Estudio transdiciplinar de la fosa EE1 de la Cova Colomera (Prepirineo de Lleida): implicaciones domesticas y paleoambientales en el Bronce Antiguo del Noreste de la Peninsula Iberica

El estudio transdisciplinar de la fosa EE1 de la Cova Colomera ha proporcionado un conjunto de datos que aportan importante información sobre las prácticas domésticas y económicas desarrolladas en ella, y sobre las características paleoambientales de esta zona del noreste peninsular en el tránsito III-II milenio cal. AC. Los resultados apuntan a que esta cueva fue ocupada por grupos reducidos, con una economía mixta agropecuaria, que recurrían también a actividades cinegéticas para completar su dieta. En sus cortas estancias en la Cova Colomera, crearon y amortizaron estructuras excavadas en el suelo de la cavidad, como la fosa EE1, bien para almacenar excedentes y después desechar basura, o bien para eliminar residuos de origen doméstico.

La traducció assistida per ordinador és una competència necessària per als futurs traductors. Els programes de traducció assistida més utilitzats en l’actualitat comparteixen la base teòrica però, a nivell pràctic, presenten característiques diferents. En aquest article, tractem les diferents opcions de programari utilitzades en el Grau en Traducció i Interpretació i en el Màster en Traducció Especialitzada de la Universitat de Vic. També mostrem dos programes de suport per a la didàctica de la traducció assistida.

Hints for a fast precessing relativistic radio jet in LS I + 61° 303

Here we discuss two consecutive MERLIN observations of the X-ray binary LS I +61° 303 . The first observation shows a double-sided jet extending up to about 200 AU on both sides of a central source. The jet shows a bent S-shaped structure similar to the one displayed by the well-known precessing jet of SS 433 . The precession suggested in the first MERLIN image becomes evident in the second one, showing a one-sided bent jet significantly rotated with respect to the jet of the day before. We conclude that the derived precession of the relativistic (beta=0.6) jet explains puzzling previous VLBI results. Moreover, the fact that the precession is fast could be the explanation of the never understood short term (days) variability of the associated gamma-ray source 2CG 135+01 / 3EG J0241+6103

Spectrophotometric determination of cefaclor in pharmaceutical preparations

A simple spectrophotometric method is proposed for the determination of cefaclor. The method involves alkaline hydrolysis of the drug in ammonia buffer solution at pH 10 to yield diketopiperazine-2,5-dione derivative and subsequent measurement at 340 nm. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 1.8 - 55 mg/mL. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of cefaclor in pharmaceutical formulations.

Samlingen med signum HB Ve4 Saml. Lapponica finns vid huvudbiblioteket och innehåller material som på något sätt berör Lappland. Stommen till specialsamlingen Lapponica utgörs av de över 300 publikationer tryckta före 1930 som vicehäradshövding Arvid Sourander donerade till biblioteket och som omfattar en stor samling 1800-talslitteratur och särtryck av vetenskapliga publikationer. Biblioteket följer upp utgivningen av lapponica fortlöpande och specialsamlingen Lapponica utökades till och med år 1999 med inköp liksom med publikationer som kom som friexemplar. Litteraturen vid huvudbiblioteket om Lappland till och med år 1999 söks i databasen Alma med sökfunktionen Signum och söktermen HB Ve4 Saml. Lapponica. En del litteratur tryckt före 1980 skall sökas manuellt i huvudbibliotekets systematiska kortkatalog, men retroaktiv inmatning i Alma av litteratur tryckt mellan 1830 och 1979 pågår. Från och med år 2000 ingår litteraturen vid huvudbiblioteket i en numerus currens-samling. Sökning i Alma med sökfunktionen Ämnesord och söktermen Lappland ger litteratur vid hela akademibiblioteket. 2000-04 286

Farmacología y toxicología en I+D+i: adquisición de competencias a través de un ejemplo de desarrollo de un fármaco

The implementation of the subject Pharmacology and Toxicology in R+D+i in the Pharmacy Degree, has led to the launch of a new methodological approach and teaching performance with the aim of developing the generic skills of the University of Barcelona (e.g., self-learning, team-working). An additional objective was students' integration of knowledge from different subjects in the degree which form the basis of the preclinical and clinical development of a drug. For this purpose, the teaching strategy used in the development of the subject was based on: 1) re-developing the content that students had been taught previously or were being taught in the same semester as a part of other subjects, and framing them in the environment of the pharmaceutical industry, 2) introducing new and previously unseen contents to do with drug development and toxicology, 3) developing a battery of activities to be undertaken by teams of students relating to the R+D+i of a particular drug. During the development of these activities, students have to acquire generic skills in addition to the subject-specific skills. The results obtained from the student survey give us grounds for satisfaction and allow us to consider that we have reached the goal of improving students' learning in Pharmacology and Toxicology applied to drug development in the pharmaceutical world today.
