According to Sérgio Buarque de Holanda, there is a “thinking addiction" in Brazil that disfigures reviews and creates disadvantages for a better understanding of the real changing of conditions in society. It is in Raízes do Brasil that this "reasoning addiction" is best defined as an "Invincible disenchantment from the view of our real conditions". This definition is supported by the bovarism theory - pouvoir qu`a l`homme de se concevoir autre qu’il n’est - theory formulated by Jules de Gaultier (1858-1942), French homme de lettres and who promoted Nietzsche in France - for this title, he is self intended as a philosopher, which extends the characterization of the individual drama of Flaubertian's character of Madame Bovary for the characterization of nations. Sérgio Buarque de Holanda is not the only author who uses this notion, before him, it was also in Paulo Prado and Lima Barreto and much after him in Celso Furtado and Paulo Eduardo Arantes, to keep with the best known authors. This article aims to show how bovarism is born, what it is meant in the French context of origin and how it acclimatized in Brazilian's intellectual experience, theoretically basing important diagnostics of our society. This is to conduct genetic mapping of a concept which is still strong in the horizon of the decisive clash between national projects that deal with Brazil's peripheral condition.

A TAS (Técnica do Arco Segmentado) representa uma alternativa à mecânica de deslizamento, muitas vezes dificultada pela incerteza da quantidade de força de atrito envolvida em cada sistema de forças utilizado. Nesse contexto, sabe-se que poucos cursos de Ortodontia no Brasil têm ensinado efetivamente a filosofia e o modo de trabalhar com a TAS. Portanto, este trabalho procura elucidar a forma de raciocínio das relaçÕes entre força e momento manipuladas na TAS, bem como mostrar a forma de confecção e utilização de mola "T" do grupo B, onde objetiva-se a movimentação recíproca dos segmentos posterior e anterior e, por fim, apresentar um caso clínico tratado com esse tipo de mecânica.

The use of computers in childhood education makes it possible for them to acquire knowledge in a fun way through games. This paper describes the experience of implementing the course “Computers for Children”, which is part of a University Extension Program at the School of Dentistry at UNESP - Araraquara. This course is offered to children aged 5-7 years old and it aims, not only, to offer children, via computer, a direct contact with new teaching technologies, but also, to help them develop both their motor and logical thinking abilities through educational games. The children that participated in this course are from the Children’s Center “Casinha de Abelha” at the UNESP -Araraquara and also from the Municipal Recreation and Educational Centers also in Araraquara, SP, Brazil. The software resources used in this course to teach computer skills are the educational games “Coelho Sabido Maternal”, “A Estrela Cintilante” and “Festa dos Dentinhos”. The children’s learning and the level of difficulty in using the computer as a tool were evaluated. It was possible to conclude that the course has been contributing to the digital inclusion of children aged 5-7 years old, in addition to training their visual and audio perception, their motor coordination and memorization, hence developing skills that are essential to the children’s literacy process.

The framework of this study was to comprehend the specific conditions surrounding the incorporation and political-economical consolidation of the state of Mato Grosso Sul to the national scenario, during the cyclic evolution of the capitalistic system as well as the role of Campo Grande in this process. The origin and evolution of Campo Grande were analyzed in the context of possible relations between urbanization, regional development and the integration of the state in the national scope. In this approach, several theoretical compatible formulations were considered as to systemic view of reality, from the complex and dynamic point of view. This implies a multi scale reasoning, associating spatial dimension to the historical one, in a theoretical- methodological effort of comprehend the logic between the general and the specific. It was possible to verity peculiarities attributed to Mato Grosso do Sul in the general laws of the capitalistic system, and instances capable of explaning the local effects of the intervention of industrial economy in the dynamic of the process analysed since colonial times, as well as the role of Campo Grande in this process, especially in relation to the economical integration of the state territory to the rest of the nation.

It is a fact that childhood is a period of play and it is through them that the child meets their interests, express their way to organize, disorganize, build, think, making new discoveries. Therefore, the playful stands as one of the most important and effective in children's learning process forms, as it enables the development of imagination, feelings and fantasies, helping the child progress in their motor, psychomotor, cognitive, and physical skills emotional. This gives her the exercise of attention and memory to play activities adults engage, thus expanding their knowledge about the world. The teacher's role in this process is essential, where it can bring to everyday life of the child in various situations themes, turning the simple play on continuous learning and not just using the play as a complementary activity to the child because they provide pleasure and relaxation which do interact with the new learning and the group operates. The psychology emphasizes that play is essential to the balanced development of the psychosocial human being, because when in childhood, the relationship with the toy and gaming in general develops affectivity, creativity, and reasoning ability. Playing, the child increases their independence by building their knowledge. The aim of this work is to make a theoretical study based on a literature search, aiming to understand the play within the child development process, where it is recognized as very important in a child's learning starting from the theoretical conceptions of thinkers such as Piaget, Vygotsky, Wallon among others. With this, it can also be possible to recover the importance of the play that is being extracted from the infant universe due to new reasons to experience the modern world brings, as the excess number of activities assigned to the child, electronic games, etc. Finally, a playful approach to provide a reflection for parents and educators, bringing children's learning...

O presente trabalho realiza um estudo referente à Geometria Tridimensional, no que tange a sua metodologia apresentada nos livros didáticos de Matemática. Esse instrumento tem passado por um processo de avaliação mais rigoroso nas últimas décadas pelos órgãos governamentais para a promoção do livro com qualidade o que é importante, porém uma análise crítica de seus conteúdos é essencial para que esse instrumento torne-se adequado a cada realidade e um aliado no planejamento do educador no processo de ensino e aprendizagem da Geometria. Essa disciplina é considerada por vários autores e especialista da educação como um conhecimento muito pertinente para a formação integral do aluno, ao proporcionar o desenvolvimento do raciocínio visual, espacial e lógico, abrangendo também a formação cultural e profissional. Nesse sentido, considerando a importância da escolha de um livro adequado e coerente para a qualidade desse ensino, objetivouse com esse estudo realizar uma análise e reflexão sobre os conteúdos da Geometria Tridimensional apresentada em dois livros didáticos de matemática do 5º ano do ensino fundamental submetidos aos critérios eliminatórios do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático - PNLD (2013) e aprovado pelo Ministério da Educação. Mediante levantamento bibliográfico da literatura pertinente e análise de documentos oficiais foi possível verificar que os mesmos apresentaram progressos em alguns aspectos atendendo de forma parcial as propostas atuais para esse ensino demonstrando que ainda precisam evoluir

Understanding consciousness is one of the most fascinating challenges of our time. From ancient civilizations to modern philosophers, questions have been asked on how one is conscious of his/her own existence and about the world that surrounds him/her. Although there is no precise definition for consciousness, there is an agreement that it is strongly related to human cognitive processes such as: thinking, reasoning, emotions, wishes. One of the key processes to the arising of the consciousness is the attention, a process capable of promoting a selection of a few stimuli from a huge amount of information that reaches us constantly. Machine consciousness is the field of the artificial intelligence that investigate the possibility of the production of conscious processes in artificial devices. This work presents a review about the theme of consciousness - in both natural and artificial aspects -, discussing this theme from the philosophical and computational perspectives, and investigates the feasibility of the adoption of an attentional schema as the base to the cognitive processing. A formal computational model is proposed for conscious agents that integrates: short and long term memories, reasoning, planning, emotion, decision making, learning, motivation and volition. Computer experiments in a mobile robotics domain under USARSim simulation environment, proposed by RoboCup, suggest that the agent can be able to use these elements to acquire experiences based on environment stimuli. The adoption of the cognitive architecture over the attentional model has potential to allow the emergence of behaviours usually associated to the consciousness in the simulated mobile robots. Further implementation under this model could potentially allow the agent to express sentience, selfawareness, self-consciousness, autonoetic consciousness, mineness and perspectivalness. Based in aesthetic relationship between concepts of content and form intends to establish an relationship of analogy between ornaments and crystals. With the objective of building an theoretical investigation of relating the dynamics that happens in the crystals´ atoms to the symmetrical intervals of the ornamental patterns, it tries to draw a reasoning line that is going from the ‘Idea’ of Plato and ‘poiésis’ of Aristotle, until Hegel's philosophical enlargement, that admits the aesthetics as a science of the art integrated in a metaphysical process. Inherent to this question intends, in interrelation terms between aesthetics and metaphysics, content as being intelligent beginning, energy, and form as primitive element, matter, in order to evidence the possibility to calculate the same present symmetries in the ornamental arts like in the nature.

Apresentamos neste trabalho experiências obtidas na aplicação de um dos jogos desenvolvidos como parte do projeto de Extensão “Ensinado Matemática através de Jogos, Modelos Geométricos e Informática”, o qual tem como objetivo desenvolver entre os alunos do ensino fundamental e médio o estímulo pelo interesse em Matemática e o aprimoramento de seus conhecimentos nesta área, o que é propiciado através do contato com problemas desafiantes e da interação com outros colegas e docentes, despertando o gosto e interesse pela investigação matemática, através dos jogos, modelos geométricos e softwares. O “Ensinando Matemática através de jogos, modelos geométricos e informática” conta com a colaboração de 3 docentes do departamento de Matemática da UNESP-Bauru e envolve a cidade de Bauru com várias escolas públicas de ensino médio, participando as três séries deste nível. Um dos objetivos dos departamentos de Matemática das universidades brasileiras é estimular o interesse dos graduandos ingressantes pelo raciocínio lógico. Outro ângulo é buscar meios de incentivo para alunos e professores, na tentativa de colaborar para a melhoria do quadro brasileiro que se coloca. Com este projeto estamos estimulando o gosto pela Matemática, propiciando uma maior interação professor / aluno, e promovendo uma aproximação comunidade / universidade, fazendo com que o aluno tenha uma nova visão da Matemática através dos jogos. Assim, de forma lúdica, estamos fazendo com que este aluno pense nos conceitos aprendidos na sala de aula, questione a lógica usada para fazer o pensamento, fazendo com que este estudante crie conexões entre as várias áreas da matemática. Dentre os jogos aplicados, o “fecha a caixa” tem nos proporcionado atingir este objetivo, como apresentamos no decorrer do nosso texto.
