Letramento e Oralidade: Notas sobre Pontuação em um Bate-papo Virtual Infantil

Based on a heterogeneous concept of writing, this paper aims at analyzing ‘breaks’ in utterances of a virtual chat for writers between 8 and 12 years of age. The hypothesis is that the segmentation of an utterance in different lines in a short period of time characterizes the writing on the internet as nonconventional and relates it to the prosody and rhythm of the language not restricted to the phonic or graphic dimension of the verbal language.

Com base em uma concepção heterogênea de escrita, este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as “quebras de linhas” em enunciados de bate-papo virtual destinado a escreventes entre 8 e 12 anos de idade. A hipótese é de que a segmentação de um enunciado em linhas diferentes, em um curto espaço de tempo, caracteriza a escrita na internet de maneira não convencional e a relaciona com a prosódia e o ritmo da língua, irrestritos à dimensão fônica ou gráfica da linguagem verbal.
