Standard Proctor compaction test data were generated for 3 soils with liquid limit water contents ranging from 48% to 84%. It has been established that by defining a soil by its liquid limit and coarse fraction, the path of compaction for a specific compactive effort can be predicted via a simple density-water content-liquid limit relationship. USC-TIMIT is an extensive database of multimodal speech production data, developed to complement existing resources available to the speech research community and with the intention of being continuously refined and augmented. The database currently includes real-time magnetic resonance imaging data from five male and five female speakers of American English. Electromagnetic articulography data have also been presently collected from four of these speakers. The two modalities were recorded in two independent sessions while the subjects produced the same 460 sentence corpus used previously in the MOCHA-TIMIT database. In both cases the audio signal was recorded and synchronized with the articulatory data. The database and companion software are freely available to the research community. Constituintes de todos os partidos assinaram um projeto de decisão para suspender a reforma fiscal que o governo está anunciando. A maioria dos Constituintes considera inoportuna uma reforma no momento, visto que a Constituinte criou sua própria reforma para entrar em vigor logo após a promulgação da nova Constituição. A Deputada Anna Maria Rattes (PMDB-RJ) afirma que a Constituição é a lei maior que vai gerar todo um novo sistema tributário que vai imperar no país. O Deputado Amaury Muller (PDT-RS) declara que se o governo tem pressa, pode usar o instrumento de projeto de lei, colocando a questão nas disposições transitórias. Com o adiamento da votação do regimento da Constituinte para quarta-feira, o que se busca agora é uma fórmula que seja aceita tanto pelo Centrão como pelas lideranças progressistas da Constituinte. Existem duas propostas: a da Mesa que permite até quatro emendas e proíbe mudança de títulos da Constituição por inteiro; e a do Centrão que dá preferência a qualquer emenda com 280 (duzendos e oitenta) assinaturas, e exige que o substitutivo da Comissão de Sistematização seja votado novamente em Plenário. O Deputado Vivaldo Barbosa (PDT-RJ), líder do PDT, está de acordo com o projeto elaborado pela Mesa. Outros Constituintes, dentre eles, o Deputado Ziza Valadares (PMDB-MG), preferem que se chegue a um acordo entre as duas propostas, e se busque uma solução conciliatória que permita novas emendas ao Projeto de Constituição, sem prejudicar o que já foi aprovado até agora. Alguns integrantes do Centrão, como o Deputado Marcos Lima (PMDB-MG), consideram que o movimento já mostrou que tem força, e que isto vai ajudar o acordo. Outros supõem que só o voto vai decidir a questão, como o Deputado José Melo (PMDB-AC). O Deputado José Freire (PMDB-GO) considera as alterações no regimento essenciais para que dê oportunidade aqueles que não participaram da Comissão de Sistematização. Um grupo de líderes do Centrão busca um entendimento. O presidente da Assembleia Nacional Constituinte (ANC), o Deputado Ulysses Guimarães (PMDB-SP), propõe um caminho para o entendimento dos grupos. Os Senadores Mário Covas (PMDB-SP), líder do PMDB, e José Lourenço (PFL-BA), líder do PFL também se reuniram no Congresso em busca de entendimento.

Jean Le Clerc nasceu em Genebra em 1657 e morreu em Amsterdã em 1736. Erudito suíço distinguiu-se como historiador, crítico, teólogo e filósofo. Suas doutrinas filosóficas carecem de unidade e foram, basicamente, fundamentadas em obras de escritores ingleses. Como pastor protestante exerceu o sacerdócio em Londres, tendo aplicado em seus estudos de teologia e exegese bíblica um critério de extrema liberdade, o que o levou a ser acusado de sociniano. Alguns de seus trabalhos foram publicados sob o pseudônimo de Joannes Phereponus. ‘Ars critica’ teve sua primeira edição em 1697. Editado em dois volumes. Contém regras para o estudo dos autores gregos e latinos clássicos, constituindo um tratado de crítica geral e dicionário para o entendimento desses autores. A quarta edição de ‘Ars critica’ foi acrescida de um terceiro volume. Considera-se a edição de 1730 a melhor dentre as publicadas. E uma obra que exigiu uma imensa erudição e grande conhecimento filosófico para sua realização

RESUMEN Se comparó el grado de resiliencia de seis crestas arrecifales del este del golfo de Batabanó, Cuba. Tres fueron del norte del golfo de Cazones (Tramo Norte) y las restantes, del oeste de Cayo Largo (Tramo Sur). Las del primer tramo fueron las de faro Cazones, Norte de la cresta de cayo Diego Pérez y de faro Diego Pérez. Las otras tres fueron las de cayo Rico, arrecifes Los Ballenatos y arrecifes Hijos de Los Ballenatos. Se emplearon los indicadores biológicos del Protocolo AGRRA. El Tramo Norte presentó las crestas más resilientes, sobre todo la de faro Cazones. Las del Tramo Sur no exhibieron resiliencia. Fueron varios e interrelacionados, los factores aparentemente más determinantes en la resiliencia. Entre estos, cuatro se consideraron como fuerzas motrices: resguardo contra el oleaje, circulación habitual giratoria ciclónica en la ensenada de Cazones, entrada de nutrientes provenientes tanto de la ciénaga de Zapata como de aguas profundas, y abundancia del erizo herbívoro Diadema antillarum. Los demás factores, desencadenados por los anteriores y también interrelacionados, fueron, al parecer la menor afectación por oleaje y sedimentos, estabilización de fragmentos vivos de coral, índices favorables de macroalgas bentónicas, cierta retención de nutrientes y plancton, más alimentación heterotrófica de los corales, mayor auto reclutamiento de corales y del erizo Diadema; mejores condiciones para el asentamiento y viabilidad de los reclutas, y para el recapamiento de corales; mayor crecimiento y recuperación de los corales y mejores condiciones térmicas contra el blanqueamiento de corales ABSTRACT The degree of resilience of six reef crest sites was compared at the east of the Gulf of Batabano, Cuba. Three of them were located north of the Gulf of Cazones (Northern Stretch), while the remaining ones were west of Cayo Largo (Southern Stretch). Those of the Northern Stretch were “Faro Cazones”, north of the crest of cayo Diego Pérez and “Faro Diego Pérez”. The remaining sites were those of the cayo Rico, Los Ballenatos reefs, and Hijos de Los Ballenatos reefs. The AGRRA biological indicators were applied. The Northern Stretch presented the most resilient crests, mainly that of “Faro Cazones”. Those of the Southern Stretch did not reveal signs of resilience. Several interrelated factors were apparently more linked to resilience. Four of them were considered as driving forces: shelter from waves, usual cyclonic revolving water circulation in the Ensenada de Cazones, nutrient input from the Zapata swamp and deep water, and the abundance of the herbivore sea urchin Diadema antillarum. Triggered by these driving forces, the remaining factors apparently were less effect of waves and sediments, stabilization of live coral fragments, favorable benthic macro-algae indices, some retention of nutrient and plankton, increased coral heterotrophic feeding; better conditions for recruit settlement and viability, and for coral re-sheeting; faster coral growth and recuperation and better thermal conditions against coral bleaching.

This paper describes work performed as part of the U.K. Alvey sponsored Voice Operated Database Inquiry System (VODIS) project in the area of intelligent dialogue control. The principal aims of the work were to develop a habitable interface for the untrained user; to investigate the degree to which dialogue control can be used to compensate for deficiencies in recognition performance; and to examine the requirements on dialogue control for generating natural speech output. A data-driven methodology is described based on the use of frames in which dialogue topics are organized hierarchically. The concept of a dynamically adjustable scope is introduced to permit adaptation to recognizer performance and the use of historical and hierarchical contexts are described to facilitate the construction of contextually relevant output messages. © 1989.

本文报告了丝状真菌单宁酶发酵五倍子及有机溶剂中酶法合成没食子酸丙酯的研究。利用单宁和/或五倍子诱导丝状真菌产生单宁 酶的原理,借助二级发酵程序,对从天然源得到的75株菌进行了生物转化实验研究。选择出既能水解单宁或五倍子成没食子酸,又 能把没食子酸和丙醇合成没食子酸丙酯,而且生物催化活性都较高的1株菌,这株菌经初步鉴定为黑曲霉(Aspergillus niger No.17)。随后对它开展了产酶条件和参数优化实验,得出了最佳培养条件。立足于参数优化实验方案的基础上,经由液体培养发酵 制备单宁酶制剂,并把该酶通过化学手段共价结合到一种新型载体—聚乙烯醇和戊二醛反应生成的缩醛上,制备得到固定化单宁酶 。这种固定化生物催化剂在两种有机介质体系中都具有逆向催化合成没食子酸丙酯的能力。最后建立起来一条有效可行的微生物酶 法制备没食子酸的技术途径,没食子酸产率达到70%。对这种物质进行元素 分析:含C,49.45%;含H,3.63%。它的熔点为237℃~243 ℃,三种溶剂系统的TLC均只给出一个斑点。这些数据都与标准品一致。有机溶剂中酶法合成没食子酸丙酯的技术途径已经建立。 水溶性单宁酶在潜溶剂体系中也能催化上述酯化反应,反应混合物中的PG浓度为16.4mmol/L,制备薄层被用于分离反应混合物所含 的PG,这种产物被红外、质谱及三种溶剂系统的TLC等方法鉴定,确证为目标产物。在这一学位论文的实验研究过程中,还包括一 些生化分析方法的建立和应用,这些方法用于鉴定底物和产物及测定它们的浓度,其内容主要包括TLC定性/半定量分析、元素分析 、质谱、红外等手段的综合运用。本工作为开发我国特有的天然产物资源—五倍子的生物化工加工技术及非水相生物催化技术的开 发,提供了有用的基础数据资料,具有应用基础研究工作的重要性。In this thesis, the studies on the fermentation of Chinese gallotannin by filamentous fungi with tannase activity and enzymatic synthesis of propyl gallate(PG) in organic solvents were described through these biocatalysts. Based on the principles of induction enzyme, the tannase produced from filamentous fungi by adding tannic acid(TA) and/or Chinese gallotannin into media was investigated, and the screening experiments of bioconversion were done with 75 strains by means of a two-stage fermentation procedure. These strains were isolated with the enrichment culture technique from natural sources. Hence we selected one strain (Aspergillus niger No.17) that can not only catalyze the hydrolyses of TA and/or Chinese gallotannin into gallic acid(GA) in the liquid cultures, but also be used to synthesize PG from propanol and GA in the non-aqueous media. At the same time both of its biocatalytical activities were higher. This strain was calssified to be Aspergillus niger by the primary identification. Then optimum conditions for production of the tannase and its parameters were examined. In this way, one set of optimum culture conditions was selected. Making use of the optimum proposal, the tanase was prepared through a liquid fermentation procedure. The enzyme was convalently coupled to a new type of carrier which was made chemically from polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)and glutaraldehyde. The immobilized enzymes were able to synthesize PG reversely in two organic media. Finally, an effective enzymatic technique for production of GA was developed. The yield of GA products was up to 70%。Element analysis for this substance: calce: C, 49.42%; H, 3.56%; found: C, 49.45%, H, 3.63%. Its melting point was 237℃~ 243℃ and TLCs on three solvent systems gave only one spot respectively. These data were identical with theauthentic GA. The enzymatic synthesis of PG in organic solvents was extablished with reverse route of tannase catalytical hydrolysis. Aqueous enzyme perparation also catalyzed above esterification in a buffer system. The PG concentration in the reaction mixture was 16.4mmol/L. The reparative-scale TLC was used to isolate PG from the reaction mixture. This product separated was identified by IR, MS and TLC on three solvent systems. In this study of thesis, some biochemical analytical mehtods were developed and used to identify substrates and products, and to determinate their concentration. These methods, including TLC qualitative/half quantitative analysis, element analysis, MS, IR and so on, were useful, available and performable. This work provided basic data and information for developing the biochemical engineering and bio-processing of Chinese gallotannin-a special natural resource in China and the non-aqueous phase biocatalysis. Thus, this study possesses importance in the applied and basic research work.

There is extensive agreement that attention may play a role in spatial stimmlus coding (Lu & Proctor, 1995). Some authors investigated the effects of spatial attention on the spatial coding by using spatial cueing procedure and spatial Stroop task. The finding was that the stroop effects were modulated by spatial cueing. Three hypotheses including attentional shift account, referential coding account, and event integration account were used to explain the modulation of spatial cueing over the spatial Stroop effects. In these previous studies, on validly cued trials, cue and target not only appeared at the same location, but also in the same object, which resulted in both location and object cued. Consequently, the modulation of spatial attentional cueing over spatial Stroop effects was confounded with the role of object-based attention. In the third chapter of this dissertation, using a modification of double rectangles cueing procedure developed by Egly, Driver and Rafal (1994) and spatial Stroop task employed by Lupiáñez and Funes (2005), separate effects of spatial attention and object-based attention on the location code of visual stimuli were investigated. Across four experiments, the combined results showed that spatial Stroop effects were modulate by object-based attention, but not by location-based attention. This pattern of results could be well explained by event integration account, but not by attentional shift account and referential coding account. In the fourth chapter, on the basis of the prior chapter, whether the modulation of attentional cueing on location code occurred at the stage of perceptual identification or response choice was investigated. The findings were that object-based attention modulated spatial Stroop effects and did not modulate the Simon effects, whereas spatial attention did not modulate Stroop and Simon effects. This pattern of results partially replicated the outcome of the previous chapter. The previous studies generally argued that the conflicts of spatial Stroop task and Simon task respectively occurred at at the stage of perceptual identification and response choice. Therefore, it is likely to conclude that the modulation of attention over spatial Stroop effect was mediated by object-based attention, and this modulation occurred at the stage perceptual identification. Considering that the previous studies mostly investigated the effects of attention captured by abrupt onset on the spatial Stroop effects, few studies investigated the effects of attention captured by offset cue on the spatial Stroop effects. The aim of the fifth chapter was to investigate the role of attention induced by offset and abrupt onset cue in the spatial Stroop task. These results showed that attention elicited by offset cue or abrupt onset cue modulated the spatial Stroop effects, which reconciled with event integration account.
