Implementação da metodologia TPM em uma indústria do setor de higiene pessoal, saúde e beleza

This work presents a project of Action Search in a consumption industry of the sector of personal care, health and beauty. Following the implementation steps of Autonomous Maintenance Pillar of TPM methodology, stands for Total Productive Maintenance, this work aims to ensure the advancement of some machines in a production line of the company to the next steps of the methodology implementation, demonstrating the results achieved by the TPM. In the company in question, the TPM has been implemented in the past but lost strength over the years and some of its concepts were abandoned, producing then a drop in the equipments efficiency, increased wastes and breaks in the processes, as well as loss in product quality. Then, the need arose to restart the implementation process from the beginning, to strictly follow all the steps of the methodology, ensuring increased efficiency of equipment and processes. Through training and a changing in the company culture, it was possible a joint effort between Operation and Maintenance in order to enhance the knowledge of the operators on their machines. Initially, it was developed a general cleanliness program of equipments so that it could be possible to find the anomalies in the process. Subsequently, operators and maintainers were trained to detect anomalies, enabling equipments to work under their basic conditions of operation and subsequently building provisional standards of equipment cleaning, lubrication and inspection. Through the improvement presented by some indicators such as OEE, wastes, bankruptcies and unavailability, it was proved the importance and the positive effects of TPM implementation in manufacturing

Desenvolvimento e validação de métodos analíticos para a determinação de difloxacino em comprimidos revestidos

O difloxacino - DIFX - é um antimicrobiano de amplo espectro de ação pertence à 3ª geração das quinolonas, e foi especialmente desenvolvido para o uso veterinário aprovado em vários países. Seu uso é indicado para infecções cutâneas, superficiais ou profundas, infecções genitourinárias, respiratórias e digestivas, causadas por diversos patógenos como Staphylococus sp, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas spp., Esnterobacter spp., Mycoplasma spp., Salmonella, Klebsiella, Streptococus spp. e outras cepas suscetíveis. Na literatura foi possível encontrar alguns estudos envolvendo difloxacino em matéria prima e matrizes biológicas, entretanto para a forma farmacêutica comprimidos revestidos nada foi encontrado. Neste trabalho foram desenvolvidas metodologias analíticas para determinação e quantificação de difloxacino comprimidos revestidos por espectrofotometria na região UV e Cromatografia Líquida de Alta Eficiência (CLAE). No método de espectrofotometria na região UV a curva analítica mostrou-se linear entre 3,0 e 8,0 μg/mL (r = 0,9999), com exatidão e precisão satisfatórias, os coeficientes de variação intradia e interdia foram 1,92 e 1,87 respectivamente. Os limites de detecção (LOD) e quantificação (LOQ) apresentaram valores de 0,32 e 0,11 μg/mL, respectivamente. A porcentagem de difloxacino encontrada nas amostras foi de 105,05 %. Para o método por CLAE, a curva analítica mostrou-se linear no intervalo de 1,0 e 6,0 μg/mL (r=0,9997), a exatidão da metodologia proposta foi calculada pelo método de adição de padrão apresentando uma média de 100,06%. Os valores de precisão foram satisfatórios, com coeficientes de variação intradia e interdia de 1,35 e 1,64 %, respectivamente. O limite de detecção apresentou valor de 0,07 μg/mL e quantificação de 0,24 μg/mL. O doseamento da amostra de Dicural® comprimidos revestidos foi encontrado 94,70% de difloxacino

Based on a heterogeneous concept of writing, this paper aims at analyzing ‘breaks’ in utterances of a virtual chat for writers between 8 and 12 years of age. The hypothesis is that the segmentation of an utterance in different lines in a short period of time characterizes the writing on the internet as nonconventional and relates it to the prosody and rhythm of the language not restricted to the phonic or graphic dimension of the verbal language.

Planejamento e controle da produção: reestruturação no layout de apertadeiras eletrônicas em uma linha de produção do ramo de autopeças

In industrial plants, there is a department responsible for planning the use of productive resources to find the best possible way to set out plans in strategic, tactical and operational levels. This department is known as PCP or PPCP, which means Planning and Production Control and Planning, Programming and Production Control, respectively. This work presents the use of some of the tools from this department, in particular the Aggregate Production Planning, to propose a new layout of electronic nutrunners for an auto parts industry output line. Through some process indicators analyzes, was identified some productivity losses. The higher loss rate occurred by the electronic nutrunners breaking, and so this work was focused in these devices. Some premises were adopted for the use of electronic nut runners, setting an ideal cycle time for the operation of the production line and making calculations to define the minimum amount of electronic nutrunners to find the production demand without damaging the equipment. With this work we observed that a relevant factor for the constant breaks of electronic nutrunners is because these are working with overload, in other words, the amount of installed equipment is not enough to supply the demand without failures

Through analysis of body composition and physical fitness, you can diagnose the possible individuals at risk of developing diseases, and fractures caused by falls in the elderly. The DXA tests were used (densitometry by dual beam X-ray) to assess body composition and regional, 1 RM test to evaluate the maximum strength and girth measurements, diameters and skin folds in order to analyze the balance of power muscle with both body composition as regional. The results showed that the variance in bone mass between older content related to the change in the maximum muscular strength of the upper and lower limbs, but the force values are not related to increased muscle mass. The development of muscle strength fulfills a dual function in aging which is to maintain or reduce the rate of loss of lean body mass, and also so the body bone health

Herbst esplinte metálico fundido: novo modelo de confecção com Duralay

A má oclusão de Classe II é originária de vários fatores etiológicos e uma das características mais comum desta má oclusão é a retrusão mandibular3, por esse motivo, os aparelhos de avanço mandibular são eleitos para o tratamento e correção desta má oclusão. Um destes aparelhos é o Herbst, que apresenta várias formas de ancoragens na sua confecção10. Tradicionalmente, as bandas eram o sistema de ancoragem mais usado, no entanto, pela alta frequência de quebras as mesmas foram substituídas por esplinte metálico12. Esse aparelho quando confeccionado de cromo cobalto pelo método da prótese parcial removível, apresenta como desvantagens a quantidade de passos laboratoriais e a possível contração do metal, podendo ocasionar a má adaptação da estrutura metálica à boca do paciente. Dessa forma, este artigo apresenta um novo método de confecção do aparelho de Herbst esplinte metálico fundido com uso da Duralay e liga níquel cromo. Esse método diminui os passos laboratoriais, proporciona maior resistência à tração e minimiza a contração da estrutura metálica, pois a resina química Duralay proporciona menor expansão do que a cera2.

Epitheliotropic cutaneous T-cell lymphoma associated with melanoma in a dog: case report

Several types of tumors affect dogs' skin. Simultaneously occurring neoplasms with different histological patterns might be rarely present in the same animal. This paper describes the occurrence of epitheliotropic cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and melanoma in a dog. The animal had nodular lesions in the abdominal region and serpiginous plaques on the dorsal region of the trunk. Cytology evidenced malignant fusiform cells from the abdominal lesions as well as few round cells from the dorsal. The histopathological examination of the abdominal lesions showed dermis with polygonal to spindle-shaped neoplastic cells. The lesion of the dorsal region evidenced neoplastic round cells with generally distinct cell borders and a moderate amount of eosinophilic cytoplasm. Abdominal lesions were positive for Melan A. Dorsal and forelimb lesions were positive for CD3. This study reports the occurrence of epitheliotropic cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and malignant melanoma in a crossbred Boxer dog and discusses the importance of performing immunohistochemical profile to confirm the phenotype of the tumor.

Impaired protamination and sperm DNA damage in a Nellore bull with high percentages of morphological sperm defects in comparison to normospermic bulls

The routine semen evaluation assessing sperm concentration, motility and morphology, does not identify subtle defects in sperm chromatin architecture. Bulls appear to have stable chromatin, with low levels of DNA fragmentation. However, the nature of fragmentation and its impact on fertility remain unclear and there are no detailed reports characterizing the DNA organization and damage in this species. The intensive genetic selection, the use of artificial insemination and in vitro embryo production associated to the cryopreservation process can contribute to the chromatin damage and highlights the importance of sperm DNA integrity for the success of these technologies. Frozen-thawed semen samples from three ejaculates from a Nellore bull showed high levels of morphological sperm abnormalities (55.8±5.1%), and were selected for complementary tests. Damage of acrosomal (76.9±8.9%) and plasma membranes (75.7±9.3%) as well as sperm DNA strand breaks (13.8±9.5%) and protamination deficiency (3.7±0.6%) were significantly higher compared to the values measured in the semen of five Nellore bulls with normospermia (24.3±3.3%; 24.5±6.1%; 0.6±0.5%; 0.4±0.6% for acrosome, plasma membrane, DNA breaks and protamine deficiency, respectively) (P<0.05). Motility and percentage of spermatozoa with low mitochondrial potential showed no differences between groups. This study shows how routine semen analyses (in this case morphology) may point to the length and complexity of sperm cell damage emphasizing the importance of sperm function testing.
