The patient safety is a major concern in health services for its global dimension, as evidenced by the fragility of care processes that predispose an occurrence of adverse events. These events in a neonatal intensive care unit are considered serious and hazardous to lives of newborns. The present study aimed to identify and analyze adverse events in a neonatal intensive care unit based in Trigger Tool. It is an epidemiological, cross-sectional , exploratory, retrospective study with quantitative, descriptive and analytical approach, performed in 2015 at a school hospital. The sample was not probabilistic, involving 116 newborns who met the eligibility criteria. Data collection was performed by retrospective review of medical records, using a specific kind of "trigger" instrument, composed of sentinel events in neonatology, adapted from the American model used by the Vermont-Oxford Network. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The chi-square test for linear trend was used to assess the associations between the variables of interest. The research received a favorable agreement from Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, under number 1055533, and Presentation Certificate for Ethics Assessment 43894515.6.0000.5537. The results show among investigated newborns, 110 experienced at least one adverse event during their stay, with a total of 391 medical records analyzed and rate of 3.37 events per patient. Prevailed the preterm newborns with low birth weight, from mother who had hypertensive diseases during pregnancy and urinary tract infection. The average hospitalization time was 25 days, associated with hospital-acquired infections events (p = 0.01). Among the identified adverse events stood out the events related to thermoregulation disorders (39.0%), with prevalence of hypothermia (26.0%), followed by health care-related infections (16.4%) and blood glucose disorders, hypoglycemia (9.00%) and hyperglycemia (6.64%). Most of these incidents were classified in categories E and F, which represents that there was damage small proportion. Due to these damages come from the care practice with newborn, 78% were classified as avoidable. There was statistically significant association between the variable birth weight with infections (p = 0.006) as well as peri/intraventricular bleeding (p = 0.02), hypoglycemia (p = 0.021), hyperglycemia (p = 0.001), hyperthermia (p = 0.39) and death (p=0,02). Gestational age was associated with seizures (p = 0.002), hyperglycemia (p=0.017) e hyperthermia (p=0.027). The security institution culture was reported by the health workers as intermediate, even though the number of adverse events found in only one unit of service indicates that there is much to be done. Thus the high rate of adverse events identified in the neonatal intensive care unit reinforces the necessity to elaborate specific preventive strategies for this risk environment.

The increasing prevalence of Repetitive Strain Injury / Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (RSI / MSDs) has been explained by changes in the work that has been characterized by setting goals and productivity. This fact does not take into account the psycho-physiological characteristics of workers who become ill as a result of professional activities engaged in and also the adverse conditions in which his work was done. This study aimed to analyze the RSI / MSDs reported in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, 2010-2014 compared to the profile of the population, epidemiological aspects and features of these diseases. It is a descriptive epidemiological cross-sectional study using secondary data obtained in the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) in May 2015 was used as the area covered by the Rio Grande do Norte. Data were collected regarding the grievances of work-related RSI / MSDs, assigned by the Worker's Health Reference Center (CEREST) of the State Health Department. Data were processed with the help of Microsoft Excel® 2013 and presented in tables in absolute frequency (n) and relative frequency (%). The results showed a total of 403 notifications of RSI / MSDs, where the vast majority 72% (290) was recorded in Natal. Regarding the profile of notified employees, 88.59% (357) have aged between 25 and 54 years, 62.78% (253) were female, and in relation to education, 31.51% (127) had high school complete. The most affected occupations were seamstresses (the clothing industry) with 24.97% (97), followed by masons, construction with 3.23% (13) and cashiers with 2.99% (12). About the work situation, 75.93% (306) had a formal contract, however, were sent to Communications Occupational accidents (CAT) only 67% (270) of the cases. Regarding the signs and symptoms, pain and limitation of movement were the most mentioned respectively with 98.01% (395) and 95.04% (383) of notifications. Notifications, 94.29% (380) showed exposure to repetitive movements in their workplace. The most frequent specific diagnoses were synovitis and tenosynovitis (CID F 65), with 30.02% (121) of notifications, followed by back pain (CID F 54) to 19.35% (78) and shoulder injuries (ICD M 75) with 15.88% (64). They were away from work 81.64% (329) of workers reported with RSI / MSDs. Evolution more prevalent among cases was temporary disability with 75.68% (305). It was concluded that the SINAN is a database of potential to characterize the profile of RSI / MSDs, requiring, however, an improvement in the coverage of records and data quality. In addition, this study reflects the need to implement protection strategies to workers by companies, signaling promotion, prevention and rehabilitation aimed at reducing these injuries and the improvement of occupational health indicators in Rio Grande do Norte.

The globalization of markets has confirmed for the processes of change in organizations both in structure and in management. This dynamic was also observed in credit unions because they are financial institutions and are under the rules of the Brazil´s Financial System. Given the context of organizational changes in the financial capital has played the traditional management reform is urgent. In organizations credit unions, given its dual purpose, because in the same organizational environment and capitalism coexist cooperative whose logics are antagonistic, but can live through the balance between instrumental rationality and substantive rationality in credit unions. Based on this concept a new form of management should be thought to be able to accommodate the demand of cooperative, community, government and the market. Hybridization has been observed in management practices` COOPERUFPA into dimensions financial, social and solidarity participation with a trend in paradigmatic form of hybrid management, in that it directly or indirectly affect the management decisions in the credit union. The hybrid management is a trend that has been setting the basis for societal transformation, so that credit unions promote actions of welfare oriented cooperative members and the community around the same time that attend the dynamics of market globalization. These actions, in the context of hybrid management should be implemented by COOPERUFPA from the sociability of the remains and the wide diffusion of solidarity culture between cooperative partnership as a way to recover their participation in trade relations, financial and the social collective developement. For the members of COOPERUFPA financial interest is evidenced in greater relevance for the social interest given its dominant relationship as "mere customer" of the credit union, however, the proactive participation of the life of the cooperative credit union is one of its expectative among of participation of to share power in decisions by general meetings. This passivity`s cooperator of the COOPERUFPA in defending the ideals overshadowed the spread of cooperative principles and values of cooperation among them. Thus his conception for COOPERUFPA in the financial dimension, social and solidarity democracy, performed transversely. The COOPERUFPA for not developing an education policy for the cooperation among its members, contributed to a process of collective alienation of cooperative ideals, since the cooperative do not understand the reality that surrounds them as members of an organization whose mission is to social and financial sustainability of its members

Objetivo: Analisar os teores de íons de fluoreto e o padrão microbiológico encontrado nas águas de abastecimento público dos municípios alagoanos que fluoretam suas águas. Métodos: Estudo transversal descritivo realizado no período de 2012 a 2014, no qual se analisaram todos os laudos emitidos pelo Laboratório Central de Saúde Pública de Alagoas (LACEN-AL) com os resultados da análise da qualidade da água para consumo humano dos onze municípios alagoanos que fluoretaram suas águas, totalizando 3.089 laudos. Avaliouse o número total de amostras enviadas para análise da qualidade da água, a quantidade de amostras em que foi solicitada a análise de fluoreto, teores e variações dos íons de fluoreto e o padrão microbiológico das amostras fluoretadas. Realizou-se a análise descritiva dos dados, obtendo-se as frequências absolutas e relativas percentuais. Resultados: Foram encontradas 429 (83,9%) amostras coletadas no intervalo 0,0-0,5 mgF/L, número considerado abaixo do recomendável, além de grande variação na concentração dos íons de fluoreto e 128 (26,3%) amostras de água fluoretada fora dos padrões de potabilidade. Conclusão: Os dados mostraram uma grande variação e um alto percentual de amostras com baixas concentrações de fluoreto, assim como a necessidade de melhoria da qualidade da água ofertada, de modo a garantir para a população o acesso contínuo à água potável.

Em 2007 e 2010, Portugal aprovou dois planos para a integração dos imigrantes (PII), os quais fizeram uma sistematização das medidas escolhidas para promover a integração dos imigrantes residentes. Estas medidas incidiam sobre uma grande variedade de sectores como o emprego, a habitação, a saúde, a educação, a segurança social ou a justiça, revelando assim o carácter transversal da política de integração. Numa análise geral, verificamos que a maioria das medidas que constituem os PII podem enquadrar-se em dois grandes tipos: a) informar, sensibilizar e formar os imigrantes, e, b) capacitar os sectores da administração pública que têm um maior contacto com as minorias para lidarem com a especificidade da sua condição. Apesar disso, as medidas previstas e a execução que delas foi feita sugerem a ausência de uma intervenção política coerente e articulada por parte do estado português em relação à integração dos imigrantes, prevalecendo, sobretudo, a intenção de mostrar que se está a intervir na área.

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o desenvolvimento vegetativo das plantas do Banco Ativo de Germoplasma do Taperebazeiro da Embrapa Amazônia Oriental, onde se encontram 29 acessos de Spondias mombim procedentes de diversas localidades do Estado do Pará. Foram analisados, no período de cinco anos (2011 a 2015), o crescimento das plantas em altura (m), desenvolvimento do diâmetro do enxerto (cm) e o desenvolvimento do diâmetro do porta-enxerto (cm). Utilizou-se o delineamento inteiramente ao acaso, com 29 tratamentos e cinco repetições. As médias dos acessos foram comparadas pelo método de Scott-Knott. O acesso 14 foi o que apresentou maior desenvolvimento em altura (4,51m), porém sem diferir de outros 13 acessos. Também obteve melhor desempenho quanto ao crescimento transversal (diâmetros do enxerto e porta-enxerto), sem diferir, entretanto, de outros nove acessos. No geral, a relação do desenvolvimento vegetativo dos enxertos com os porta-enxertos foi alta (0,8), indicando boa compatibilidade, apesar de haver diferenças entre os acessos captadas pela análise.

O conteúdo apresentado busca estabelecer as virtudes e os limites da ciência na prática profissional, assumindo que esse conhecimento representa a oportunidade para empregar de forma mais consistente os princípios científicos na gestão da assistência farmacêutica. Inicialmente são apresentadas as principais abordagens em ciência (normativa e não-normativa) e as especificações destes principais métodos de investigação científica. Posteriormente, o conteúdo visa identificar os níveis de leitura necessários para a construção de um projeto de pesquisa, apresentando inclusive as principais bases de busca bibliográfica, antes de iniciar a discussão sobre a definição de “Tema de interesse” e “Problema de pesquisa”, conteúdos previamente necessários para a abordagem seguinte que se refere à estrutura do projeto de pesquisa. Por fim, o conteúdo encerra trabalhando especificamente as técnicas e os métodos qualitativos, além das técnicas de coleta e de análise de informações em pesquisa. Ao final deste Módulo, espera-se que o especializando seja capaz de reconhecer a aplicação do método científico no contexto da gestão da assistência farmacêutica e ampliar o olhar sobre a realidade do seu território, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento do TCC e de sua atividade profissional.

O conceito qualidade de vida tem suscitado pesquisas e cresce a sua utilização nas práticas desenvolvidas pelos servidores da saúde, por equipes profissionais que atuam junto a usuários acometidos por enfermidades diversas. As condições laborais, bem como as relações diretas entre os trabalhadores, influenciam diretamente a qualidade de vida. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a qualidade de vida dos servidores da UBSF – Unidade Básica de Saúde da Família – Aero Rancho IV na cidade de Campo Grande (MS), dando suporte para um futuro trabalho junto a estes profissionais. Quanto aos aspectos metodológicos, foi realizada uma pesquisa quantitativa transversal utilizando a Versão Brasileira do Questionário SF 36 como instrumento de medida e de avaliação da Qualidade de Vida, onde 38 servidores voluntários responderam o questionário na UBSF Aero Rancho IV, representando 73,1% do total de servidores da UBSF. Concluiu-se que os servidores voluntários que participaram desta pesquisa possuem uma boa qualidade de vida, porém se faz necessário uma maior atenção a ergonomia e ao stress destes servidores, situações diretamente relacionadas à Dor e a Saúde Mental. Situações que podem agravar se não houver intervenções junto a estes servidores.

Introdução: A hanseníase é uma doença milenar, de caráter infecto-contagioso que, quando não tratada, pode acarretar incapacidades e deformidades físicas. Ela é considerada um problema de saúde pública em vários países, inclusive no Brasil. A Organização Mundial de Saúde tem como meta eliminá-la até o ano de 2010. Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico dos casos novos de hanseníase no município de Teófilo Otoni/ MG, no período de 2001 a 2008. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico transversal, descritivo, que utilizou dados disponíveis no site do Departamento de Informática do SUS - DATASUS. Resultados: Foram registrados, no período considerado, 716 casos novos da doença, sendo 65,4 do sexo feminino, a faixa etária dos 40 a 59 anos (39) foi a mais afetada, com registro de 39 (5,4) casos de hanseníase em menores de 15 anos. A taxa de incidência apresentou um aumento importante até 2005, com redução a partir de 2006. A classe operacional predominante foi a multibacilar (84,4); a doença afetou mais a raça parda (55,9) e predominou em residentes na zona urbana, com 88,6 dos casos. O principal motivo de saída foi por cura, correspondendo a 86,6 dos casos. Observou-se o predomínio de pacientes com poucos anos de estudo, 42 dos pacientes tinham de 5ª a 8ª série incompleta do ensino fundamental. Conclusões: O estudo permitiu identificar que a incidência da hanseníase no município de Teófilo Otoni/ MG caminha para eliminação e os achados do perfil epidemiológico são preocupantes, considerando-se que são de faixa etária economicamente ativa e potencialmente, os principais disseminadores da doença.

No Brasil, o câncer do colo uterino é a segunda neoplasia e a quarta causa de mortalidade entre as mulheres, podendo ser evitado através da detecção e tratamento precoces. O esfregaço cérvico-vaginal, ainda é o mais eficaz para realizar o rastreamento. O objetivo do estudo foi analisar a concordância diagnóstica entre o esfregaço cérvico-vaginal e o resultado da biópsia do colo uterino correspondente. Realizou-se um estudo epidemiológico de carácter descritivo, transversal e retrospectivo, de abordagem quantitativa, com 5.779 esfregaços cérvico-vaginais, realizados numa unidade básica de saúde de Uberlândia, de janeiro de 2011 a outubro de 2012. Foram 436 casos positivos e desses, 173 casos foram biopsiados. A concordância diagnóstica global foi de 48% e para a categoria de lesão escamosa intraepitelial de alto grau (NIC II e III) foi de 62%. Portanto, fazem-se necessários o permanente controle de qualidade interno e externo dos laboratórios e a educação continuada dos profissionais da saúde para o maior sucesso dos programas de rastreamento.
