Descripción de empresas en crisis financiera: el caso de Argentina en las décadas del 1990 y 2000

[ES]Las investigaciones sobre la predicción de quiebras empresariales que se han venido dando en los últimos cincuenta años han indicado que la crisis financiera de las empresas ha sido y es un tema de preocupación en el mundo, también en Argentina. El horizonte de análisis de este trabajo comprende dos períodos de estabilidad económica en la década de 1990 y la del 2000, con la intención de comparar los indicadores financieros que explican la crisis empresarial en cada uno de ellos. De esta manera, se procura continuar con el aporte de evidencia empírica en esta línea de investigación, mediante el análisis de los indicadores, que según la literatura, influyen en el pronóstico de riesgo de crisis financiera. Estos estudios descriptivos previos a los inferenciales pueden ser replicados en otras economías emergentes, como herramienta de diagnostico de la vulnerabilidad financiera de las empresas.

Democracia, política externa e integração regional: um estudo comparativo das trejetórias de Argentina e Brasil

Este trabalho focaliza os fenômenos da politização da política externa e da luta pela democratização do seu processo decisório no que se refere às políticas deintegração regional de Argentina e Brasil, nos âmbitos do MERCOSUL e da ALCA. O objetivo principal é analisar, por um lado, os processos de liberalização política edemocratização do regime ocorridos nestes dois países entre os anos 1970 e 1980,e, por outro, as relações entre a incorporação do regionalismo às respectivas estratégias de inserção internacional e a politização da política externa, desde o finalda Guerra Fria. Considerando as controvérsias em torno do conceito de democracia,são discutidas as principais estratégias de análise encontradas na políticacomparada e as três principais perspectivas teóricas contemporâneas (realismo,pluralismo e deliberativismo). A análise empírica concentra-se em dois processos: a criação do MERCOSUL, desde suas origens até o final da fase de transição (1991-1994), e as negociações para a criação da ALCA, desde o seu lançamento até a suspensão (1994 2005). Argumenta-se que apesar da incorporação do regionalismo haver gerado um aumento da politização doméstica em torno da política externa, isto não significou, no entanto, qualquer avanço no sentido da democratização das decisões nestes âmbitos específicos

Dinâmicas federalistas em perspectiva comparada: um estudo das relações intergovernamentais no Brasil e na Argentina

O trabalho investiga como as diversas estruturas federais resolvem os problemas de ação coletiva inerentes aos processos de negociação para a produção de políticas públicas intertemporais. Com tal propósito, tomam-se as relações intergovernamentais como objeto de análise. As hipóteses centrais da tese defendem que os níveis de conflitividade latente na Pólis estão relacionados com: 1) os graus de insulamento burocrático no processo de construção da Pólis Nacional; 2) as características de seu federalismo fiscal e; 3) a estrutura de seu sistema partidário. A racionalização do sistema federativo será maior quando o sistema partidário, horizontalmente, for capaz de solucionar os problemas de ação coletiva que surgem ao longo do tempo. As hipóteses são comprovadas através do estudo de caso do Brasil e da Argentina. Especificamente, apoia-se na narrativa histórica dos processos de formação de ambos os federalismos e na análise de dados empíricos dos processos de discussão e implementação da Lei de Responsabilidade Fiscal no ano 2000, no Brasil, e dos Pactos Fiscais nos anos de 1992 e 1993, na Argentina

Tudo nos une, nada nos separa, exceto o futebol: um olhar sobre as relações exteriores entre Brasil e Argentina (1978-2002)

O futebol é um esporte que possui diversas dimensões e que pode ter várias utilidades, usos e implicações tanto na vida dos seres humanos quanto nas relações entre os Estados. Ele pode servir à objetivos políticos de um Estado, pode agir como um veículo de propagação de ideias e valores, pode servir como uma ferramenta de propaganda e prestígio internacionais, pode constituir um instrumento para ganhos econômicos, entre muitas outras utilizações possíveis. No caso do Brasil, o futebol também constitui um elemento importante da identidade nacional e também, por vezes, influi na percepção que os brasileiros têm de seus vizinhos argentinos. A imagem que o Brasil tem da Argentina é de um país soberbo, arrogante e não confiável, todos estereótipos que são constantemente veiculados pelas mídias brasileiras desde muitas décadas atrás. Partindo dessas premissas, a presente dissertação tem como objetivo analisar as percepções sobre a Argentina veiculadas na mídia esportiva brasileira, buscando correlacioná-las com as relações exteriores entre Brasil e Argentina. Dessa forma, se buscará averiguar se as mudanças no relacionamento bilateral entre estes, acompanha uma mudança também nas caracterizações e percepções da seleção argentina e de seu país. Para tanto, foram escolhidos quatro períodos que representam momentos-chave da relação bilateral entre esses dois países: as Copas Mundiais de Futebol de 1978, 1982, 1986 e 2002. Cada um desses períodos escolhidos possui um contexto diferente, de maior amizade ou rivalidade entre esses países vizinhos, propiciando uma análise da relação entre as percepções veiculadas na mídia esportiva e a relações exteriores entre Brasil e Argentina em diferentes contextos temporais e políticos.
