Stylised worlds: Colour Separation Overlay in BBC television plays of the 1970s

This essay aims to understand and interrogate the use of Colour Separation Overlay (CSO) as a mode of experimental production and aesthetic innovation in television drama in the 1970s. It sets out to do this by describing, accounting for and evaluating CSO as a production technique, considering the role of key production personnel, and analysing four specific BBC productions. Deploying methodologies of archival research, practitioner interview, and close textual analysis, the essay also delivers a significant reassessment of the role of the producer and designer in the conceptualisation and realisation of small-screen dramatic fiction.

Texto e contexto das leis orgânicas dos ensinos industrial, comercial e agrícola: 1942-1946

O trabalho destina-se a caracterizar e a delinear o conteúdo expresso no texto das Leis Orgânicas dos Ensinos Industrial, Comercial e Agricola, respectivamente, Decreto-lei n9 4.073 de 30 de janeiro de 1942, Decreto-lei n9 6.141 de 28 de dezembro de 1943 e Decreto-lei n9 9.613 de 20 de agosto de 1946 e a sua vinculação com o contexto politico-socio-econômico-administrativo-educacional. O estudo e esquematizado em quatro capitulos. Os dois pr1me1ros capitulos seguem a linha de investigaçao historica, sendo focalizadas as evoluções do ensino profi~ sional brasileiro e dos variados aspectos do contexto para posicionar o texto das Leis Orgânicas dos Ensinos Industrial, Comercial e Agricola. Os dois últimos capitulas tem como escopo aflorar a ideologia do texto dessas leis orgânicas, sendo que o terceiro capitulo apresenta a anilise de discurso do texto em evid~ncia, enquanto que o quarto capitulo analisa e interpreta as premissas ideologicas entre o texto das leis organicas e o contexto. Os quatro capItulas visam aos fatos e as ideias formuladas e sedimenta das pelo contexto, através do texto das Leis Orgânicas dos Ensinos Industrial, Comercial e Agricola. A pesquisa evidencia que o texto das Leis Orginicas dos Ensinos Industrial, Comercial e Agricola empreende perfeitamente as funções ideologicas elaboradas pelo gover no para atender i realidade do Estado Novo atraves da sedi mentação da ordem vigente e dos mecanismos de conservaçao e de reprodução sociais, apesar de ser constatada eial alienação is necessidades da efetivação do a parprocesso de industrialização no Pais e da construção de um modelo de sistema educacional adequado ao sistema geral de produçao e de acordo com o progresso social exigido pelo contex to.

O controle no Departamento de Polícia Federal

O objetivo desse trabalho foi estudar as atividades de controle administrativo às quais o Departamento de Polícia Federal está submetido e identificar reflexos dessas atividades na gestão do órgão. As atividades de controle analisadas foram: os Controles Internos do próprio órgão, o Controle Interno exercido pela Controladoria Geral da União e o Controle Externo exercido pelo Tribunal de Contas da União. Os exercícios de 2010, 2011 e 2012 foram utilizados para o estudo. Para os Controles Internos, foram consolidados os questionários contidos nos Relatórios de Gestão de cada uma das Superintendências Regionais de Polícia Federal e no Relatório de Gestão das unidades centrais, perfazendo 84 formulários, sendo 28 por ano. Para o estudo do Controle Interno exercido pela CGU, foi analisado o Relatório de Auditoria Anual de Contas de cada um dos três exercícios, e para o Controle Externo exercido pelo TCU, foram examinados os 109 acórdãos publicados durante os três anos. Na análise dos dados, a estatística descritiva subsidiou a comparação anual, e o conteúdo dos documentos foi submetido a uma análise textual. As avaliações referentes aos Controles Internos foram ainda submetidas a uma análise de percepção compartilhada.

Dificuldades de aprendizagem em estequiometria: uma proposta de ensino apoiada na modelagem

In order to learn/teach chemistry some themes are relevant, like the stoichiometry, which consists in the study of the weight ratios in the combination of elements and compounds between themselves. This is an underlying subject in the understanding/representation/forethought of chemical reactions. Considering these aspects, our study presents a modeling-based proposal to develop the content of stoichiometry with prospective chemistry teachers. With this aim, we have made a review of literature, which we considered when tried to identify the learning difficulties using both quizzes and pedagogical tests, and then, from those difficulties we could propose a teaching unit for this concept and, consequently the evaluation of our proposal. The participants were chemistry undergraduates at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) from assorted levels. As a methodological framework, we rely on the discursive textual analysis to characterize the speech of participants. As main results we observed ideas of appearance or disappearance of matter during chemical transformations, disregard of stoichiometric proportions when using drawings to represent the microscopic level of a reaction and confusion between the magnitude amount of matter and other magnitudes such as mass and volume. The final product is a sequence of instruction, based on the modeling previous research literature , with the goal of improving students ability to articulate the macroscopic and submicroscopic levels of representation of the matter

A ‘formação do professor’ e seus sentidos em 23 Anos do Bolema: 1985-2007

We present results of research aiming to identify and analyze the meanings of teacher education in papers published over 23 years of Bolema, from 1985 to 2007. Specifically, we analyzed what the authors of the articles understood as teacher education and how they approached it in their projects, research, and interventions. We found that teacher education is characterized: by means of the definition of teacher education, its objectives and functions; from what is expected of the teacher at the end of the education process; from the disciplinary and/or pedagogical contents proposed in courses; from the practical activities proposed; through suggestions of courses and their curricular structures; from reflections on its limitations and possibilities.

Análise Documental de obras de ficção: aspectos metodológicos de aplicabilidade

The methodological aspects of the content analysis of fiction with information retrieval purposes are discussed with a focus on the study of textual analysis for the identification of the themes treated in stories. It is assumed that the methodological procedures used for indexing scientific works do not produce satisfactory results when applied to narrative fiction documents. The aim of this paper is to present the gerative sense course as a methodology to extract themes from works of fiction, and to study its application to the indexing of tales by indexers. The methodology used is the construction of gerative sense course, identifying both the narrative level structures (manipulation, competence, performance and punishment) and the discourse level (themes and figures) in order to obtain the theme of the document. The results demonstrated the feasibility of the application of the gerative sense course to the documentary content analysis of works of fiction, in the sense that it provided a clear annotations of the theme of the document that was being indexed by the cataloguers. Several questions related to this procedure require further clarification and also a preliminary study with professionals in the form of a pilot project.

Os sentidos sobre o professor e sua formação em 15 anos de Zetetiké: 1993 - 2007

This research presents a study on mathematics teacher education, examining the bibliographic production in 15 years of the journal Zetetiké (1993-2007), totalizing 140 papers. From these, 49 were classified as ‘teacher formation’, thus constituting the corpus of the investigation. The research focused on three units of recording and analysis: (i) problems of research; (ii) the meanings of ‘being a teacher’ and their ‘duties’; and (iii) the meanings of ‘teacher’s education’. For the processes of categorization we use Textual Analysis, which allowed us to observe some trends. Regarding the problems of research we found that the research actions involve a range from: to report, disclose, describe, identify up to study, discuss, understand, evaluate. With reference to ‘being teacher’ and its ‘duties’ in the whole period of this study it were pointed problems related to the mathematical content and to the pedagogical project of the school unit, with 30 papers giving prescriptions for the teachers actions in its educational context. With regard to the meanings on teacher education, the most frequent references concern: the functions of teacher formation; what is expected of the teacher during and after the education processes; and the emphasis on the importance of initial formation for mathematics teacher’s education.

Mídia-educação no ensino médio: uma experiência com alunos e professores

This paper describes the development of educational materials on media education as a result of workshops held for students and teachers of high school in Midialab – Media Education Laboratory of Universidade Sagrado Coração. The objectives of this exploratory research were to investigate how teachers and students learn about media, looking for similarities and differences in the performance of the two groups in order to make it possible to conclude what methodology frameworks had a best result for promoting the media literacy of each group, taking on account the characteristics of public school and the paradigms of international media literacy. The methodology involved the application of activities focusing on six strategies: textual analysis, contextual analysis, content analysis, case study, translation, simulation and production. The results suggested that such activities are a productive way to develop critical reading skill and to reduce the differences between teachers and students’ repertoire. They also presented good results in the development of language usage by them and promoted collaborative learning, in a social approach.
