With many important developments over the last century, nowadays orthopedic bone plate now excels over other types of internal fixators in bone fracture fixation. The developments involve the design, material and implementation techniques of the plates. This paper aims to review the evolution in implementation technique and biomaterial of the orthopedic bone plates. Plates were initially used to fix the underlying bones firmly. Accordingly, Compression plate (CP), Dynamic compression plate (DCP), Limited contact dynamic compression plate (LC-DCP) and Point contact fixator (PC-Fix) were developed. Later, the implementation approach was changed to locking, and the Less Invasive Stabilization System (LISS) plate was introduced as a result. Finally, a combination of both of these approaches has been used by introducing the Locking Compression Plate (LCP). Currently, precontoured LCPs are mainly used for bone fracture fixation. In parallel with structure and implementation techniques, numerous advances have occurred in biomaterials of the plates. Titanium and stainless steel alloys are now the most common biomaterials in production of orthopedic bone plates. However, regarding the biocompatibility, bioactivity and biodegradability characteristics of Mg alloys, Ta alloys, SMAs, carbon fiber composites and bioceramics, these materials are considered as potentially suitable for plates. However, due to poor mechanical properties, they have very limited applications. Therefore, further studies are required in future to solve these problems and make them feasible for heavy-duty bone plates.

They can be used to introduce clinical guidelines and systematic audits of clinical practice, and to ensure that the most appropriate management occurs at the most appropriate time and that it is provided by the most appropriate health professional. The findings of the recent independent review of the UK Liverpool Care Pathway (LCP)1, following substantial concerns raised by members of the public and health professionals found that the implementation of the LCP is often associated with poor care1. The Neuberger Report highlighted the complexity of various ethical, safety, clinical practice and negligence issues associated with pathway usage and how, despite technological advances, diagnosing dying continues to be challenging. The UK Government’s decision to phase out the LCP as policy following these findings, has generated considerable debate both within and beyond the UK. However, another key issue raised by the Neuberger’s report is the issue of the palliative care community’s perceived willingness to readily adopt new clinical practices in the absence of evidence. It is this translational issue that this editorial explores.

Flexible fixation or the so-called ‘biological fixation’ has been shown to encourage the formation of fracture callus, leading to better healing outcomes. However, the nature of the relationship between the degree of mechanical stability provided by a flexible fixation and the optimal healing outcomes has not been fully understood. In this study, we have developed a validated quantitative model to predict how cells in fracture callus might respond to change in their mechanical microenvironment due to different configurations of locking compression plate (LCP) in clinical practice, particularly in the early stage of healing. The model predicts that increasing flexibility of the LCP by changing the bone–plate distance (BPD) or the plate working length (WL) could enhance interfragmentary strain in the presence of a relatively large gap size (.3 mm). Furthermore, conventional LCP normally results in asymmetric tissue development during early stage of callus formation, and the increase of BPD or WL is insufficient to alleviate this problem.

This Perspective reflects on the withdrawal of the Liverpool Care Pathway in the UK, and its implications for Australia. Integrated care pathways are documents which outline the essential steps of multidisciplinary care in addressing a specific clinical problem. They can be used to introduce best clinical practice, to ensure that the most appropriate management occurs at the most appropriate time and that it is provided by the most appropriate health professional. By providing clear instructions, decision support and a framework for clinician-patient interactions, care pathways guide the systematic provision of best evidence-based care. The Liverpool Care Pathway (LCP) is an example of an integrated care pathway, designed in the 1990s to guide care for people with cancer who are in their last days of life and are expected to die in hospital. This pathway evolved out of a recognised local need to better support non-specialist palliative care providers’ care for patients dying of cancer within their inpatient units. Historically, despite the large number of people in acute care settings whose treatment intent is palliative, dying patients receiving general hospital acute care tended to lack sufficient attention from senior medical staff and nursing staff. The quality of end-of-life care was considered inadequate, therefore much could be learned from the way patients were cared for by palliative care services. The LCP was a strategy developed to improve end-of-life care in cancer patients and was based on the care received by those dying in the palliative care setting.

When augmented with the longest common prefix (LCP) array and some other structures, the suffix array can solve many string processing problems in optimal time and space. A compressed representation of the LCP array is also one of the main building blocks in many compressed suffix tree proposals. In this paper, we describe a new compressed LCP representation: the sampled LCP array. We show that when used with a compressed suffix array (CSA), the sampled LCP array often offers better time/space trade-offs than the existing alternatives. We also show how to construct the compressed representations of the LCP array directly from a CSA

Se realizó un estudio en Instituto de Capacitación e Investigación en Desarrollo Rural Integral (ICIDRI), como parte de una serie de estudios desarrollados por el mismo, que se ubica en el municipio de Masatepe en el departamento de Masaya, tuvo como ob jetivo evaluar carbono almacenado en el componente arbóreo, para lo que se eligieron tres lotes de un sistema de café bajo sombra; El Genízaro (LGR), El Guanacaste (LGT) y El Cinco piso (LCP). Se realizó un censo forestal al 100 % para individuos con diáme tro mayor a 10 cm, encontrándose 24 familias botánicas, 51 especies y 704 individuos; de estos 348 se encontraron LGR, 226 en LCP y 130 en el LGT, las familias sobresalientes fueron las Fabaceaes, Rutaceaes; Sapotaceaes, Anacardiaceaes y Mimosaceae, las es pecies más representativas fueron: Cordia alliodora 19%, Simarouba glauca 17%, Persea americana 13%, y Mangifera indica y Cedrela o dorata con 12% por individual, acumulando el 73% del total. Al realizar un diagnóstico para conocer la calidad de árboles uti lizados como sombra, se definieron 6 categorías llamadas calidad de árboles; individuos sanos (C1), regulares (C2), con podas muy altas (≥50%) (C3), secos y casi secos (C4), con parasitas (C5) y con otro tipo de afectaciones (C6), se encontró que de los tr es lotes evaluados, El Guanacaste, fue el más sano presentando 42% en categoría (C1) y 22% en (C2). El carbono almacenado por lote fue de 108. 0 t C en el LGR, 54.5 t C para el LCP y 26.7 t C para el LGT, esta diferencias en carbono almacenado por lote se debieron a que estos presentan diferencia en área y así mismo en número de individuos y evaluando el carbono registrado por lote se encontró que e stos valores corresponden a 58.4 t C ha. - 1, almacenado en el componente arbór eo del sistema café bajo sombra

It has been widely recognized that the combination of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and low molar mass thermotropic liquid crystals (tLCs) not only provides a useful way to align CNTs, but also dramatically enhances the tLC performance especially in the liquid crystal display technology. Such CNT-tLC nanocomposites have ignited hopes to address many stubborn problems within the field, such as low contrast, slow response, and narrow view angle. However, this material development has been limited by the poor solubility of CNTs in tLCs. Here, we describe an effective strategy to solve the problem. Prior to integrating with tLCs, pristine CNTs are physically "coated" by a liquid crystalline polymer (LCP) which is compatible with tLCs. The homogeneous CNT-tLC composite obtained in this way is stable for over 6 months, and the concentration of CNTs in tLCs can reach 1 wt %. We further demonstrate the alignment of CNTs at high CNT concentrations by an electric field with a theory to model the impedance response of the CNT-tLC mixture.

A study was conducted in June 2009 to assess the current status of ecological condition and potential human-health risks throughout subtidal estuarine waters of the Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve (SINERR) along the coast of Georgia. Samples were collected for multiple indicators of ecosystem condition, including water quality (dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, pH, nutrients and chlorophyll, suspended solids, fecal coliform bacteria and coliphages), sediment quality (granulometry, organic matter content, chemical contaminant concentrations), biological condition (diversity and abundance of benthic fauna, fish tissue contaminant levels and pathologies), and human dimensions (fish-tissue contaminant levels relative to human-health consumption limits, various aesthetic properties). Use of a probabilistic sampling design facilitated the calculation of statistics to estimate the spatial extent of the Reserve classified according to various categories (i.e., Good, Fair, Poor) of ecological condition relative to established thresholds of these indicators, where available. Overall, the majority of subtidal habitat in the SINERR appeared to be healthy, with over half (56.7 %) of the Reserve area having water quality, sediment quality, and benthic biological condition indicators rated in the healthy to intermediate range of corresponding guideline thresholds. None of the stations sampled had one or more indicators in all three categories rated as poor/degraded. While these results are encouraging, it should be noted that one or more indicators were rated as poor/degraded in at least one of the three categories over 40% of the Reserve study area, represented by 12 of the 30 stations sampled. Although measures of fish tissue chemical contamination were not included in any of the above estimates, a number of trace metals, pesticides, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were found at low yet detectable levels in some fish at stations where fish were caught. Levels of mercury and total PCBs in some fish specimens fell within EPA guideline values considered safe, given a consumption rate of no more than four fish meals per month. Moreover, PCB congener profiles in sediments and fish in the SINERR exhibit a relative abundance of higher-chlorinated homologs which are uniquely characteristic of Aroclor 1268. It has been well-documented that sediments and fish in the creeks and marshes near the LCP Chemicals Superfund site, near Brunswick, Georgia, also display this congener pattern associated with Aroclor 1268, a highly chlorinated mixture of PCBs used extensively at a chlor-alkali plant that was in operation at the LCP site from 1955-1994. This report provides results suggesting that the protected habitats lying within the boundaries of the SINERR may be experiencing the effects of a legacy of chemical contamination at a site over 40km away. These effects, as well as other potential stressors associated with increased development of nearby coastal areas, underscore the importance of establishing baseline ecological conditions that can be used to track potential changes in the future and to guide management and stewardship of the otherwise relatively unspoiled ecosystems of the SINERR.

一. 濒危植物银杉幼树对生长光强的适应研究 银杉(Cathaya argyrophylla)是我国松科中的特有单种属植物,被认为处于濒危状态。在对银杉群落多年调查研究的基础上,针对银杉幼树生长过程对光强的需求特性,开展了银杉幼树对光的适应性研究。试验在人工培育的银杉苗圃地,采用遮荫的方法,设置不同的光环境处理(100%、45%和3%自然光强),利用气体交换技术和叶绿素荧光技术测定了3种光强下银杉叶片光合生理指标的变化,探讨了不同光环境下银杉幼树光合能力在不同季节的变化及对生长光强的响应等。结果表明,在夏季银杉生长旺盛时期,遮荫导致叶片最大光合速率(Pnmax)、羧化效率(CE)明显下降。不同叶龄叶片的下降幅度不同,在3%低光环境下,当年生叶片较1年生叶片降低幅度大。银杉幼树光补偿点(LCP)和光饱和点(L.SP)随生长光强的下降均有所降低,但低光强(3%自然光强)条件下,全晴天时实际的光辐射量高于当年生叶片光补偿点的累积时间约6h,而且距离光饱和的区域相差极大,造成全天碳同化量低,同化物累积少,严重影响了银杉幼树的正常生长:在不同处理中全光强条件下银杉幼树长势最好,45%光强条件下幼树生长减慢。冬季银杉最大光合速率(Pnmax)、羧化效率(CE)值均低于夏季,光补偿点(LCP)和光饱和点(L.SP)也较夏季降低。全光照条件下无论是当年生叶片和1年生叶片,在冬季均出现了轻微光抑制现象,适度遮荫有利于银杉抵御冬季光抑制。无论在遮荫或不遮荫条件下,冬季银杉叶片将所吸收的相对过多光能通过非辐射途经耗散出去,表现出一种光保护策略。 二.滴灌棉田根区水分对棉花根系生长的调节研究 为了探讨膜下滴灌棉花根区土壤水分对棉花根系生长的影响及地上部的关系,揭示膜下滴灌棉花节水高产的生理机理,本试验通过设置不同滴水量处理,控制根区水分供应,研究膜下滴灌棉花根区水分变化对根系生长的调节效应。结果表明,限量滴灌条件下0-40cm土层内相对田间持水率在每次滴水前下降到50%以下,难以满足棉花正常生长对水分的要求;常规滴灌在每次滴水前,根区水分保持在临界水平下限以上,可基本满足棉花根系正常生长的需要,而充分滴灌量处理根区水分偏多。水分对根系生物量的影响表现为,充分滴灌与常规滴灌处理根系生物量差异不显著,两者均显著高于限量滴灌处理。随滴水量的增加,土层中根系分布集中,土壤浅层根量所占比重增加;根系在水平方向上以棉株为中心10cm区域内根量约占总根量的80%以上。根区水分对棉株生理特性也具有一定的调节作用,常规滴灌量的根系活力在生育后期高于充分滴灌量和限量滴灌处理,且深层根系活力所占比例较高。根区水分能够调节棉花根系与地上部生长比例,限量滴灌条件下棉花受到严重的干旱胁迫,虽然根冠比升高,但根系及地上部生物量均明显降低;充分滴灌量条件下单位面积根系总量、总生物学产量在各生育时期均高于常规滴灌量和限量滴灌处理,有较高铃数,但营养器官生物量占总生物量的比例较常规滴灌量处理高,最终实收棉花产量较常规滴灌量处理的低;常规滴灌在各生育时期根冠比适宜,单位重量根系的生产力较高,棉花经济产量高和水分利用效率均较高,增产潜力大。

为了进一步降低水中营养盐浓度、提高水体透明度,为湖泊生态系统的恢复创造条件,促进湖泊水体生态系统良性循环,以太湖五里湖富营养化水体为研究对象,采用中试规模的人工湿地技术来强化净化富营养化水体。重点研究了不同流态、不同基质、不同植物及植物有无条件下各人工湿地系统对富营养化水体的处理效果。此外,还对生长在人工湿地中的7种湿地植物芦苇(Phragmites communis)、香蒲(Typha angustifolia)、茭白(Zizania caduciflora)、水葱(Scirpus validus.)、菖蒲(Acorus calamus)、鸢尾(Iris pseudacorus)和千屈菜(Lythrum salicaria)的生长、生理生态特性如气体交换、叶绿素荧光、光合色素含量及氮、磷吸收能力进行了研究,旨在探索高等植物在富营养化水体净化过程中的机理和规律,为人工湿地污水净化机理奠定一定的科学和理论基础。主要研究结果如下: 通过对垂直潜流、水平潜流和自由表面流三种类型的人工湿地系统对富营养化水体净化效果的对比研究,我们发现在水力负荷0.64 m d-1,进水污染物浓度化学需氧量(COD) 7.37 mg L-1、氨氮(NH4+-N) 1.63 mg L-1、硝氮(NO3--N )1.41 mg L-1、总氮(TN) 4.82 mg L-1和总磷(TP) 0.15 mg L-1的条件下,三种不同流态的人工湿地对富营养化水体均有一定的净化功能。三种类型的人工湿地对主要污染物COD、NH4+-N、NO3--N、TN和TP的去除效果分别为:垂直潜流40.4%、45.9%、62.9%、51.6%和64.3%;水平潜流39.6%、32.0%、65.3%、52.1%和65.7%;自由表面流16.5%、22.8%、34.2%、19.8%和35.1%。相比之下,垂直潜流、水平潜流对主要的污染物的去除效果明显好于自由表面流人工湿地。除垂直潜流湿地NH4+-N的平均去除率显著大于水平潜流外,两人工湿地在其余指标的去除效果上无显著差异。考虑到土地面积的限制,就太湖五里湖富营养化水体治理而言,垂直潜流和水平潜流较自由表面流更为适合。 以沸石为基质的人工湿地较以砾石为基质的人工湿地对NH4+-N有很好的去除效果,除此之外两种基质类型的人工湿地在其余各污染指标的去除效果方面差异不显著。但随着湿地运行时间的延长,沸石对NH4+-N的吸收能力会逐渐减弱,考虑到湿地构建成本,建议就地取材,以当地较为廉价的砾石为人工湿地基质比较经济适用。 有无植物对有机污染物COD的去除效果影响差异不显著,但对TN和TP去除效果影响差异极显著,有植物的人工湿地对TN的去除率比无植物的分别高出12.5%和13.4%,对TP去除率分别高出16.9%和31.0%。不同植物对人工湿地处理效果的影响差异不显著,可见湿地流态对处理效果的影响大于植物的影响。 各湿地植物叶片的净光合速率(Pn)日变化均为双峰曲线,有光合“午休”现象。其中芦苇、茭白、鸢尾、菖蒲、水葱和千屈菜Pn的下降主要是由气孔导度(gs)的下降造成的,而香蒲则更多的受叶肉光合能力下降的影响。除千屈菜的Pn与gs之间呈显著正相关外,其余植物的Pn与gs之间均呈极显著正相关。气孔行为对湿地植物光合作用碳的固定显示了明显的主导控制作用。 各湿地植物的光补偿点(LCP)差异不显著,其均值都在10µmol m-2 s-1以上,显示了阳生植物的特性。但湿地植物的光饱和点 (LSP)差异极显著,LSP大小依次为香蒲1476.3µmol m-2 s-1>水葱1140.0µmol m-2 s-1>菖蒲753.7µmol m-2 s-1>芦苇751.7µmol m-2 s-1>茭白640.7µmol m-2 s-1>千屈菜567.3µmol m-2 s-1>鸢尾479.0µmol m-2 s-1。7种湿地植物的CO2补偿点差异极显著,CO2补偿点大小依次为水葱47.1µmol mol-1>茭白28.4µmol mol-1>香蒲23.7µmol mol-1>鸢尾16.8µmol mol-1>菖蒲16.7µmol mol-1>千屈菜15.2µmol mol-1>芦苇14.8µmol mol-1。与此相反,湿地植物的CO2饱和点差异不显著。 各湿地植物的Fv/Fm值大小差异也极显著,Fv/Fm值大小依次为千屈菜0.8168>水葱0.8348>香蒲0.8262>菖蒲0.8198>芦苇0.8168>茭白0.8040>鸢尾0.7930。由此可见千屈菜、水葱较芦苇和茭白有较高的PSⅡ效率。7种湿地植物叶片的叶绿素a、叶绿素b和类胡萝卜素含量水平差异极显著,芦苇和茭白叶片的叶绿素和类胡萝卜素含量水平都较高,这在客观上解释了他们为何拥有较强的光合能力。 不同湿地植物的生物量大小差异极显著,平均生物量(干重)变化范围在0.26-6.65 kg m-2之间。除香蒲和水葱的地下部生物量显著大于地上部外,其余植物都是地上部生物量大于地下部,这非常有利于人工湿地生态工程中通过收获植物地上部生物量来达到去除氮、磷污染目的。 不同湿地植物植株氮、磷含量差异极显著。湿地植物对氮吸收总量变化范围为6.09-93.96 g m-2,吸收氮最高是芦苇,最低是菖蒲;对磷吸收总量变化范围为0.51-8.95 g m-2,吸收磷最高是香蒲,最低是菖蒲。经测算,植物吸收的总氮量占人工湿地总氮去除量的0.6-17.1%,总磷量占人工湿地总磷去除量的1.4-40.5%。本次试验中香蒲和芦苇对氮、磷的吸收去除能力比较高,茭白、鸢尾、水葱和千屈菜的吸收去除能力中等,而菖蒲的吸收能力较弱。

耐热树脂或称特种工程塑料主要包括聚芳飒类、聚醚酮类、聚芳酷、液晶类、聚酞亚胺和聚苯硫醚等。长春应化所已获得有关聚芳醚酮(PEK-C),聚芳醚砜(PES-C)和聚酞亚胺(PEI)等特种工程塑料的专利12项。在特种工程塑料中,PEK-C,PES-C和PEI有着最高的机械强度(室温下的拉伸强度在100MPa以上)。PES-C和PEI的耐热等级最高(热变形温度分别为225℃和220-260℃)。PE工有极好的阻燃性(氧指数为47)和耐磨性。而PEK-C的加工性好、韧性高、耐磨损和抗电击穿等性质突出,其综合物性与英国ICI公司的聚醚醚酮(PEEK)相近,是良好的高性能复合材料基体树脂。具有优异综合物性的PEK-C、PES-C、PEI及其改性系列材料在机械、电子电气、军工、医疗及食品等许多领域有着广泛的应用前景。近年来,长春应化所在酞侧基聚芳醚酮和聚芳醚矾的结构一加工一物性关系及开发应用等方面作了大量的研究工作,主要涉及此两种聚合物的粘弹性、屈服行为、断裂行为、转变与松弛以及复合与共混等方面内容。这些研究工作表明,酞侧基聚芳醚酮和聚芳醚矾经过共混和复合改性能够具有更优异的使用性能,而且这些研究中的一些方法同样可以应用于其它耐热树脂的改性。高分子材料科学的发展趋势就是在更深层次上把握材料的结构特点及其与宏观物性间的相互关耽达到高分子分子设计和材料设计的目标,实现高性能化和高功能化使现有的高分子材料找到更广泛而合理的应用。工程塑料的高性能化是高分子材料科学近年来发展的一个主要方向。为满足航天航空、电子信息、汽车工业家用电器以及机械等多方面技术领域的需要,要求材料的机械性能、耐热性、耐腐蚀性和长期使用性等性能进一步提高。在现有工程塑料品种的基础上通过共混增韧、复合增强等改性方法使其成为高性能的结构材料,是高分子材料私}学的前沿课题及重要任务。本文采用熔融加工的方法制备了PEK-C和PES-C耐热树脂的共混与复合材料,利用热分析、力学性能检测、微观形貌观察、加工性能检测等手段研究了共混物及复合材料的结构与性能。通过对PEK-C和PES-C的冲击断裂过程的研究,我们发现,两种材料在裂纹起始扩展时所能承受的最大应力值相同,但PES-C的裂纹引发(ti)和扩展(tp)所需时间仅是PEK-C的一半,此即PES-C的冲击强度(I)和断裂韧性(KIC)较低的原因。因此,如能延长裂纹引发和扩展的时间,也就是说如能扩大断裂过程区,抑制裂纹的早期形成就能达到增韧的目的。在PES-C的增韧研究方面,我们可以借鉴通用塑料的增韧方法,即在高聚物基体中,以适当的手段掺加第二相粒子,通过粒子的变形和引发基体在粒子周围产生剪切屈服或银纹化等作用机理,实现增韧目的。所不同的是,对PES-C类耐热树脂来说,实现增韧的同时应保持材料原有的高强度和高耐热性等优良险质。另一方面,由于耐热树脂的加工温度极高,适合于通用塑料的偶联剂等界面改性技术已不再适用于特种工程塑料。针对PES-C的增韧方法和机理的研究工作可归纳为以下三个方面:①刚性有机粒子(PPS,LCP等)增韧;②柔性有机粒子(UHMWPE)增韧;③刚性无机粒子(硅灰石)增韧。物理老化或结构松弛效应使得高聚物材料的结构和宏观物性随时间而发生变化。随时间的增长,PES-C和PES-C/PPS共混物的拉伸强度增加、冲击韧性减小,而且这种变化趋势表现出物理老化过程的自衰减特性。研究结果表明,PES-C/pps共棍物的结构松弛速率比PES-C慢。具有良好界面相互作用的PES一C/PPS共混物材料的强度和韧性始终高于PES-C纯组份聚合物。因此说,pES-C/PPS共混物不仅具有良好的短期性能,而且在高温下长期使用过程中,其力学性能将始终优于纯组份聚合物。我们研究了热固性聚酞亚胺预聚物(P01)增容聚芳醚酮/聚苯硫醚共混物的热学性能、力学性能、形态结构及加工性,对POI在聚芳醚酮/聚苯硫醚共混物中所起的增容作用机理进行了初步探讨。实验发现,PEK-C/PPS共混物在保持PEK一C原有的高强度和高模量的同时,加工流动性和韧性得到一定程度的改善。PEK-C/ppS/Pm三元共混物中,少量的POI能够控制PPS分散相的相区尺寸,防止分散相粒子的自凝聚,起到了增容剂的作用。热固性高聚物预聚体可用于增容热塑性高聚物共混体系,这种增容方法有其特殊性和新颖性,增容后的聚芳醚酮/聚苯硫醚共棍物的力学性能得以改善。利用纤维可以作为结晶性高聚物的异相成核剂的特性,将合适的结晶性高聚物与非晶高聚物共混,可以在在一定程度上改善非晶高聚物与纤维间的界面粘结,提高纤维增强效率。这种方法对PEK-C类耐热树脂尤为重要。通过与即S共混,玻纤增强PEK-C复合材料中纤维与基体间的界面粘结以及纤维的长径比明显增加,因而复合材料的强度和模量显著提高,而且加工流动性也得到一定程度的改善。从考虑综合物性的角度出发,利用结晶性高聚物改善纤维与非晶树脂基体间的界面粘结时,结晶性高聚物的用量存在一个最佳值。与PEEK/GF复合材料相比,PEK-C/PPS/GF复合材料在加工能耗、价格等方面存在很大优势,可以预期这一高性能复合材料可应用于制造高强度、高耐热、耐腐蚀、耐磨损、耐疲劳的往复运动部件、振动或转动等机械零部件。

辽东山区森林是辽宁省重要的水源涵养基地与用材林资源,在维系区域内生态环境和林产品的可持续供应方面占据十分重要的战略位置。该区的天然林已基本绝迹,因此该区的森林生态恢复具有重要意义。 已有研究表明,影响辽东山区森林更新演替最主要的环境因素是光环境。核桃楸(Juglans mandshurica)、水曲柳(Fraxinus mandshurica)、黄菠萝(Phellodendron amurense)和红松(Pinus koraiensis)是阔叶红松林的优势树种;这些树种幼苗对光环境的适应性差异,在群落演替和森林生态恢复中发挥重要作用。 本论文采用人为控制遮光试验测定了核桃楸、水曲柳和黄菠萝幼苗对光环境的响应,同时,采用自然光环境试验和人为控制遮光试验相结合的手段测定了红松幼苗对光环境的适应性。人为控制遮光试验设置的光环境类似于自然中的典型林窗、林缘和林下的光环境;在人为控制遮光试验中,研究材料于2007年4月末栽植于4个不同光环境(全光、全光的60%、30%和15%,分别记为FI、II、LI和WI处理)下,在2007年7~9月测定了树种幼苗的光合生理、叶片特征、生长和冠层形态特征等方面的变化,结果表明: 1)不同光环境处理区内的光合有效辐射(PAR)具有显著差异,形成一定的光强梯度,而气温,相对湿度和土壤含水量差异并不显著。全光处理区内的日平均PAR为842.4μmol∙m-2∙s-1,最大PAR为1884.1μmol∙m-2∙s-1,显著高于其它处理区。 2)生长在高光强下4个树种幼苗的叶片有较高的光合能力(Amax),随生长光强的下降,Amax显著下降;光补偿点(LCP)和光饱和点(LSP)也表现出随着生长光强的下降而降低的趋势。核桃楸和水曲柳净光合速率Pn的日变化最大值约为16μmol∙m-2∙s-1,黄菠萝的约为13μmol∙m-2∙s-1,这与温带阔叶树种叶片的最大净光合速率Pn在10~15μmol∙m-2∙s-1范围内的结论相符;3个苗龄红松针叶的Pn日变化均呈单峰型,没有光合“午休”现象,峰值出现在11:00~13:00期间。 3)4个树种幼苗的比叶重(LMA)和单位叶面积鲜重(LFA)均随着光环境的降低而下降;三个阔叶树种幼苗的叶长L、叶宽W、叶周长C和单叶面积A均具有随着光强的降低而呈增大的趋势,表明叶片通过调节叶片的形态来适应多变的光环境。 4)不同光环境对阔叶树种幼苗的植株冠形和生长有显著影响,而红松幼苗植株冠形和生长的变化无明显的规律性。 综上,本研究得出以下结论:○1.通过可塑性分析和模糊隶属函数分析,核桃楸和黄菠萝较水曲柳能适应更宽的光强幅度;同时,核桃楸和黄菠萝较水曲柳的需光性更强,核桃楸和黄菠萝的需光性差异不大。○2.与3年、5年生红松相比,7年生红松对光强的适应幅度最小;同时,7年生红松的需光性强于3年和5年生红松。○3.本研究结果支持前人的观点:红松在幼年阶段能耐一定程度的遮光,在全光的20%~60%光条件下生长较好,随着年龄的增大,红松的需光性增加。

青藏高原东缘的亚高山针叶林是长江上游重要的生态屏障,经过近六十年的采伐后,取而代之的是大量人工种植的云杉纯林。目前,这些人工林已经表现出树种单一,结构层次简单等生态问题,其物种多样性及生态效益与同地带天然林相比差距较明显。如何丰富该地区物种多样性,完善人工林生态系统的生态功能是一个十分重要的课题。林下植物是人工林群落的重要组成部分,对维持群落的生物多样性及完善生态系统功能具有明显的作用。因此,研究该地区人工针叶林的林下植被对不同生境的适应性对于理解人工林生态系统物种多样性的形成和维持机制都具有重要的意义。 本文以青藏高原东部亚高山针叶林的主要森林类型----云杉人工林为研究对象,选择林下11种具有不同喜光特性的常见植物,分别设置人工林林冠下及成熟林窗为研究样地,通过对各种植物叶片形态与物质分配特征、叶片解剖学特征、叶片光合生理特性、植物自然分布特征等方面的比较分析,研究林下植物对不同光生境的适应策略及其适应能力,揭示不同物种对人工林生境的适应共性,为西南亚高山地区植被恢复及人工林的经营管理提供科学依据。具体研究结果如下: 在叶片形态和物质分配特征方面:在林窗光生境中,11种林下植物叶片比叶重(LMA)显著高于林下光生境的同种植物。同时,林窗下生长的植物叶片叶片厚度及栅栏细胞长度显著增加,这是影响叶片比叶重变化的直接原因。而多数植物叶重比在两种生境中无明显变化。说明在长期适应自然生境之后,植物可能更多地采取调节叶片组织细胞水平(即叶片功能细胞形态)及叶片器官水平(即单个叶片形态)特征的策略来适应各类生境,而非整株水平上的叶片总比重的增减。 在叶片解剖结构特征方面:多数阔叶物种栅栏组织厚度(PT)、栅栏组织厚度/海绵组织厚度(PT/ST)、栅栏细胞层数及近半数种的气孔密度(SD)在林窗生境中更大或更多,而叶片表皮细胞厚度(UET、LET)气孔长径(SL)及海绵组织厚度(ST)受两种生境影响不大。喜光特性相似的物种在生境适应策略上具有一定的趋同性。 在光合生理特征方面:在林窗生境中多数种植物的最大光合速率(Amax)、暗呼吸速率(Rd)及喜光植物光补偿点(LCP)显著或极显著高于林内生境同种植物。且在同一生境条件下,多数深度耐荫植物比喜光及轻度喜光植物有稍低的Rd和LCP。各植物在林内低光生境中具有更大的内禀光能转化效率,并在中午12:00~14:00之间光强最大的时刻发生了的最深程度的光抑制。多数种能通过调节自身某种光合素含量或色素之间的比例来适应不同的光生境,即通过增加叶绿素含量或降低Chla/b值来适应林内弱光生境,通过提高类胡萝卜素含量或单位叶绿素的类胡萝卜素含量降低强光带来的伤害。绝大多数物种并不采取调节叶片C、N含量的策略来适应不同的光生境。总之,植物部分光合参数(Amax、Rd、LCP)受生境的影响与其自身喜光特性有关,但另一些参数(Fv/Fm日变化、色素含量及比例、叶氮相对含量)受生境影响与其自身喜光特性无明显关联。 在表型可塑性方面:在叶片各表型参数中,器官水平及细胞水平的形态特征参数平均可塑性大于整株水平形态和物质分配特征参数可塑性;叶片光合组织的可塑性大于非光合组织可塑性;反映植物光合能力的参数可塑性大于叶片色素含量参数可塑性。植物叶片形态和物质分配、解剖学特征参数平均可塑性大小与其自身喜光特性基本吻合,即喜光种及轻度耐荫种各参数可塑性最高,深度耐荫种可塑性最小,而这种规律并未在光合生理参数的可塑性大小上体现出来。但是叶片形态和物质分配参数、光合生理参数的平均可塑性水平却大于叶片解剖学参数。 在植物自然分布特征方面:喜光物种云杉幼苗及歪头菜在林内生境中分布密度明显降低,深度耐荫种疏花槭却恰恰相反,更多数物种(7种植物)在两种生境中密度变化趋势不明显。从分布格局来看,7种植物在两种生境中均为聚集分布,但聚集强度为林窗>林内;少数物种桦叶荚迷、直穗小檗、冰川茶藨、黄背勾儿茶在林窗中为聚集型,在林内生境中的分布型发生改变而成为随机型,说明光生境的差异能影响到植物种群的分布特征。但这种影响程度与植物自身的喜光特性无关,同时与各物种叶片表型平均可塑性的大小也无明显关联。 The subalpine coniferous forest area in eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is important ecology-barrier of upriver Yangtze. In past sixty years, those forests had been cut down and replaced with a lot of spruce plantations. At now, there are many ecology problems presenting to us such as singleness species, simple configuration, lower species diversity and ecological benefit than natural forests at the same belt. How to restore the species diversity and enhance the eco-function of the plantations is a very important issue. The understory plants are important part of plantation community, which improved the bio-diversity and eco-function distinctly of forests. So, it is very significance to study the adaptation of understory plants to different environment in plantation, and this study would helping us to understand how plantations to develop and remain their biodiversity. This study was conducted in a 60a spruce plantation in Miyaluo located in western Sichuan, China, and spruce plantation is major types of subalpine coniferous forest in eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In this paper, the leaf morphological and biomass-distributed characteristics, the anatomical characteristics, the photosynthetic characteristics and the distribution patterns characteristics of eleven different light-requirement understory species grown in two different environments (forest gaps and underneath close canopy) were studied and compared. The purpose of this study was to analyze the adaptation of this forest understory plants, to show up the commonness of these different light-requirement understory species in light acclimation, and to provide some scientific reference to manage and restore the vegetation of subalpine plantation of southwest China. The results were as follows: The leaf morphological and biomass-distributed characteristics: These eleven species in forest gaps had significantly higher dry weight per leaf area (LMA) than those under close canopy. The palisade parenchyma cells of the broad-leaved species in gaps were significantly longer than those grown under the canopy, which been a directed factor for the change of leaf mass per unit area (LMA) in different environment. But the leaf weight ratio (LWR) of most plants species were not evidently changed by the contrasted environments in our study. It was shown the morphological characteristics changing been adopted as a strategy of light acclimation for plants wasn’t on whole plant level (leaf weight ratio) but cellular level (the function cells morphological characteristics) and organic level (the leaf morphological and biomass-distributed characteristics) mostly. The leaf anatomical characteristics: Most broad-leaved plants in gaps increased palisade parenchyma thickness (PT), the palisade parenchyma cell layers and the ratio of palisade to spongy parenchyma (PT/ST). So did as almost about half species in this study in stomatal density (SD). No significant differences in thickness of leaf epidermal cells (UET, LET), stomatal length (SL) and spongy parenchyma (ST) between two environments of most species were observed. The results suggested that species with light-requirement approximately had convergent evolution on adaptation to light condition. The leaf photosynthetic characteristics: The dark respiration rate (Rd) of most plants species, the light compensation point (LCP) of light-demanding plants species in gaps were significantly increased than under close canopy in this study. In a same habitat, most deep-shade-tolerant plants had lower Rd and LCP than those light-demanding plants and slight-shade-tolerant plants. Each species has bigger inherent electron transport rate under close canopy than in gaps, and the greatest photoinhibition happened during 12 to 14 in the daytime. Most species could adapt different light environment by the way of changing their photosynthetic pigments content or the ratio of pigments content. For example, some plants under close canopy increased chlorophyll (Chl) or reduced the values of the ratio Chla/b to adapted the low light condition, some plants in gaps increased carotenoid (Car) or reduced the weight ratio CarChl to avoid been hurt in high light. For most plants, changing the content of C and N in leaf wasn’t a strategy of light acclimation. In conclusion, the variation of some leaf photosynthetic parameters in different light environment such as Fv/Fm, pigments, C and N in leaf related with the light-requirmnet of species, but the others such as Amax, Rd, LCP did not. The leaf plasticity indexes: Among those leaf plasticity indexes, the leaf morphological and biomass-distributed parameters on cellular and organic level were greater than on whole plant level for same species, and the photosynthetic parenchyma parameters were greater than non-photosynthetic parenchyma parameters in same leaf, and photosynthetic capability parameters were greater than photosynthetic pigments content parameters for same species. The average plasticity indexes of leaf morphological and biomass-distributed and anatomical parameters were accordant with plants’ light-requirement approximately: those light-demanding plants and slight-shade-tolerant plants had bigger plasticity indexes than deep-shade-tolerant plants. But this regular wasn’t observed in physiological plasticity indexes for most plants, though the average leaf plasticity indexes of leaf morphological and biomass-distributed, photosynthetic characteristics parameters was greater than the anatomical characteristics parameters. The distribution patterns characteristics: Oppositely to the deep-shade-tolerant specie Acer laxiflorum Pax., the density of light-demanding species Picea asperata Mast. and Vicia unijuga A. Br. in gaps was bigger than under close canopy. Each of the other species has the approximately density in two different environment. The spatial patterns of seven species were aggregated distribution in two environments, but the trend of aggregation of population under close canopy was decrease from in gaps. A few species such as Viburnum betulifoium Batal., Berberis dasystachya Maxim., Ribes glaciale Wall. and Berchemia flavescens Brongn. were aggregated distribution in gaps while random distribution under close canopy. It was shown that the difference between two light environments could affect the distribution pattern of plant population, and the effect didn’t relate with the light-requirement or plasticity indexes of species.
