This monograph discuss the postmodernity social reality issues, emphasizing cultural, communicational, technological and informational extents. Via data collection through specific literature, and sources of different medias( internet, books, comic books, movies, novels, sociological, informational, technological, communicational and humanistic theories) behavioral patterns could be analyzed and the postmodern technological,informational and communicational reality as well, and how they mutually influence the “digital culture” construction (also called cyberculture). The results of this research were used to build a narrative which suits the new culture in development both in shape and in content: the scrip “Hotel Seol”. Therefore, “Hotel Seol” is consisted of an interactive and hypermedia narrative, in which the main reference sources are the study mentioned above, cyberpunk science fiction genre and “Hell”-first part of the book “Divine Comedy”, by DanteAlighieri

Reconhecimento de voz para aplicações em automação implementado em FPGA

In many movies of scientific fiction, machines were capable of speaking with humans. However mankind is still far away of getting those types of machines, like the famous character C3PO of Star Wars. During the last six decades the automatic speech recognition systems have been the target of many studies. Throughout these years many technics were developed to be used in applications of both software and hardware. There are many types of automatic speech recognition system, among which the one used in this work were the isolated word and independent of the speaker system, using Hidden Markov Models as the recognition system. The goals of this work is to project and synthesize the first two steps of the speech recognition system, the steps are: the speech signal acquisition and the pre-processing of the signal. Both steps were developed in a reprogrammable component named FPGA, using the VHDL hardware description language, owing to the high performance of this component and the flexibility of the language. In this work it is presented all the theory of digital signal processing, as Fast Fourier Transforms and digital filters and also all the theory of speech recognition using Hidden Markov Models and LPC processor. It is also presented all the results obtained for each one of the blocks synthesized e verified in hardware

AS NARRATIVAS VISUAIS E RELIGIOSAS DO VALE DO AMANHECER

O Vale do Amanhecer é um movimento religioso genuinamente brasileiro que surgiu a partir da década de 1960 no Distrito Federal. A pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar a cultura visual religiosa do Vale do Amanhecer como elemento-chave da sua interpretação e construção da sua narrativa religiosa pós-moderna. Parte-se da hipótese de que a sua iconografia enquanto se utiliza elementos da ficção científica representa uma forma nova e rara de se situar na contemporaneidade considerando aspectos da cosmologia do século XX, para construir uma narrativa religiosa adaptada. Como referencial teórico utilizamos a abordagem de Edgar Morin sobre a intersecção de cinema e imaginário, a reflexão de Joseph Campbell como modelo da jornada do herói ou monomito. Como metodologia propõem-se partir da proposta por Gillian Rose para a interpretação da cultura visual. Espera-se evidenciar a importância das narrativas literárias espíritas e cinematográficas de ficção científica na constituição da narrativa pictórica do Vale do Amanhecer e como isso transformou este movimento em um dos principais fenômenos religiosos que assuiram a nova cosmologia
