La biblioteca recombinada: portals i persones

Aquest article explora el disseny i l'ús dels portals en un entorn bibliotecari. Tracta les motivacions per construir portals, així com l'estructura i la tipologia d'aquests. A més, examina l'entorn de l'usuari en què es desenvolupen aquests portals. També argumenta que aporten serveis útils d'integració i presentació, però que s'han de considerar com a component d'un conjunt de serveis més ampli que la biblioteca està construint per tal d'introduir aquests recursos útils als usuaris. Així mateix, considera breument els serveis que els portals ofereixen: consulta distribuïda o metacerca, personalització, demandes, resolució OpenURL, avisos, etc. També considera l'emergent necessitat de serveis de directori o de registre per a coses com la descripció de col·leccions i serveis, dades de drets i polítiques, etc. Tracta l'impacte dels serveis web i el canvi en els models d'investigació i aprenentatge en relació al subministrament i ús d'informació en xarxa. Finalment, considera els serveis bibliotecaris com a part d'un entorn de sistemes, cada vegada més ric, que inclou els sistemes de gestió d'aprenentatge i de programari educatiu, portals de campus, serveis compartits com l'autenticació, i altres sistemes i serveis.

Tecnologías de la información aplicadas a los servicios bibliotecarios

La Biblioteca Virtual, és el resultat de l'entorn d'aprenentatge i de model pedagògic dissenyat per a la comunitat virtual de la UOC que fa imprescindible la creació, disseny i organització de serveis bibliotecaris àgils i adaptats al perfil de l'usuari virtual, i amb la capacitat d'anticipar-se a les seves necessitats.

La participació en projectes telemàtics : noves oportunitats, nous serveis

La Biblioteca de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya va començar a funcionar durant el curs 1995-1996. Des d'un bon principi, la singular concepció d'aquesta nova universitat a distància i la manca d'experiències similars en les que basar el desenvolupament dels seus serveis bibliotecaris va fer palesa la necessitat de donar una especial atenció al seguiment i l'aplicació de les noves tecnologies emergents. En els dos anys transcorreguts aquest plantejament s'ha vist consolidat i, en l'actualitat, està incorporat als objectius i a les línies d'actuació de la Biblioteca.

Servicios de información a medida para una comunidad virtual

La present comunicació descriu els Serveis d'Informació a Mida (SIM) oferts per la Biblioteca de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya a la seva comunitat docent i de recerca, així com el procés d'adaptació d'aquests serveis a un entorn virtual.

La biblioteca del futur

L'objectiu de la ponència és presentar la primera biblioteca virtual de Catalunya, a partir de l'exposició del desenvolupament de la seva planificació, els serveis bibliotecaris que ofereix i els mitjans amb què compta l'usuari per a rebre'ls.

El Projecte Biblioteca Multimedia Virtual

L'objectiu del projecte que s'exposa és el de crear serveis bibliotecaris virtuals, per donar suport a l'activitat docent i acadèmica dels estudis del Graduat Multimèdia a Distància oferts per la Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya (FPC) i la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

El blog y otras herramientas comunicativas de la biblioteca del Área de Gestión Sanitaria Este de Málaga - Axarquía

In 2006 the Library of the Andalusian Public Health System (BVSSPA) is constituted as a Virtual Library which provides Resources and Services that are accessed through inter-hospital local area network (corporate intranet) and Internet. On the other hand, the Hospital de la Axarquia still did not have any institutional or self-presence on the Internet and the librarian ask the need to create a space for communication with the "digital users" of the Library of the area through a website. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The reasons why we opted for a blog were: -It was necessary to make no financial outlay for its establishment. It allowed for great versatility, both in its administration and in its management by users. -The ability to compile on the same platform different Web 2.0 communication tools. Between different options available we chose Blogger Google Inc. The blog allowed entry to the 2.0 services or Social Web in the library. The benefits offered were many, especially the visibility of the service and communication with the user. 2.0 tools that have been incorporated into the library are: content syndication (RSS) which allowed users to stay informed about updates to the blog. Share documents and other multimedia as presentations through SlideShare, images through Flickr or Picasa, or videos (YouTube). And the presence on social network like Facebook and Twitter. RESULTS. The analysis of the activity we has been traking by Google Analytics tool, helping to determine the number of blog visits. Since its stablishment, on November 17th 2006, until November 29th 2010 the blog has received 15,787 visitors, 38,422 page views were consulted, at each visit on average 2.4 pages were consulted and each visit has an average stay at the site of 4'31''. DISCUSSION. The blog has served as a communication and information tool with the user. Since the creation of the blog we have incorporated technologies and tools to interact with the user. With all the tools used we have applied the concept of "open source" and the contents were generated from the activities organized in the Knowledge Management Unit from the anatomo-clinical sessions, the training activities, dissemination events, etc. The result has been the customization of library services, contextualized in the Knowledge Management Unit - Axarquia. In social networks we have shared information and files with the professionals and the community. CONCLUSIONS. The blog has allowed us to explore technologies that allow us to communicate with the user and the community, disseminate information and documents with the participation of users and become the "Interactive Library" we aspire to be.
