The current paper aims at analyzing customer retention in Internet provider services. For this study, we sought to understand what are the client's expectations regarding the services available and compare them with management perception in relation to the use of those services. Identifying the coherence level between the two points of view, management and client, it is possible to pinpoint how service is assessed in real conditions. Then, from this point on, a new vision can be implemented on available services, and new customer service strategies aiming at best serving to their expectation and need, can be rethought. The exploratory research was utilized. It was based on case study, and quantitative and qualitative methods were used. The quantitative method was done by applying the cluster technique with six variables of control derived from the six main services, whose definition was done through qualitative survey of the internal management team. Then, an structured interview with 443 clients, from a probabilistic sample of 800 costumers. The total number of active clients of the internet provider is of 10.677. Client perception in relation to services varied, if compared with the four services that were under the managerial metric method, this comparison showed a more positive evaluation than the real use of the service. Thus, it was observed that the value of each service available for the client depends on his/her perception of it, regardless of using or not the offered service. As a result, it is possible to understand which services offered by the company under study effectively contribute to a good client-company relationship, and the upkeep of those clients

This dissertation of Mestrado investigated the performance and quality of web sites. The target of the research is the proposal of an integrated model of evaluation of services of digital information in web educational sites. The universe of the research was constituted by eighteen Brazilian Universities that offer after-graduation courses, in the levels of mestrado and doutorado in the area of Engineering of Production. The adopted methodology was a descriptive and exploratory research, using the technique of systematic comment and focus group, for the collection of the data, using itself changeable independent dependents and, through the application of two instruments of research. The analysis protocol was the instrument adopted for evaluation and attainment of qualitative results. E the analysis grating was applied for evaluation and attainment of the quantitative results. The qualitative results had identified to the lack of standardization of web sites, under the attributes of content, hierarchy of information, design of the colors and letters. It of accessibility for carriers of auditory and visual special necessities was observed inexistence, as well as the lack of convergence of medias and assistivas technologies. The language of the sites also was evaluated and all present Portuguese only language. The general result demonstrated in grafico and tables with classification of the Universities, predominating the Good note As for the quantitative results, analysis method ed was estatistico, in order to get the descriptive and inferencial result between the dependent and independent variaveis. How much a category of analysis of the services of the evaluated sites, was found it props up and the index generality weighed. These results had served of base for ranking of existence or inexistence the Universities, how much of the information of services in its web sites. In analysis inferencial the result of the test of correlation or association of the independent variaveis (level, concept of the CAPES and period of existence of the program) with the caracteristicas, called was gotten categories of services. For this analysis the estatisticos methods had been used: coefficient of Spearman and the Test of Fisher. But the category you discipline of the Program of Mestrado presented significance with variavel independent and concept of the CAPES. Main conclusion of this study it was ausencia of satandardization o how much to the subjective aspects, design, hierarchy of information navigability and content precision and the accessibility inexistence and convergence. How much to the quantitative aspects, the information services offered by web sites of the evaluated Universities, still they do not present a satisfactory and including quality. Absence of strategies, adoption of tools web, techniques of institucional marketing and services that become them more interactive, navigable is perceived and with aggregate value

The new digital technologies have led to widespread use of cloud computing, recognition of the potential of big data analytics, and significant progress in aspects of the Internet of Things, such as home automation, smart cities and grids and digital manufacturing. In addition to closing gaps in respect of the basic necessities of access and usage, now the conditions must be established for using the new platforms and finding ways to participate actively in the creation of content and even new applications and platforms. This message runs through the three chapters of this book. Chapter I presents the main features of the digital revolution, emphasizing that today’s world economy is a digital economy. Chapter II examines the region’s strengths and weaknesses with respect to digital access and consumption. Chapter III reviews the main policy debates and urges countries to take a more proactive approach towards, for example, regulation, network neutrality and combating cybercrime. The conclusion highlights two crucial elements: first, the need to take steps towards a single regional digital market that can compete in a world of global platforms by tapping the benefits of economies of scale and developing network economies; and second, the significance of the next stage of the digital agenda for Latin America and the Caribbean (eLAC2018), which will embody the latest updates to a cooperation strategy that has been in place for over a decade.

The internet as well as all technologies arising from it are transforming and changing socially and economically, the forms of relationships between people and organizations. The environment of digital mobile communication is on the rise, allowing more communication strategies in public relations to be enhanced, in order to allow effective dialogue, relationship and interaction between organizations and their stakeholders. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to analyze digital communications, especially a locative media tool that has been gaining ground in communication activities: Quick Response Code. So in addition to conceptualize and contextualize it, one tried to map out various campaigns, both national and international, who made use of the QR Code, highlighting the strategic role that this tool can have in Integrated PR planning, in order to create visibility and to establish effective and lasting relationships with the brand / organization

This study aims to examine the changes occurring in organizational communication activities with the arrival of the Internet. The intention is to know how companies and their communication professionals have adapted to it and how they are making use of new digital technologies, especially social media. The study also allows know what strategies they are using to reach your target audience on the Internet, including those targeting mobile devices. For this, a survey was conducted with medium to large companies in Bauru (state of São Paulo), to see how it are acting in the online environment and what its perception regarding their image, visibility and positioning on Web

Il mondo dei buoni sconto, in seguito alla recessione che si è verificata tra il 2009 e il 2011, ha vissuto una vertiginosa crescita che lo ha riportato agli apici della sua storia. Tutto il mondo è tornato a parlarne quotidianamente, numerosissime società hanno investito capitali per sfruttare il momento propizio e l’innovazione tecnologica ne ha favorito nuove espressioni. Vivo a stretto contatto con una delle tante società che credono in questo mercato e intendono farne parte. Ho vissuto la nascita di un nuovo progetto di livello nazionale, ho avuto la fortuna di poter osservare da vicino i movimenti della società, le decisioni e i progetti. In vista di un 2011 all’insegna dei buoni sconto, la tesi nasce per fare il punto della situazione in un mercato molto ampio e complesso, in rapida evoluzione, per capirne i principali attori e per studiarne le dinamiche. Vuole fare chiarezza sull’attività della società e studiarne i possibili sviluppi futuri imperniati sull’uso delle tecnologie più evolute.

In questa tesi ci focalizzeremo sul connubio TV ed internet che rivoluzionerà l’erogazione dei servizi verso i telespettatori e di conseguenza il marketing pubblicitario in questo contesto. Partiremo dalla storia della televisione in Italia e dei dispositivi TV per poi analizzare i primi fenomeni di utilizzo televisivo del canale web e la conseguente nascita dei primi social media e servizi di video on demand. La seconda parte di questa tesi farà una larga panoramica sul marketing televisivo ed il web marketing, fino ad arrivare al punto di massima prossimità tra i due canali, ovvero l’advertising correlato ai contenuti video presenti sul web. Nella terza ed ultima parte analizzeremo le prime piattaforme di WebTV e servizi di internet television, per poi focalizzarci sui probabili risvolti e prospettive future sia a livello di fruizione dei contenuti che pubblicitario. Questo fenomeno avrà una netta influenza nel Marketing considerando che dal 1984 la TV è il mezzo che raccoglie la maggior parte degli investimenti pubblicitari ed il web è il media in maggiore ascesa a livello di penetrazione e popolarità negli ultimi anni.

La nostra sfida è stata sviluppare un dispositivo che potesse riunire differenti funzionalità, dalla telepresenza alla visione dei dati on demand, e fosse in grado di portare innovazione nel panorama attuale. Abbiamo quindi deciso di creare un device che potesse svolgere attività d’ispezione e monitoraggio, concentrandoci nel corso dell’implementazione su alcuni possibili campi di utilizzo. Il sistema che abbiamo realizzato è open-source, modulare e dinamico, in grado di rispondere a esigenze diverse e facilmente riadattabile. Il prototipo progettato è in grado di comunicare con uno smartphone, grazie al quale viene guidato dall’utente primario, e di trasmettere in rete i dati rilevati dai diversi sensori integrati. Le informazioni generate sono gestibili attraverso una piattaforma online: il device utilizza il Cloud per storicizzare i dati, rendendoli potenzialmente accessibili a chiunque. Per la configurazione hardware abbiamo usato la kit-board Pi2Go e la piattaforma Raspberry Pi, alle quali abbiamo unito una videocamera e alcuni sensori di prossimità, temperatura e umidità e distanza. È nato così il prototipo InspectorPi, un veicolo telecomandato tramite dispositivo mobile in grado di esplorare ambienti ostili in cui vi sono difficoltà fisiche o ambientali alle quali sovvenire.

National and international studies demonstrate that the number of teenagers using the inter-net increases. But even though they actually do have access from different places to the in-formation and communication pool of the internet, there is evidence that the ways in which teenagers use the net - regarding the scope and frequency in which services are used as well as the preferences for different contents of these services - differ significantly in relation to socio-economic status, education, and gender. The results of the regarding empirical studies may be summarised as such: teenager with low (formal ) education especially use internet services embracing 'entertainment, play and fun' while higher educated teenagers (also) prefer intellectually more demanding and particularly services supplying a greater variety of communicative and informative activities. More generally, pedagogical and sociological studies investigating "digital divide" in a dif-ferentiated and sophisticated way - i.e. not only in terms of differences between those who do have access to the Internet and those who do not - suggest that the internet is no space beyond 'social reality' (e.g. DiMaggio & Hargittai 2001, 2003; Vogelgesang, 2002; Welling, 2003). Different modes of utilisation, that structure the internet as a social space are primarily a specific contextualisation of the latter - and thus, the opportunities and constraints in virtual world of the internet are not less than those in the 'real world' related to unequal distribu-tions of material, social and cultural resources as well as social embeddings of the actors involved. This fact of inequality is also true regarding the outcomes of using the internet. Empirical and theoretical results concerning forms and processes of networking and commu-nity building - i.e. sociability in the internet, as well as the social embeddings of the users which are mediated through the internet - suggest that net based communication and infor-mation processes may entail the resource 'social support'. Thus, with reference to social work and the task of compensating the reproduction of social disadvantages - whether they are medial or not - the ways in which teenagers get access to and utilize net based social sup-port are to be analysed.
