Discarge compilation from The Global River Discharge (RivDIS) Project

The Global River Discharge (RivDIS) data set contains monthly discharge measurements for 1018 stations located throughout the world. The period of record varies widely from station to station, with a mean of 21.5 years. These data were digitized from published UNESCO archives by Charles Voromarty, Balaze Fekete, and B.A. Tucker of the Complex Systems Research Center (CSRC) at the University of New Hampshire. River discharge is typically measured through the use of a rating curve that relates local water level height to discharge. This rating curve is used to estimate discharge from the observed water level. The rating curves are periodically rechecked and recalibrated through on-site measurement of discharge and river stage.

ベトナムの障害者の生計に関する一考察 -- タインホア省における、取り巻く環境との関係性に関する事例研究を通して

本稿では，ベトナムの障害者の「生計」（「はじめに」参照）の成り立ちについて，タインホア省平野部に位置するひとつの社（農村部における末端の行政単位，行政村）で実施した事例研究に基づいて考察した。障害者問題への取り組みにおいては，「医療モデル（個人モデル）」と「社会モデル」が存在する。本稿ではこの「社会モデル」を参考に，ベトナムの障害者の生計の成り立ちを，当事者と当事者を取り巻く行為主体を含む環境との「関係性（relationship）」という観点から考察した。その主な結論は以下の通りである。今回調査対象とした障害者の生計は，主として調査対象者本人，「非公的主体」（特に家族），「公的主体」によって支えられている。なかでも調査対象者の生計を支えるうえで「非公的主体」（特に家族）の機能・役割が大きく，直接的なケアを含めて幅広く障害者の生計を支えている。他方，「公的主体」は扶助金支給など，物的側面の整備で機能・役割を果たしている。これら主体間の「関係性」は，障害者の生計の質を決める大きな要因となっていると考えられる。

P2P audio/video protocol with global positioning data in real time for mobile devices

In this paper, we propose an original method to geoposition an audio/video stream with multiple emitters that are at the same time receivers of the mixed signal. The obtained method is suitable when a list of positions within a known area is encoded with precision tailored to the visualization capabilities of the target device. Nevertheless, it is easily adaptable to new precision requirements, as well as parameterized data precision. This method extends a previously proposed protocol, without incurring in any performance penalty.
