Ce présent mémoire est animé par une forte conviction : les frontières disciplinaires entre les sociologues et les écrivains ne doivent pas se transmuer en barbels obstruant un éclairage de sens renouvel sur la réalité sociale. Alors qu’au tournant du siècle dernier, le roman réaliste et la sociologie allemande se sont mutuellement inspirés, au fil du temps les canaux de communication se sont progressivement brouillés. Notre démarche consiste donc à renouer avec la tradition du monde germanophone à lorée du 20e siècle, période au cours de laquelle la sociologie émerge comme discipline propre. Plus précisément, nous chercherons à faire converser les deux régimes d’écriture afin d’une part, d’explorer les vertus cognitives de la littérature pour la sociologie et d’autre part de mieux comprendre comment les hommes contemporains aux premiers sociologues entrevoyaient lépoque des temps modernes. Pour ce faire, nous nous appuierons sur la sociologie de Max Weber (1864-1920), un des pères fondateurs de la discipline, ainsi que sur lanalyse de trois romans réalistes, signés par deux romanciers germanophones du début du 20e siècle, c’est-à-dire Joseph Roth (1894-1939) et Thomas Mann (1875-1955).

Com o objetivo de obter uma equação que, por meio de parâmetros lineares dimensionais das folhas, permitisse a estimativa da área foliar de Ipomoea hederifolia e Ipomoea nil, estudaram-se correlações entre a área foliar real (Sf) e os parâmetros dimensionais do limbo foliar, como o comprimento ao longo da nervura principal (C) e a largura máxima (L), perpendicular à nervura principal. Todas as - equações exponenciais, geométricas ou lineares simples - permitiram boas estimativas da área foliar. do ponto de vista prático, sugere-se optar pela equação linear simples envolvendo o produto C x L, considerando-se o coeficiente linear igual a zero. Desse modo, a estimativa da área foliar de I. hederifolia pode ser feita pela fórmula Sf = 0,7583 x (C x L), ou seja, 75,83% do produto entre o comprimento ao longo da nervura principal e a largura máxima, ao passo que, para I. nil, a estimativa da área foliar pode ser feita pela fórmula Sf = 0,6122 x (C x L), ou seja, 61,22% do produto entre o comprimento ao longo da nervura principal e a largura máxima da folha.

Agent-oriented conceptual modelling (AoCM) approaches in Requirements Engineering (RE) have received considerable attention recently. Semi-formal modeling frameworks such as i* assist analysts in requirements elicitation and reasoning of early-phase RE. AgentSpeak(L) is a widely accepted agent programming language. The Strategic Rationale (SR) model of the i* framework naturally lends itself to AgentSpeak(L) programs. Furthermore, the Strategic Dependency (SD) component of the i* framework prescribes the interaction between the agents in a multi-agent environment. This paper proposes a formal methodology for transforming a SR model to an AgentS- peak(L) agent. The constructed AgentSpeak(L) agents will then form the essential components of a multi-agent system, MAS.

To enhance and regulate cell affinity for poly (l-lactic acid) (PLLA) based materials, two hydrophilic ligands, poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) and poly (l-lysine) (PLL), were used to develop triblock copolymers: methoxy-terminated poly (ethylene glycol)-block-poly (l-lactide)-block-poly (l-lysine) (MPEG-b-PLLA-b-PLL) in order to regulate protein absorption and cell adhesion. Bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) were cultured on different composition of MPEG-b-PLLA-b-PLL copolymer films to determine the effect of modified polymer surfaces on BMSC attachment. To understand the molecular mechanism governing the initial cell adhesion on difference polymer surfaces, the mRNA expression of 84 human extracellular matrix (ECM) and adhesion molecules was analysed using quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). It was found that down regulation of adhesion molecules was responsible for the impaired BMSC attachment on PLLA surface. MPEG-b-PLLA-b-PLL copolymer films improved significantly the cell adhesion and cytoskeleton expression by upregulation of relevant molecule genes significantly. Six adhesion genes (CDH1, ITGL, NCAM1, SGCE, COL16A1, and LAMA3) were most significantly influenced by the modified PLLA surfaces. In summary, polymer surfaces altered adhesion molecule gene expression of BMSCs, which consequently regulated cell initial attachment on modified PLLA surfaces.
