Jogo musical e humanização: um olhar lúdico, complexo e sistêmico na educação

Este livro foi inspirado nas experiências do diretor musical, ator e bonequeiro Paulo César Cardozo de Miranda nas áreas artísticas e pedagógicas, direcionadas a crianças, educadores e arte-educadores e relacionadas à contação de histórias, jogos, brincadeiras, teatro de bonecos, entre outras. Tais experiências suscitaram no autor inquietações referentes à educação, em especial no que tange às relações entre professor e aluno vistos como indivíduos preocupados com seu desenvolvimento pessoal e, especificamente, com a música. Ele focaliza questões que envolvem jogos e brincadeiras enquanto expressões musicais, a presença do lúdico na música e no ensino e, também, as implicações dessas atividades na formação de professores e músicos. Cardozo de Miranda propõe a compreensão dos jogos e brincadeiras não só como próprios da vida social, mas também como práticas pertinentes à Educação Musical, Educação e Estudos Sociais. Aqui, ele é movido inclusive pela constatação de que, apesar da obrigatoriedade do ensino da Música na educação básica, instituída por lei em 2008, há lacunas na pesquisa relacionada aos conhecimentos necessários para atender às demandas didáticas nessa área pedagógica. As reflexões do autor são apoiadas por trabalho de campo realizado com alunos de 10 e 11 anos do sexto ano de escola pública estadual da cidade de São Paulo. A pesquisa procurou levantar aspectos das realidades musicais das crianças, investigando principalmente a possível existência de repertórios de memória individual e coletiva

Vozes periféricas: expansão, imersão e diálogo na obra dos Racionais MC's

This paper presents a reflection on the work of the rap group from São Paulo Racionais MC's, highlighting points of dialogue between his last two studio albums: Sobrevivendo no inferno, 1997, and Nada como um dia após o outro, 2002. We found, in this discursive course, the presence of voices which intertwine and indicate a collectivized speech, seeking the identification between the slums and the group's rhetoric, but they also point out to an immersion into the subjectivity, to the problematization of the discourse itself, acting as a form of debugging of the social experience in the favela. We argue further that Sobrevivendo no inferno represents a turning point in the thinking of the quartet. Thus, themes and perspectives present, although embryonically, in the first focused album, point to dramas that take shape in the second one.

Comparison of Botu-bov and Tris as Freezing Extenders of Buffalo Sperm Recovered from Epididymal Cauda

Valuable genetic material can be preserved by the cryopreservation of epididymal sperm. This study evaluated the viability of pre-freezing and post-thawed sperm samples recovered from the epididymal cauda of buffaloes. Epididymides from eight Murrah buffaloes with 18 months of age were used. Semen samples were diluted in two different freezing extenders: Botu-bov (BB) and Tris (TRIS). Immediately after slaughter, both testicles from each animal were collected and transported at 4 degrees C for six hours interval. In laboratory, the removed epididymides were flushed to obtain sperm and the fractions were diluted in both freezing extenders (BB and TRIS). Semen doses were analyzed before and after frozen at -196 degrees C. BB and TRIS pre-freezing results were 38.54 +/- 22.33%(b) and 14.17 +/- 12.78%(a) for total motility (TM), 25.00 +/- 16.12(a) and 9.44 +/- 9.11(a) for progressive motility (PM), 7.21 +/- 0.98(a) and 5.09 +/- 2.65(a) for percentage of rapid cells (RAP), 91.08 +/- 12.53(b) and 63.33 +/- 31.47(a) for velocity of trajectory (VAP), 73.54 +/- 20.17(b) and 49.50 +/- 9.11(a) for linear progressive velocity (VSL), 172.21 +/- 24.55(a) and 116.94 +/- 59.48(a) for curvilinear velocity (VCL), respectively (P < 0.05). BB and TRIS post-thawing results were 42.25 +/- 21.50(b) and 17.62 +/- 19.46(a) for TM, 27.25 +/- 24.86(a) and 18.00 +/- 13.68(a) for PM, 7.35 +/- 0.98(a) and 6.26 +/- 1.13(a) for RAP, 91.42 +/- 16.86(a) and 75.96 +/- 13.17(a) for VAP, 67.96 +/- 12.13(a) and 60.04 +/- 10.42(a) for VSL, 177.54 +/- 23.53(b) and 141.29 +/- 24.97a for VCL, respectively (P < 0.05). The sperm recovered from the epididymal cauda, after 6 h storage of epididymides at 5 degrees C ensures sperm preservation demonstrating that the diluent Botu-bov had higher total motility both pre-and post-freezing when compared with TRIS. Additionally, the sperm frozen with the diluent Botu-bov showed higher values of VSL at post-thawing. These findings may reflect in improvement of conception rates.

O uso de imagens para o ensino da história e cultura africana e afro-brasileira e a questão do racismo no Brasil

The objective of this article was to argue how to use images (as films, photos and paintings) and lyrics of musics (as rap) to teach History of the African and Afro- Brazilian culture in classroom. Demonstrating how the procedures had been worked in classroom, at Municipal School of Basic Education (EMEF) “Maria Pavanatti Favaro”, located in Campinas City, in the State of São Paulo-Brazil, and the results that had been reached with the use of those resources.

Benefits of soil carbon: report on the outcomes of an international scientific committee on problems of the environment rapid assessment workshop

A Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment Rapid Assessment (SCOPE-RAP) workshop was held on 18-22 March 2013. This workshop was hosted by the European Commission, JRC Centre at Ispra, Italy, and brought together 40 leading experts from Africa, Asia, Europe and North and South America to create four synthesis chapters aimed at identifying knowledge gaps, research requirements, and policy innovations. Given the forthcoming publication by CABI of a book volume of the outcomes of the SCOPE-RAP in 2014, this workshop report provides an update on the global societal challenge of soil carbon management and some of the main issues and solutions that were identified in the four working sessions.

Sistema de gestão ambiental: subsídios para a implantação em uma estação de tratamento de esgoto a partir da análise crítica de estudos ambientais prévios

The process of environmental impact assessment (EIA), in the extent of previous environmental studies, has as one of its functions to provide subsidies to the actions of environmental managment of enterprises. However, the proper estructuring of programs that allows to support this managment does not often occurs. This research sought as one of its objectives to evaluate in which extent the process of EIA can be a subsidie for the EMS, providing basic elements of this system. In addition, more specifically, the research had as one of its objetives the development of subsidies for the implantation of an Environmental Managment System (EMS), based on the model of ISO 14001 (2004), for a sewage treatment plant yet to be constructed in the city of President Venceslau / SP. In order to achieve theses objetives, a discussion was held based on the evaluation of environmental studies available in the library of Cetesb / SMA. Still, for the elaboration of subsidies for the EMS of the treatment plant, the research was focused on the structuring of environmental management program, based on the information contained in its Preliminary Environmental Report (PER). The research had as one of its products, the development of subsidies for the planning and control of the environmental aspects and impacts and for the environmental program of the enterprise, based on the use of environmental indicators. It was concluded, based on the results that, in general, the previous environmental studies analyzed showed little emphasis on the phase of development of structured environmental programs that offer guidelines to achieve the desired results for the environmental performance of the company.

Figuras da comédia em prosa

El ilustrador francés Jacques Callot (1592-1635) representó personajes de la Commedia dell’Arte en su obra Balli di Sfessania (1616-1620), compuesta por 24 figuras. Esas imágenes se caracterizan por mostrar personajes en movimiento, teniendo al fondo escenas de la realidad italiana. El romántico alemán E. T. A. Hoffmann (1776-1822) insirió en sus cuentos y romances muchos elementos que remiten a las obras tanto de otros escritores como de pintores y músicos. Callot fue visitado por por Hoffmann en varias de sus publicaciones, entre ellas el cuento “Princesa Brambilla” (1821),que posee ocho imágenes directamente elaboradas a partir del modelo de Callot en Balli di Sfessania. Esas imágenes, sin embargo, no representan meras “ilustraciones” con respecto a la historia. Mucho más que ello, las imágenes demuestran como Hoffmann interpretaba las figuras de Callot y, como ellas sintetizaron la relación del escritor con Italia ( país que siempre deseó, pero nunca logró visitarlo) y con el arte pictórica.
