, purportedly the introduction to a conference workshop, the humanist teacher figure is absent and therefore flattened into the material landscape of the auditorium, which remains open to transformation; the “stage” merely contains an envelope, lamp-lit on a plastic chair, for participants to open if they wish, playing with learner/audience expectations and disrupting conventional ideas of what a conference presentation should be. This work seeks to move beyond merely interrogating designs for future subjects to ask how the pedagogical imagination works with both the material and immaterial, with ecologies continually transforming in the process of making as the audience participates in the unfolding performance. Through this, I have sought to explore ways to challenge delivery or conduit metaphors for education, and to resist stasis and closure.

Swimming lessons : learning, new materialisms, posthumanism, and post qualitative research emerge through a pool poem

This article shifts from the formal learning spaces of school anduniversity to an Australian public swimming pool to playfullyengage some of the dilemmas that recent theory poses forcurriculum studies. The article enacts multiple diffractions(Barad, 2007) as theory becomes swimming and swimmingbecomes theory, and ideas and movements are themselvesdiffracted or changed by the writing of a poem. What does thepool teach us? What is learnt at the pool? How does learningemerge at the pool? Physics, chemistry, biology, and artistrycombine, as multiple human and non-human bodies intra-act(Barad, 2007), calling each other into being in this exploration ofhow distributed agencies and fractal causalities (Bennett, 2010)change how learning might be thought, represented, andswum. The poem incorporated here serves as provocation andinspiration for other scholars struggling with these educationaldilemmas and interested in arts-based research.

Whiteout: writing collaborative online poetry as inquiry

This article shares an experimental poem created by three poet-researchers using an online word processor to collaboratewithin a single document. We attempt to blur the line between creative and academic writing, focusing on the possibilities for writing as a method of inquiry and the opportunities for different perceptions of being that it suggests. Our project unfolds as we also produce a brief diffractive reading that does not mirror or deconstruct the poem, but thinks it in an alternative way, as a broader collaboration, or intra-action between entities, both human and non-human. We avoid determining how our purported individual voices merge to form any united voice. Rather, we are alert to agencies and flows that complicate understandings of us as three rational, discrete, fully formed human figures articulating coherent narratives. We therefore offer a response to theoretical calls to explore collaborative writing as inquiry, through sharing our practice.

¿Y la memoria para qué? participación política de mujeres víctimas del conflicto armado. Estudio de caso: ruta pacífica de las mujeres (2005-2014)

El interés de este Estudio de Caso es identificar y explicar los alcances de la construcción de memoria en la sociedad colombiana, no sólo como elemento de no olvido sino también como herramienta de resistencia y de acción de aquellos que la construyen y reconstruyen. Por ello, la investigación pretende determinar el vínculo existente entre memoria y participación política, analizando y explicando la manera como mujeres pertenecientes a Ruta Pacífica de las Mujeres han construido memoria respecto a los procesos de violencia que enfrentan y la forma como ello ha hecho posible la consolidación de una identidad colectiva por medio de la cual resisten a la violencia y a los códigos culturales que la perpetúan. En consecuencia, se efectúa un análisis a los documentos elaborados por Ruta Pacífica respecto a construcción de memoria y junto con ello, un examen a los procesos participativos que han adelantado las mujeres pertenecientes a Ruta Pacífica.
