The principal purpose of this document is to assist programme teams throughout the development process when they are considering the development or review of a route through the award where it will be delivered wholly, or primarily, via online distance learning. Please note that this document is current as of Sept 2015 but it is considered to be an evolving document and is updated/tweaked from time to time.

Twenty-Third Annual Management Achievement Awards Luncheon Program 2003

A program for the Twenty-Third Annual Management Achievement Awards Luncheon on February 7th, 2003 at The Windsor. Mr. Ziraldo is to be presented an award for his achievement in Management during the luncheon ceremony. Also, listed are the names of recipients of the award for the past twenty three years.

2nd Annual CIBPA Awards for Excellence, 2002

A certificate award from the Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association of Niagara. Mr. Ziraldo is presented with the Business Excellence award on October 26, 2002. The certificate is signed by Walt Lastewka, M.P. Caucus Advocate for SME's.

Master Conservationist Awards

It is a distinct pleasure to be with you this evening to present the Master Conservationist awards. I appreciate the opportunity to recognize those who have gone the extra mile to enhance Nebraska's natural resources and our way of life. Their efforts take on even more importance in a year like this when drought conditions have threatened field crops, pastures, and rangeland, as well as water for livestock and the citizens of our state. Times like this underscore how important it is for us to recognize the delicate balance of nature. The Master Conservationists we honor tonight have long-recognized the need for windbreaks to protect both crops and soils. They understand the benefits of controlled-grazing to maintain grass and protect the soil, as well as to provide forage in the future. Others have installed terraces and grassed waterways on fragile land, as well as reuse pits for irrigation water. Riverbanks have been restored and wildlife habitats have been developed. These practices and many others always are important, they take on new meaning in stressful periods like the one of 2002.

Distinguished Fellowship Awards Luncheon

What a treat it is to be here today at this distinguished fellowship awards luncheon to recognize and celebrate our 18 graduate students who are recipients of this year's awards. For each of you, I see your award as a wonderful recognition of your talent and promise. We are so pleased to have you learning and working with us in your chosen departments in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and on behalf of all of us in the Institute, I extend the heartiest of congratulations to each of you.

Omtvedt Innovation Awards Presented to Chris Calkins, Steven Jones, Rodger Johnson, and Sheila Scheideler

It's a great pleasure to welcome you to this very first recognition ceremony for the Omtvedt Innovation Awards. We are present here to honor innovation strengths of the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and certainly the four faculty members receiving today's awards are greatly deserving of this recognition. Just hearing about their work is gratifying!
