El concepto de "aporía", del griego "aporia", que significa dificultad, perplejidad, es utilizado por Josep Acebillo para referirse a lo que él llama "una dificultad lógica insoluble que resulta de la mala utilización de conceptos teóricos.? (2007:86) Además, el autor nos advierte de sus posibles efectos, ya que vivimos una auténtica eclosión de aporías: ?Una de las consecuencias de este mal uso es la aparición de posiciones disciplinarias que pueden ocasionar que la arquitectura vaya a la deriva. "(2007: 86). A este respecto, hay muchas intervenciones en el campo de la arquitectura y el urbanismo que pueden causar perplejidad en el espectador por su tendencia a ignorar la verdad y a proponer una confusión entre realidad y deseo. Una de ellas es el uso de ?disfraces? para enmascarar lo que hay debajo. Es también lo que le sucede a menudo a muchos urbanistas que consideran el paisaje como una simplificación de la complejidad territorial e intentan reducir un problema serio e interdisciplinario a un mero problema de revestimiento, de fachada. El objetivo de este artículo es explicar cómo la arquitectura y el urbanismo utilizan diferentes tipos de disfraces, distinguir entre los distintos tipos de ocultamiento y reflexionar sobre cuáles son las principales razones de su uso. Además, se llamará la atención sobre el hecho de que algunas de las categorías descritas llevan consigo un despilfarro económico que debe controlarse en el interés de todos en una época en la que palabras como sostenibilidad y ahorro suponen un deber moral.

This perspective article presents an overview of the Open Access movement in Argentina, from a global and regional (Latin American) context. The article describes the evolution and current state of initiatives by examining two principal approaches to Open Access in Argentina: golden and green roads. The article will then turn its attention to: the support that Open Access receives from governmental sources; collaboration with international projects; and the perspective of Argentine authors regarding Open Access and self-archiving. It concludes with a reflection on the outlook, the main barriers and opportunities for Open Access in Argentina

Online education is a new teaching and learning medium with few current guidelines for faculty, administrators or students. Its rapid growth over the last decade has challenged academic institutions to keep up with the demand, while also providing a quality education. Our understanding of the factors that determine quality and effective online learning experiences that lead to student learning outcomes is still evolving. There is a lack of consensus on the effectiveness of online versus face-to-face education in the current research. The U.S. Department of Education conducted a meta-analysis in 2009 and concluded that student-learning outcomes in online courses were equal to and, often times, better than face-to-face traditional courses. Subsequent research has found contradictory findings, and further inquiry is necessary. The purpose of this embedded mixed methods design research study is to further our understanding of the factors that create quality and successful educational outcomes in an online course. To achieve this, the first phase of this study measured and compared learning outcomes in an online and in class graduate-level legal administration course. The second phase of the study entailed interviews with those students in both the online and face-to-face sections to understand their perspectives on the factors contributing to learning outcomes. Six themes emerged from the qualitative findings: convenience, higher order thinking, discussions, professor engagement, professor and student interaction, and face-to-face interaction. Findings from this study indicate the factors students perceive as contributing to learning outcomes in an online course are consistent among all students and are supported in the existing literature. Higher order thinking, however, emerged as a stronger theme than indicated in the current research, and the face-to-face nature of the traditional classroom may be more an issue of familiarity than a factor contributing to learning outcomes. As education continues to reach new heights and developments in technology advance, the factors found to contribute to student learning outcomes will be refined and enhanced. These developments will continue to transform the ways in which we deliver and receive knowledge in both traditional and online classrooms. While there is a growing body of research on online education, the field’s evolution has unsettled earlier findings and posed new areas to investigate.

Este año culmina el proceso de implantación del grado bajo las pautas marcadas por la Convergencia Europea. El modelo europeo se asienta en dos premisas: competencias y aprendizajes. A su vez, durante estos cuatro años el panorama mediático ha ido cambiando. La consolidación de los medios online influye en las estrategias publicitarias y replantea los métodos de investigación y los procesos de trabajo en busca de una mayor optimización de los recursos, lo que pudiera afectar a los contenidos de las asignaturas relacionadas con la materia Investigación y Planificación publicitaria. Se forma, así, la red de innovación docente “Investigación y Planificación Publicitaria. Análisis de las Competencias y de los Aprendizajes” para reflexionar en torno a las competencias relacionadas con esta materia, “Investigación y Planificación”. La finalidad de la red es la revisión de los contenidos de las asignaturas próximas a la Investigación y Planificación publicitaria teniendo en cuenta su necesaria aportación a las competencias específicas. Entre otros beneficios, la revisión conjunta de los contenidos de las asignaturas contribuyó a detectar los vacíos de información.

The primary objective of DSDP Leg 94 was to obtain continuous paleoclimatic records along a roughly north-south transect in the North Atlantic. The magnetostratigraphy of 21 holes at 6 sites cored with the hydraulic piston corer and extended-core-barrel corer is presented here and establishes an independent chronology for these sediments. Nearly complete records were obtained for the last 2.5 m.y.; in addition, deeper drilling at three sites to satisfy tectonic and paleoceanographic objectives produced older sections suitable for magnetostratigraphic study, allowing first-order correlations of the polarity sequences with calcareous and siliceous micro fossil events. The sections with high sediment accumulation rates yielded very detailed records of polarity history and allowed three short normal-polarity zones within the Matuyama Chronozone to be detected, in addition to the Jaramillo and Olduvai subchronozones. A short reversed-polarity zone also occurs, within the upper intervals of the Gauss Chronozone. These short zones are present in multiple holes, ruling out the possibility that they might be of local origin. Correlation of these short zones with radiometrically dated polarity zones in igneous rocks strongly supports the interpretation of these polarity zones as records of true geomagnetic polarity chrons.

Based on materials on geomorphology, hydrology, lithology, and sedimentation dynamics obtained during cruises of the P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology in the Barents Sea, the author prepared a number of charts on content of the main particle size facies in shelf surface sediments, as well as a chart of lithologic types of sediments in the Barents Sea. Factors of sedimentation control and basic features of distribution of sedimentary material over its bottom area are taken into consideration.
