Una aproximació als problemes d'equitat al sistema educatiu espanyol

El sistema educatiu espanyol s'enfronta a una sèrie de grans reptes en l'àmbit de l'equitat. Alguns d'ells són comuns a tots els països europeus, però d'altres són específics d'Espanya o manifesten una gravetat especial en el context espanyol. Les polítiques d'educació des de la dècada de 1970 han permès l'accés al sistema educatiu de sectors populars cada cop més amplis, i s'han aplicat diverses reformes que han allargat l'escolarització obligatòria fins els 16 anys. Amb tot, i malgrat els progressos, el cert és que els nivells d'accés i d'èxit escolar encara estant molt marcats per factors socioeconòmics, ètnics i regionals.

El seu article parteix de l'afirmació que el destí de les dones al segle XIX està marcat, en la ficció, pel "bovarysme", malaltia que proposa que les dones s'emmalalteixen i moren perquè llegeixen malament. El treball analitza aquest problema de la "mala lectura" traçant un recorregut que va des de Fernán Caballero fins a Freud i es comenten alguns episodis de lectura que apareixen en la "Autobiografía" de Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, Clemencia, Amalia, Madame Bovary, María, La regenta i El caso Dora. Her article departs from the statement that the destiny of women in the 19th century is determined, in fiction, by "bovarysm", an illness which proposes that women get sick and die because they read incorrectly. The work analyzes this problem of "bad reading" tracing a journey from Fernán Caballero to Freud, and comments on several episodes about the act of reading, from Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda's "Autobiography", Clemencia, Amalia, Madame Bovary, María, La Regenta and Dora's Case.

Bibliotecas brasileiras vistas pelos viajantes no século XIX

Desde o seu descobrimento, o Brasil foi alvo da curiosidade estrangeira. A partir dos primeiros séculos da colonização, o país começou a receber viajantes cujo número aumentou consideravelmente com a abertura dos portos em 1808. Após o retorno aos países de origem, muitos publicaram seus relatos de viagens, que atraíram levas de leitores. O conjunto dessas obras, conhecido como "literatura de viagens", constitui rica fonte para o estudo de diferentes aspectos da história do Brasil. Este artigo traz uma compilação das informações deixadas por viajantes sobre bibliotecas brasileiras. Sem pretender cobrir todos os autores, foram examinados os relatos mais conhecidos abrangendo o período do século XIX. Não se buscou fazer uma análise desses dados nem a sua verificação, mas apresentar o panorama das bibliotecas percorridas pelos visitantes e a forma como foram vistas por eles no período citado.

L'article de Boix fa un balanç de les llengües en els òrgans centrals de l'Estat espanyol al llarg de 25 anys de la Constitució espanyola. L'article està bastit a partir de dos blocs: el primer és una presentació històrica de la relació entre l'Estat i les llengües, i el segon és una valoració per part del propi autor sobre les necessitats actuals de la política lingüística estatal.
