Mitigation of the bullwhip effect considering trust and collaboration in supply chain management: a literature review

The aim of this paper is to provide results of trust and collaboration that lead to the mitigation of the bullwhip effect in supply chain management through a systematic literature review. The criterion for its inclusion in the sample of papers was that at least two reviews of the respective subfields were published in peer-reviewed journals between 1990 and 2014. A total of 24 articles were selected. The analysis found that few studies focused on addressing behavioral aspects to reduce the bullwhip effect. Most of them focused on operational and quantitative aspects. These results indicate the need for studies on behavioral aspects in mitigating the bullwhip effect, where trust and collaboration among those involved in the supply chain need to be developed and organized.

A busca de linguagens contemporâneas em artes: reflexões na universidade a partir de Centro de Pesquisa Plástica

This work is about the extension project “Plastic Research Centre”, developed at Unesp (Bauru/São Paulo/Brasil) by the author along with the students of Artistic Education (Plastic Arts). Aiming to encourage the students on supports and alternative techniques, the Audiovisual and Visual Arts Study Group - GRAVA was created as a place for reflexion and creation. The group has been seeking a personal language, improving it as the means to communicate its interpretation of the world are investigated, being it in the urban space or in cultural and virtual centres. By extending the university knowledge to the local community, it is intended to motivate the student’s research along with the professoriate and promote the creation process and artistic works focusing the group’s view on the context it is inserted.

O lugar do desenho no século XX: dimensões e conceito

The following work proposes an approach to drawing based upon a language which is diluted and also introduced in the hybridization perceived in the 21st Century. Based on a shift of languages in visual arts which refers to appropriations and to the expansion of possibilities for the procedure and the physicality of the artistic work, it looks into the place of drawing, its dimensions and concepts. While it is an expressive vehicle, the drawing constitutes an indispensable element for the development of expression forms, transformed and diversified over centuries. In the 21st Century, its plurality presents it in several dimensions. When it is expanded in the space, it not only makes sure that it not bi dimensional, as well as it is asserted in its essence, besides coded methods. The text is structured around theoretical and practical researches based on Ostrower, Derdyk, Canclini and author/artist.

O desenho na obra de Wim Wenders: 'Até o fim do mundo'

The present work is an investigation into the possibilities of development of drawing in the contemporaneity and the detachment which certain poetic art could have to the point of absorbing more than one language in the materialization of the idea as it meets the development of the individual approach from the producer's work.This reading is sought in the work of the filmmaker Wim Wenders, more specifically in his film "Until the End of the World" and the way it presents the images are due to the proximity of different artistic languages. While cropping, framing are part of the procedures present in the artist's creative process to meet the needs of its poetics.

Fayga Ostrower: estudos sobre a pesquisa plástica e teórica nos processos criativos

The way we look express our soul, so there is no way to disregard the presence of intuitive processes in the creation of any work, like say Fayga Ostrower. Based on the theories of the artist, intends to investigate how their own texts read his plastic production, heavily influenced by German Expressionism. The concernment of the research is in the approach how their publications favor the understanding of artistic making as a moment against the intuitive and the fullness of the original creation and true to the thought of the artist.

Spatial intra-annual variability of precipitation based on geostatistics. a case study for the Paraiba do Sul Basin, southeastern Brazil

The emphasis in this research is to evaluate the spatial distribution of the precipitation using a geostatistics approach. Seasonal time scales records considering DJF, MAM, JJA e SON periods performed the analysis. Procedures to evaluate the variogram selection and to produce kriging maps were performed in a GIS environment (ArcGIS®). The results showed that kriging method was very suitable to detect both large changes in the whole area as those local small and subtle changes. Kriging demonstrated be a powerful statistical interpolation method that might be very useful in regions with great complexity in climatology and geomorphology.

A potencialidade da arte contemporânea ao transcender linguagens favorecendo a vida

Reflection about the contemporary production artistic, the own make artistic and the creative process that involve them it is noted that, comes to the poetic construction the action to greater understanding the being as artist and from the being while humanity. In current procedures that do not prioritize more materials, supports or languages for the production of works, but human being and his complexities, the art is manifested as the essence, need of renovation. From the documentary "Window of the Soul", directed by João Jardim and Walter Carvalho, and from personal creations is studied the transcendence of materiality in hybrids process, actions at resignify the look that investigates and reinterprets. In this exercise, art is justified as experience necessary, metaphors for the life, to teach us to see, fell and restructure us.

Comparative analysis of rating curve and ADP estimates of instantaneous water discharge through estuaries in two contrasting Brazilian rivers

This work quantifies, using ADP and rating curve techniques, the instantaneous outflows at estuarine interfaces: higher to middle estuary and middle to lower estuary, in two medium-sized watersheds (72 000 and 66 000 km(2) of area, respectively), the Jaguaribe and Contas Rivers located in the northeastern (semi-arid) and eastern (tropical humid) Brazilian coasts, respectively. Results from ADP showed that the net water balances show the Contas River as a net water exporter, whereas the Jaguaribe River Estuary is a net water importer. At the Jaguaribe Estuary, water retention during flood tide contributes to 58% of the total volume transferred during the ebb tide from the middle to lower estuary. However, 42% of the total water volume (452 m(3) s(-1)) that entered during flood tide is retained in the middle estuary. In the Contas River, 90% of the total water is retained during the flood tide contributing to the volume transported in the ebb tide from the middle to the lower estuary. Outflows obtained with the rating curve method for the Contas and Jaguaribe Rivers were uniform through time due to river flow normalization by dams in both basins. Estimated outflows with this method are about 65% (Contas) and 95% (Jaguaribe) lower compared to outflows obtained with ADP. This suggests that the outflows obtained with the rating curve method underestimate the net water balance in both systems, particularly in the Jaguaribe River under a semi-arid climate. Influence of HLA-DRB-1 alleles on the production of antibody against CSP, MSP-1, AMA-1, and DBP in Brazilian individuals naturally infected with Plasmodium vivax

We evaluated the influence of allelic frequency of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) -DRB1 on the acquisition of antibody response against malaria sporozoite and merozoite peptides in patients with Plasmodium vivax malaria acquired in endemic areas of Brazil. IgG antibodies were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay against four peptides of circumsporozoite protein (CSP) (amino, carboxyl, and VK210 and VK247 repeats) and peptides of merozoite surface protein 1 (MSP-1), apical membrane antigen 1 (AMA-1), and Duffy-binding protein (DBP). We found an association between HLA-DR3 and HLA-DR5 alleles and lack of antibody response to CSP amino terminal, as well as an association between HILA-DR3 and the highest antibody response to MSP1 (Pv200L). In conclusion, we suggest a potential regulatory role of the H1A-DRB1 alleles in the production of antibodies to a conserved region of P. vivax CSP and MSP1 in Brazilian population exposed to malaria.
