The theme Corporate Social Responsibility is relatively recent both in the academic field and in the business practice. Because of the lack of socialization of experiences and precision of concepts, there are gaps regarding the understanding of the subject and, also, how to conduct operations. This study just seeks to investigate such matter, focusing applications of social responsibility in business. It takes, as empirical field, winners of the PSQT - SESI Prize of Quality at Work in Rio Grande do Norte (2002-2007) in order to systematize the various approaches on the issue, aiming to reveal subjective visions and perspectives of the theme. It is characterized as a qualitative study, carried out by structured interview. The universe was composed by 15 companies. It was used analysis of content categorical as an axis for the interpretation of the information. Three approaches guided the analysis: Business Ethics, (normative); Business & Society (contractual); Social Issues Management (strategic). The findings are related in three ways: 1) reasons for the CSR practice; 2) the results obtained; 3) the means of CSR. It was found that the award participation occurs, mostly, linked to SESI invitations, so, as an articulated movement of industrial corporations in Brazil it occurs, also, because of the organizational commitment with the society and the possibility of internal and social growths and because of the importance attributed to the report as an instrument of consultancy. There are no indicators to check impacts of organizational interventions, in spite of the existence of planning for the actions. Social responsibility appears as a tool to reinforce the organizational image and to increase satisfaction of the employees. There is a tendency of large and medium firms to a contractual commitment while the small and the micros firms are on strategic or normative level. Repercussions of innovation adoption and diffusion studies have long been imperative to the success of novel introductions. However, perceptions and deductions of current innovation understandings have been changing over time. The paradigm shift from the goods-dominant (G-D) logic to the service-dominant (S-D) logic potentially makes the distinction between product (goods) innovation and service innovation redundant as the S-D logic lens views all innovations as service innovations (Vargo and Lusch, 2004; 2008; Lusch and Nambisan, 2015). From this perspective, product innovations are in essence service innovations, as goods serve as mere distribution mechanisms to deliver service. Nonetheless, the transition to such a broadened and transcending view of service innovation necessitates concurrently a change in the underlying models used to investigate innovation and its subsequent adoption. The present research addresses this gap by engendering a novel model for the most crucial period of service diffusion within the S-D logic context – the post-initial adoption phase, which demarcates an individual’s behavior after the initial adoption decision of a service. As a wellfounded understanding of service diffusion and the complementary innovation adoption still lingers in its infancy, the current study develops a model based on interdisciplinary domains mapping. Here fore, knowledge of the relatively established viral source domain is mapped to the comparatively undetermined target domain of service innovation adoption. To assess the model and test the importance of the explanatory variables, survey data from 750 respondents of a bank in Northern Germany is scrutinized by means of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that the continuance intention of a customer, actual usage of the service and the customer influencer value all constitute important postinitial adoption behavior that have meaningful implications for a successful service adoption. Second, the four constructs customer influencer value, organizational commitment, perceived usefulness and service customization are evidenced to have a differential impact on a iv customer’s post-initial adoption behavior. Third, this study indicates that post-initial adoption behavior further underlies the influence of a user’s age and besides that is also provoked by the internal and external environments of service adoption. Finally, this research amalgamates the broad view of service innovation by Nambisan and Lusch (2015) with the findings ensuing this enquiry’s model to arrive at a framework that it both, generalizable and practically applicable. Implications for academia and practitioners are captured along with avenues for future research.

This study presents the results of field research of an exploratory descriptive character that seeks to identify the latent dimensions of leadership and organizational commitment as well as to discover the relationship between these two sets of indicators. In the study, 236 respondents were interviewed, 84 being managers or owners and 152 being sales personnel. The research was undertaken in five shopping centers in the municipality of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, and employed two different questionnaires. One of them was developed by Bass and Avolio, 1992 (in NORTHOUSE, 2004), contained 21 indicators of leadership and was completed by store managers. The other instrument, completed by sales personnel in the stores, was developed by Medeiros, Albuquerque, Marques and Siqueira (2003) and contained a total of 28 indicators of organizational commitment. For the analysis of the data, factor analysis techniques and structural equations modeling were used. Using the factor analysis, five dimensions of leadership and seven dimensions of organizational commitment were found, all of which have a theoretical basis for their explanation. Through the structural equations modeling, a relationship was established between leadership and organizational commitment, in which it was possible to observe that certain leadership styles influence in a positive form the commitment of the employee

O projeto realizou-se num contexto onde as organizações mantêm os funcionários conectados, motivados, e satisfeitos pessoal e profissionalmente, onde em companhia dos seus líderes, marcham em busca da tão desejada progressão organizacional, maximizando o lucro e minimizando os custos continuamente. Por este motivo, decidiu-se elaborar o projeto, cujo objetivo é avaliar/examinar duas variáveis, a Satisfação Laboral e o Compromisso Organizacional, destacando uma possível associação entre ambas. O universo em análise é a população da empresa angolana no sector da informação, empresa integrada no mercado angolano, cujo objeto de trabalho passa por recolher, tratar e distribuir a informação, nacional e internacionalmente. A mesma teve a amabilidade que disponibilizar os seus 172 colaboradores como amostra para fazer parte deste projeto. Para o estudo foram utilizadas metodologias quantitativas, aplicando-se dois questionários. O primeiro, de Warr, Cook e Wall referente a Satisfação Laboral, e o segundo, de Allen Meyer, refere-se ao Compromisso Organizacional, ambos previamente aprovados/certificados, e utilizados anteriormente com as referidas variáveis. Relativamente aos resultados, observou-se a existência de um impacto significativo entre a variável Satisfação Laboral e a variável Compromisso Organizacional; tento a primeira uma influência positiva sobre a segunda. Os resultados do estudo concluíram que os valores provenientes da correlação de Pearson (Tabela) demonstram o esperado, isto é, existe uma associação positiva com intensidade moderada, fortes e muito fortes (0.60 a 0.97) entre a variável Satisfação laboral Compromisso laboral.

Considerada um dos elementos basilares para uma cabal e completa prossecução dos objetivos das instituições, a avaliação de desempenho permite valorizar o elemento distintivo das organizações, o ser humano. É neste contexto holístico, centrado na necessidade objetiva de incrementar o empenhamento organizacional, que a Guarda Nacional Republicana procura, através da aplicação do seu Regulamento de Avaliação de Mérito, avaliar o desempenho dos seus militares, no sentido de verificar em que medida estes contribuem para os fins últimos definidos para a instituição. Deste modo, torna-se evidente a importância de, concomitantemente, investigar de que forma este sistema de avaliação é aceite, interiorizado e percebido pelos militares da instituição e compreender se esse sistema de avaliação se assume como uma mais-valia objetiva na promoção do empenho operacional, permitindo o desenvolvimento da carreira dos mais capazes e orientados para a tarefa institucional. Assim, considerando a unicidade que se encontra adjudicada à categoria profissional de Oficiais, únicos elementos do sistema avaliativo que são, cumulativamente, avaliados e avaliadores, a presente pesquisa, através da aplicação de um questionário a uma amostra de 294 Oficiais, procura saber qual é a representação social que estes têm do sistema de avaliação em vigor na Guarda Nacional Republicana. Abstract: Seen as an essential element for a complete and exact prosecution of the institution’s aims, the evaluation of the performance allows the recognition of the organization’s distinctive element, the human being. It’s in this holistic context, centralized around the objective need to increment the organizational commitment, that the Guarda Nacional Republicana tries to evaluate the performance of its militaries, through the application of its Merit Assessment Regulations, as a manner of verifying the way these contribute to the defined aims of the institution. Therefore, it is of evident importance the investigation that, concomitantly, analyses how the evaluation system is accepted, interiorized and understood by the militaries of the institution, along with understanding how much that same evaluation system comes as an objective advantage on the promotion of the operational performance, allowing the development of the career of the more capable and guided for the institutional mission. According to this, and considering the unity that is adjudicated to the professional category of Officials, the only elements of the evaluation system that are both evaluated and evaluators, this research, through the use of a set of questions made to a sample of 294 Officials, tries to discover the social representation that they have of the evaluation system that is now applied in the Guarda Nacional Republicana.

The present study tested a nomological net of work engagement that was derived from its extant research. Two of the main work engagement models that have been presented and empirically tested in the literature, the JD-R model and Kahn’s model, were integrated to test the effects that job features and personal characteristics can have on work engagement through the psychological conditions of meaningfulness, safety, and availability. In this study, safety refers to psychological perceptions of safety and not workplace safety behaviors. The job features that were tested in this model included person-job fit, autonomy, co-worker relations, supervisor support, procedural justice, and interactional justice, while the personal characteristics consisted of self-consciousness, self-efficacy, extraversion, and neuroticism. Thirty-four hypotheses and a conceptual model were tested in order to establish the viability of this nomological net of work engagement in which it was expected that meaningfulness would mediate the relationships between job features and work engagement, safety would mediate the relationships that job features and personal characteristics have with work engagement, and availability (physical, emotional, and cognitive resources) would mediate the relationships that personal characteristics have with work engagement. Furthermore, analyses were run in order to determine the factor structure of work engagement, assess whether or not it exhibits differential validity from organizational commitment and job satisfaction, and confirm that it is positively related to the outcome variable of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The final sample consisted of 500 workers from an online labor market who responded to a questionnaire composed of measures of all constructs included in this study. Findings show that work engagement is best represented as a three-factor construct, composed of vigor, dedication and absorption. Furthermore, support was found for the distinction of work engagement from the related constructs of organizational commitment and job satisfaction. With regard to the proposed model, meaningfulness proved to be the strongest predictor of work engagement. Results show that it partially mediates the relationships that all job features have with work engagement. Safety proved to be a partial mediator of the relationships that autonomy, co-worker relations, supervisor support, procedural justice, interactional justice, and self-efficacy have with work engagement, and fully mediate the relationship between neuroticism and work engagement. Findings also show that availability partially mediates the positive relationships that extraversion and self-efficacy have with work engagement, and fully mediates the negative relationship that neuroticism has with work engagement. Finally, a positive relationship was found between work engagement and OCB. Research and organizational implications are discussed.

En los últimos años se ha evidenciado que las actitudes hacia la organización o hacia la actividad en sí juegan un importante papel en la explicación de la continuidad de los voluntarios en las organizaciones. A pesar de ello, aún no se cuenta con instrumentos de evaluación adecuados que permitan un estudio más exhaustivo de estas actitudes en los voluntarios. En este artículo se presenta la adaptación a este ámbito de algunos instrumentos habitualmente utilizados para estudiar dichas actitudes en personal remunerado. El Organizational Commitment Questionarie (OCQ) de Mowday, Steers y Porter, el Job Involvement de Lodahl y Kejner y el Job Diagnostic Survey de Hackman y Oldham adaptados a la población voluntaria se aplicaron a 419 voluntarios que realizaban muy diferentes actividades. El análisis de algunas de las propiedades psicométricas de estos instrumentos muestra que tanto el Organizational Commitment Questionarie como el Job Diagnostic Survey parecen adaptarse bien a las peculiaridades del voluntariado, en cambio, con el Job Involvement se encuentran resultados que permiten cuestionar su validez y adecuación, por lo que será necesario desarrollar más investigaciones para su rechazo o su afirmación definitiva en el estudio del voluntariado.

Este trabalho de pesquisa tem por tema “Depósito De Medicamentos “Padre Quirino Houdijk”: Análise Do Perfil Autentizótico e o Seu Impacto Nos Colaboradores Da Organização”, e tem por objetivo geral analisar o clima autentizótico da organização e a sua relação com a intenção de turnover, o empenho organizacional, o desempenho profissional e a satisfação na organização Depósito de Medicamentos “Padre Quirino Houdjik” Lda. Após revisão da literatura onde se refletiu sobre as organizações, foram apresentadas as características das organizações autentizóticas, bem como as dimensões de análise deste estudo, por forma a aferir o que, e em que medida, a organização acima referenciada possui um clima autentizótico. Fazem parte dessa escala as dimensões do empenhamento, desempenho, satisfação e intenção de turnover. Numa perspetiva académica este trabalho contribuí para um melhor entendimento dos fatores determinantes do comportamento de gestão das organizações autentizóticas, e ainda para a solidificação do conhecimento na área. Numa perspetiva profissional, este trabalho auxilia os gestores a aplicarem decisões mais legitimadas na perspetiva de criar valor nas organizações sob o prisma da qualidade do ambiente autentizótico. Acresce, tratar-se de um estudo pioneiro em Angola, pelo que pode-se contribuir para o desenvolvimento das organizações na área em estudo.

Abstract Problem Formal Volunteers in volunteer based organizations drop out at a fast pace due to many reasons like lack of interest what they are doing, conflict among volunteers, lack of motivation, job dissatisfaction due to prolonged volunteering etc.  which is causing to improper functioning of these organizations and reaches a point where these volunteer based organizations find it difficult to function properly. The author in this study tries to address this particular issue of this drop out of formal volunteers. Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore the factors which helps in the retention of formal volunteers in a volunteer based organization for a longer period. Method The research in this paper is done in a qualitative way with primary data collected in the form of participant observation and open interview in two voluntary organizations. The collected data is analyzed in content analysis. The secondary data is collected in the form of necessary documents provided by the participating organizations. Results Many factors were found to influence retention of volunteers namely Job satisfaction, Motivation, Public Service Motivation, Organizational Commitment, Mission Attachment, Work load, Relationship with Coworkers, Justice of Organization, Flexible Timing, Training & Orientation.  Conclusions Recommendations to improve retention is mentioned and a future model is also proposed. The result obtained from this research can be generalized to other form of small scale volunteer organizations where the major employees are formal volunteers.

El presente trabajo se realizó con el objetivo de tener una visión completa de las teorías del liderazgo, teniendo de este una concepción como proceso y poder examinar las diversas formas de aplicación en las organizaciones contemporáneas. El tema es enfocado desde la perspectiva organizacional, un mundo igualmente complejo, sin desconocer su importancia en otros ámbitos como la educación, la política o la dirección del estado. Su enfoque tiene que ver con el estudio académico del cual es la culminación y se enmarca dentro de la perspectiva constitucional de la Carta Política Colombiana que reconoce la importancia capital que tienen la actividad económica y la iniciativa privada en la constitución de empresas. Las diversas visiones del liderazgo han sido aplicadas de distintas maneras en las organizaciones contemporáneas y han generado diversos resultados. Hoy, no es posible pensar en una organización que no haya definido su forma de liderazgo y en consecuencia, confluyen en el campo empresarial multitud de teorías, sin que pueda afirmarse que una sola de ellas permita el manejo adecuado y el cumplimiento de los objetivos misionales. Por esta razón se ha llegado a concebir el liderazgo como una función compleja, en un mundo donde las organizaciones mismas se caracterizan no solo por la complejidad de sus acciones y de su conformación, sino también porque esta característica pertenece también al mundo de la globalización. Las organizaciones concebidas como máquinas que en sentido metafórico logran reconstituirse sus estructuras a medida que están en interacción con otras en el mundo globalizado. Adaptarse a las cambiantes circunstancias hace de las organizaciones conglomerados en permanente dinámica y evolución. En este ámbito puede decirse que el liderazgo es también complejo y que es el liderazgo transformacional el que más se acerca al sentido de la complejidad.

La capacidad de gestión del personal se ha convertido en un imperativo para las organizaciones modernas. Por tanto se vienen introduciendo temas como la administración en valores y el engagement de los trabajadores. Sin embargo, la relación entre estos dos aún no ha sido estudiada. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el efecto que tiene el grado de articulación y reconocimiento de los valores organizacionales y personales y organizacionales sobre los niveles de engagement de los empleados. Para esta investigación se utilizó una muestra constituida por 54 trabajadores de una organización del sector salud de la ciudad de Bogotá a quienes les fueron aplicadas dos escalas: el Inventario para Medir la Articulación entre la Persona y la Organización (Inventario APO) y Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES). Como principal resultado se obtuvo que de las tres dimensiones consideradas predictoras del engagement, solamente el reconocimiento de los valores organizacionales tuvo un efecto estadísticamente significativo.

Num contexto empresarial globalizado, a gestão de recursos humanos assume importância crescente. A valorização do capital humano e a preocupação com o compromisso e produtividade das pessoas revelam-se imperativos para a gestão de recursos humanos na contemporaneidade. As políticas e práticas de recursos humanos revelam-se a forma mais eficaz de comprometer as pessoas e, consequentemente, melhorar a performance organizacional. Este trabalho final de mestrado resultou de um estágio realizado num agrupamento complementar de empresa da IBM. Além das actividades desenvolvidas em contexto organizacional, efectuou-se urna descrição de todo o processo de gestão de recursos humanos e analisou-se a relação entre as políticas e práticas de recursos humanos e o compromisso organizacional, nas suas diferentes dimensões. Os resultados deste diagnóstico revelam que os colaboradores apresentam índices elevados de compromisso organizacional para com o ACE. Este compromisso materializa-se no alinhamento dos objectivos de negócio com os objectivos dos colaboradores. A principal causa destes índices elevados de compromisso são as políticas e práticas de recursos humanos. ABSTRACT: ln a globalized business environment, HRM assumes increasing importance. The human capital and concern for the commitment and productivity of people tum out to be imperative for the contemporary human resource management. Policies and practices of human resources prove to be the most effective way to engage people and thus improve organizational performance. This scientific work resulted from one stage held in a complementary group of the IBM Company. Besides the activities in organizations, took place a description of the whole process of resource management and examined the relationship of policies and practices in human resources with organizational commitment, in its various levels. The results of this diagnosis show that employees have high levels of organizational commitment towards the ACE. This commitment is materialized in the alignment of business goals with employee objectives. The main cause of these high levels of commitment are the policies and practices of human resources.
