Entre o direito à ternura e a 'pedagogia do amor': a dimensão (sócio-) afetiva da identidade docente

No mundo globalizado, a complexidade dos processos subjetivos e objetivos envolvidos na construção das identidades singulares e culturais exige pensar como o sujeito da atualidade sofre, experimenta e vivencia a diversidade de influências culturais nas quais está imerso. Neste contexto, escolheu-se, de um lado, a figura do professor como objeto de estudo, para saber como esta complexidade de processos perpassa a construção de sua identidade docente vinculada ao desenvolvimento pessoal, mas também profissional. Por outro lado, a influência dos livros de autoajuda também será objeto de estudo por apresentar um papel cada vez mais presente no preenchimento da perda de autoestima do professor, assim como da “perda de subjetividade”, visando elevar “a moral” dos professores, mas que nos passa a compreensão de uma contribuição dúbia para o exercício da profissão. Assim, nosso olhar volta-se para a questão da construção da identidade desse professor e do exercício de sua profissionalidade, considerando a questão da dimensão afetiva como um dos constructos da autoestima docente e de sua identidade. Tendo como referência esses pressupostos, este trabalho tem como objetivos: (a) averiguar nas políticas públicas de formação de professores como a dimensão (sócio-)afetiva (ou dimensão pessoal) vem sendo tratada nas propostas de formação docente; (b) identificar nos docentes que atuam em escolas da rede de ensino, educação básica, os aspectos constitutivos da dimensão (sócio-)afetiva (ou dimensão pessoal) da identidade do professor; e (c) assinalar nas descrições dos professores respondentes (a partir de fonte documental ou questionário) a existência ou não da literatura de autoajuda no cotidiano docente. Corporalidade brasileira na fabricação da identidade nacional

This paper discusses how, through the creation of Embratur (Brazilian Tourism Company) in 1966, an idealized Brazilian female body was constructed and used to help manufacture a national identity, reinforcing the stereotype of the sexualized Brazilian woman. As it was often associated with sex tourism, this stereotype received much criticism and led to a negative image of Brazil abroad. However, in the 1990s the official tourism lobby softened the “sexy tone” of its discourse, and in 1999 Embratur received an award from the World Tourism Organization for its campaign to help fight the exploitation of children and youth by sexual tourism. In order to better understand how this change in the idealized Brazilian female body unfolded, it is important to deconstruct beauty standards – focusing on those that apply to Brazilian women as seen from abroad – and their relationship to modern consumer culture. Assuming that the cultural analysis of the female body emerges as an important issue in the field of Social Science, the focus on body image can be viewed as a key element in discussions about the construction of national identity.

Memória e identidade nos romances de Milton Hatoum

This article deals with how Milton Hatoum explores aspects of the memory, through the convergence of voices in his four Lusophone novels Tale of a Certain Orient, The Brothers, Ashes of the Amazon and Orphans of Eldorado. A profile of complex characters is constructed through a synthesis of accounts, letters and depositions, as different faces of individuals and society at large are interspersed through memory.

Relações conjugais na literatura de Tostói: análise de duas obras

Existem representações sociais diversas sobre padrões definidores de normalidade que direcionam o erotismo humano, incluindo aí concepções sobre casamento e relacionamento conjugal. A literatura pode ser um modo de evidenciar esses padrões, por isso, este estudo qualitativo, tipo documental, teve por objetivo analisar a temática das relações conjugais em duas obras do autor russo Lev Tolstói: “Felicidade Conjugal” e “A Sonata a Kreutzer”. A partir da análise de conteúdo, os resultados discutem as seguintes categorias: 1) A relação conjugal como sinônimo de posse; 2) O desejo sexual como mercadoria, 3) Enamoramento e Amor e 4) Casamento e Fidelidade e 5) Relacionamento e gênero. Nas duas narrativas as dificuldades nos relacionamentos conjugais são apresentadas de modo a explicitar o enamoramento e o cotidiano tendo como pano de fundo as relações de posse entre as pessoas; a crítica evidente diz respeito ao principio de individuação, que tem como base a propriedade privada, inclusive nos relacionamentos amorosos e sexuais. Conclui-se que a análise dessas obras de Tolstói contribui para refletir sobre como os relacionamentos conjugais se configuram também na atualidade; além disso, ressalta-se que a literatura é um instrumento interessante para problematizar e refletir certos padrões de conduta em sexualidade e que poderia ser usada em propostas intencionais de educação sexual.

A identidade feminina em The Magic Toyshop: estudos de gênero no texto e na tela

Besides producing a vast literary work, Angela Carter (1940-1992) participated of the screenplay’s production for two movies based on her books, The Company of Wolves and The Magic Toyshop. Either through the influence that cinema had in her life or through the very own style of her writing, the relation of the British author with the seventh art is visible. Considering the importance of significations in literary works, this paper proposes a comparative study between Angela Carter’s The Magic Toyshop (1967) and the film of the same title, based on Carter’s novel, directed by David Wheatley and produced by Granada Television, in 1987. Based on Tania Carvalhal’s conception about intertextuality and film theories, the focus of this paper is the gender study, since its ideology is subscribed, represented and reproduced in every cultural practice, including literature and cinema. The characters construction in both cases, especially the female characters, is filled with symbols which are going to bring the film closer to the literary work and contribute to express the critics suggested in the work’s leading: the complaint to the patriarchal system. However, given the different nature of each work, it is necessary to stress that this present comparison doesn’t intend to establish a total identification between novel and film, but to set a dialogue between both, observing the approximation and distance of these two instances.

Psychosocial Identity of the adolescents in boarding school system in the agricultural education Abstract: This article is the result of a research where we try to study and to understand the psychosocial identity of adolescents undergoing boarding. We discussed the issue of boarding school in literature and notes about adolescence in various psychological approaches. Research strategies were interviews, and focus group reports. We conclude that, even with the difficulties students believe that the promising future can only be achieved through technical training, which would enable them not only to acquire a knowledge, but also as a way to gain access to a better-paying job. A better understanding of the surrounding reality allows us to subsidize various professional institutions also adopt boarding as an option to stay.

Ópera e literatura em cena: uma análise da obra juvenil aída, adaptada por han mi-ho e ilustrada por Lucia Sforza

This text’s objective is to present an analysis of Aída, adapted by Han Mi-Ho (2012) and illustrated by Lucia Sforza, from the classic eponymous opera by Giuseppe Verdi. This book is part of the collection Classical music on the scene, published by FTD, which aims to introduce stories of important librettos regarded as classics in the music field to young audiences. More specifically, we intend to verify in this text, with Bakhtinian principles, how the dialogue between Verdi’s work and HanMi-Ho’s is actualized. To achieve these objectives, we will present a reflection of what provides the pleasure in reading. In this text we built the hypothesis that Han-Mi-Ho’s strategy to rescue a classic opera and adapt it in the form of an illustrated narrative for the young reader provides the contact with an attractive and playful text that leads to critical reflection and expands his knowledge through the rescue of the cultural memory. The appropriation of a classic cultural production adapted to the narrative language and targeted to a young audience can act as an appraisal factor in the identity of the reader. Through it, he is able to raise his self-esteem, because he perceives that he is considered as a production receiver, while at the same time he is recognized as the heir of a traditional cultural heritage.
