Aspectos envolvendo as atitudes negativas de alunos com relação à matemática no primeiro ciclo do ensino fundamental

A matemática é vista pela maioria das pessoas como a disciplina escolar mais difícil. Muitas pessoas a vêem, desde muito cedo, como um “bicho de sete cabeças”, e pais e alguns professores, muitas vezes, colaboram com essa situação. Considerando que muitas investigações envolvendo as atitudes dos alunos em relação à matemática já foram realizadas na área da Educação Matemática, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi sistematizar os principais resultados nelas apresentados. As atitudes negativas dos alunos em relação à matemática estão associadas a quais aspectos? Esta será a questão norteadora da investigação. Mais especificamente, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa bibliográfica sobre as atitudes dos alunos do primeiro ciclo do Ensino Fundamental em relação à matemática. A partir dela, elencamos e analisamos, em oito pesquisas selecionadas, motivos que podem estar associados às atitudes negativas dos alunos em relação à matemática. Para tanto, utilizamos o banco de teses e dissertações da Capes, bem como outros trabalhos recentes como fontes de investigação.. Parte significativa dos estudos reforça a relação entre as atitudes dos alunos frente à Matemática e os aspectos envolvidos no processo de ensino e aprendizagem dessa disciplina e todos eles apontam o papel do professor como principal responsável pelas atitudes positivas e/ou negativas apresentadas pelos alunos com relação à matemática, ainda que a família também tenha sido citada como relevante no processo

Identificação dos Arthropoda: subsídios para o ensino de Ciências e Biologia

As características dos artrópodes (insetos, crustáceos, aracnídeos, miriápodes) e conceitos a eles relacionados são conteúdos abordados pelas disciplinas de Ciências e Biologia, no ensino fundamental e médio. Neste contexto, considera-se relevante a elaboração de materiais que contribuam para os processos de ensino e aprendizagem desta temática e que incorporem a dimensão lúdica. Assim, a proposta desenvolvida teve como objetivos principais a elaboração e confecção de uma caixa contendo espécimes de artrópodes incrustados em resina, de modo a permitir o contato e a manipulação desses espécimes pelos alunos. Além disso, elaboramos um jogo didático, abordando as estruturas morfológicas dos artrópodes e suas funções, com o intuito de fixar o conhecimento adquirido em sala pelos alunos. Como complementação, desenvolvemos uma guia de orientação para o professor e um manual direcionado aos alunos, para os auxiliarem durante o desenvolvimento da aula. A elaboração deste trabalho foi uma maneira de tentar transmitir o tema proposto de forma dinâmica e agradável, tanto para o professor quanto para os alunos. O conteúdo fornecido neste trabalho foi baseado em livros didáticos específicos em zoologia de invertebrados, para possibilitar aulas com conteúdo adequado e para prevenir erros conceituais

Matemática comercial e financeira com a utilização de recursos digitais: uma experiência no ensino médio

This work aimed to investigate the possible contributions of the use of digital resources in the teaching and learning process of Commercial and Financial Mathematics concepts to high school students. Its development has included a survey of some researches on the topic as well as an experimental study of a qualitative type, in which the Webquest was used as methodology. It uses the computer, more precisely the internet resources, to assist students in building up knowledge. Eight meetings were held, in the after-school period, with a group of students of the second year of high school at a state public school in the city of Guaratinguetá. Aiming to evaluate the knowledge that students had about the theme, it was applied a diagnosis at first glance for further analysis and development of activities and interventions according to the students’ answers. Once the research data was analyzed, it was noted that the students had little knowledge regarding the basic contents of Commercial and Financial Mathematics, in addition to presenting difficulties in handling some of the digital resources used in the meetings. Nonetheless, from the students’ works, it was seen significant advances in understanding and building up knowledge on concepts such as percentage, simple and compound interest, savings, and sales involving prompt payment or in arrears

A abordagem do voseo em materiais didáticos brasileiros de ensino do espanhol como língua estrangeira

This work discusses the importance of the language varieties in the Spanish language to the process of teaching and learning Spanish as a foreign language (ELE), focusing on the approach, ie, how to deal with the phenomenon voseo in Brazilian textbooks. It presents a brief historical overview on the arising of this language and its implementation in Latin America. From an educational approach that values a good development of communicative competence, it’s driven to a presentation of the Spanish schoolbooks selected by PNLD for the year 2012, as well as an observation of activities that demonstrate the phenomenon called voseo, in other words, the use of the variety of the pronoun vos instead of tú for the treatment of the second person. Given the vast range of Spanish courses as a foreign language for high school students, and the growing interest of young people in learning a second language, this study addresses the importance of developing the communicative competence of a foreign language

O ensino e a surpresa: experimentos surpreendentes e suas possibilidades no ensino de Física

Some experiments in Physics teaching have an amazing effect among the students, that is, generally be characterized by counteracting the initial expectations of students. This characteristic may contribute to the emergence of learning situations extremely promising. However, the privilege, by the teacher, the description of certain results shortens the involvement that the student could establish on teaching situations favor a more careful observation that can be done. We discuss in this paper, the that surprise may be manifested in the student on an experimental demonstration and its ability to mobilize the interest and curiosity of this student. We intend to observe the pedagogic value that represents the amazing effect such in situations of teaching and learning, particularly for the Teaching of Physics, as well as the possibilities for educational approaches.Through an extensive analysis of several authors who address about experimental learning activities, Epistemology of Science and Education, we found some results that lead us to understand some of the possibilities that the surprise element can propose. We describe a demonstration activity that we consider amazingly from our point of view and that was realized in a regular classroom in a of Rio Claro Public High School in the year of 2011

As (im)possibilidades da etnomatemática no ensino escolar

This work aims to raise the possibilities of the use of the Ethnomathematics in the teaching of school mathematics, especially in aspects related to socio-cultural issues, in view of its universal character and its importance for the understanding of mathematics as a human construction. The teaching of mathematics is influenced by a belief that mathematics is only for the intelligent. With this, she assumes, consciously or unconsciously, a characteristic of social segregation and intellectual who has served as domination of the masses. Thus, this study may contribute to the teacher entered the school environment offering you one more tool in an attempt to succeed in the teaching and learning. We have forwarded this research in the theoretical literature, gathering input for the near future we can verify their efficacy or, more daring, we can contribute to an educational proposal that has as a prerequisite to sociocultural factors that underlie the teaching and learning of mathematics and that it will meet the real needs of the population

Laboratório didático: perspectivas experimentais do ensino de física no nível médio

Here we present an exploratory study on the use of laboratory teaching in four schools of Basic Education in Rio Claro, SP, three of them high school and one of the second cycle of basic education, developed in the years 2011 and 2012, under activities of the course Prática de Ensino e Estágio Supervisionado, the Degree in Physics - UNESP, Rio Claro campus and work with Pibid (Projeto Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência) in agreement UNESP CAPES Notice 2009. Initially, we diagnose the situation and identify the laboratories using them for Teaching Physics, from direct observation and contact with teachers. Based on the experimental realization of educational activities in such schools, we discuss different teaching strategies, and using experiments built with inexpensive materials (Ferreira and Ramos, 2008). We analyzed the role of the teaching laboratory in the development of skills and abilities of students, related to the teaching and learning of Physics, as well as aspects concerning the use of instructional laboratories

Desvendando o sistema ABO: subsídios para o ensino de ciências e biologia

O conteúdo “Grupos sanguíneos” é abordado principalmente no ensino de biologia no Ensino Médio e está atrelado a diversas questões biológicas relevantes ao ensino básico. Além disso, sabe-se que esse tema é de cunho abstrato aos alunos, o que muitas vezes dificulta a apropriação do conteúdo pelo aluno. Nesse contexto, se torna relevante a elaboração de materiais que contribuam para um melhor processo de ensino e aprendizagem desse tema, além da incorporação da dimensão lúdica no universo escolar. Assim, a proposta do presente trabalho foi a elaboração de dois modelos didáticos de célula que facilitem a visualização da relação direta existente entre os genes responsáveis pela manifestação dos antígenos do sistema ABO, os genótipos dos diferentes indivíduos e as possibilidades de transfusão sanguínea existentes dentro de cada grupo sanguíneo. Além disso, foi construído um jogo didático de perguntas e respostas que envolvem os conhecimentos adquiridos durante a explanação teórica do professor com o intuito de fixação do conteúdo. O trabalho de licenciandos em alemão e inglês no PIBID: a construção da prática docente a partir das crenças de alunos do Ensino Médio sobre língua e cultura estrangeira

For some time, researchers in teacher education (ZEICHNER; LISTON, 1996; GIMENEZ, 2005) have been drawing attention to the need to place undergraduates in contexts of practice that help them make sense of the theoretical training they receive in the graduation course. In this article, we discuss the intersection between school and university for initial foreign language teacher education through activities carried out under the Brazilian Institutional Program for Initiation to Teaching – Language and Literature of a state university. These activities were aimed, on the one hand, to promote reflection about the concept of culture and intercultural language teaching during initial teacher education and, secondly, to deconstruct stereotypes of high school students about German and English language and culture. Based on the analysis of data on the beliefs of students of the school and the support of theoretical studies such as Kramsch (2006, 2009), Bolognini (1993), among others, workshops were designed to expand the cultural universe of the high school students in the partner state school, the concept of culture and to deconstruct stereotypes. It was found that the activity contributed to the reflective education of the undergraduate students in relation to the treatment of the subject culture in language teaching.

As avaliações externas e suas implicações para a organização do trabalho numa escola da rede estadual paulista: um estudo de caso

This research analyses the positives and/or negatives of external reviews to work's organization developed at the/and by the school. It should be noted that it's a qualitative case of empirical research, and it takes the pattern of case's study, because we held the investigation just in one school, which in turn, belongs to the education's public network by the state, and is located at the São Paulo northwest. The tools employed at this research for the data's collect were the observation, restricted to times of Pedagogical Work Activities Collective from the school, and the semi structured interviews with educational coordinators and the teachers too. We choose educational coordinators and teachers because they are closer with the education and learning methods, as well as their activities have more responsibility in relation to the main function developed by school, that is to teach, in other words, educational processes. This research also concerns an investigation about the educational coordinators and teachers conceptions, in relation to system's implantation external reviews at the schools. The results indicate to incidence of significant interference of the external reviews to/in the organization school's work, as, a teaching practice reorientation from results arising these reviews, or, modifications in the internal rating, since they have followed a tendency towards becoming more similar with their own external reviews. In what concerns the subjects investigated, we can emphasize that mostly submitted alienation with respect to negative effects of the external reviews for school. They showed that are conformed with the reality that they are inserted and in your mostly they proved perceive the positive effects by the implantation of external reviews. Contradições no uso de tecnologias em contexto de estágio de um curso de Letras: o professor de inglês em formação inicial no ensino superior

A geometria tridimensional apresentada nos livros didáticos de matemática do 5º ano do ensino fundamental

O presente trabalho realiza um estudo referente à Geometria Tridimensional, no que tange a sua metodologia apresentada nos livros didáticos de Matemática. Esse instrumento tem passado por um processo de avaliação mais rigoroso nas últimas décadas pelos órgãos governamentais para a promoção do livro com qualidade o que é importante, porém uma análise crítica de seus conteúdos é essencial para que esse instrumento torne-se adequado a cada realidade e um aliado no planejamento do educador no processo de ensino e aprendizagem da Geometria. Essa disciplina é considerada por vários autores e especialista da educação como um conhecimento muito pertinente para a formação integral do aluno, ao proporcionar o desenvolvimento do raciocínio visual, espacial e lógico, abrangendo também a formação cultural e profissional. Nesse sentido, considerando a importância da escolha de um livro adequado e coerente para a qualidade desse ensino, objetivouse com esse estudo realizar uma análise e reflexão sobre os conteúdos da Geometria Tridimensional apresentada em dois livros didáticos de matemática do 5º ano do ensino fundamental submetidos aos critérios eliminatórios do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático - PNLD (2013) e aprovado pelo Ministério da Educação. Mediante levantamento bibliográfico da literatura pertinente e análise de documentos oficiais foi possível verificar que os mesmos apresentaram progressos em alguns aspectos atendendo de forma parcial as propostas atuais para esse ensino demonstrando que ainda precisam evoluir
