Prevalência das más oclusões em crianças na clínica de graduação da Faculdade de Odontologia de Araraquara - UNESP

The aim of this study was to evaluate in dental models the occlusal relationship of children treated or in orthodontic treatment of the Undergraduate Clinic of Araraquara Dental School – UNESP. It was analyzed the vertical, anteroposterior and transversal relationships of the casts models of 388 children by two previous calibrated examiners. The results were analyzed by descriptive statistics and it was found higher prevalence of occlusal deviations in the vertical direction, followed by the sagital dimension and in lower prevalence of the transverse direction.

Marcos legais para os cursos de graduação em pedagogia no Brasil: análise das atribuições do pedagogo

The current National Curricular Guidelines sets as parameters for Education’s programs the teaching and professional training in order to allow the realization of activities of school tutoring (management) and educational research. Our objective was to analyze educators’ attributions since 1930. For that, we made an analysis of the main laws that guided the activities of these professionals. We tried to demonstrate how the educator became from an “old” school teacher (1854-1880) to a primary education professor (end of XIX and XX centuries) and, nowadays, in a “make it all” in schools and in the administrative tasks into the schools. We hope, with this analysis, to contribute to the definition of attributions of the educator in current days and to offer subsidies for a better thinking of the process to students of Education in Brasil, helping in the tutoring of those future professionals.

This work aimed to point out the major changes in post-graduation and their implications on professor's well-being. For this proposal, exploratory research was carried out using books and periodicals, indexed in SciELO and Web of Science. We tried to emphasize research published in the last decade. The subject is difficult to bound, as the definition of quality of life itself depends on geographical and cultural aspects. Thus, the main aspects that surround this controversial issue were selected, with no claim to exhaust it. It is pretty clean that university managers believe that the university must meet the productivist requirements. Therefore, university and undergraduate, which in the recent past were spaces of thinking, became a series production space. In this scenario it is not enough pure research and long-term, but the rapid and direct research. Also, some studies already show the relationship between the work of public universities and health issues. It is believed that the deleterious relationship between the productivist pressure and the teacher's quality of life will be quite evident in a near future

A percepção dos alunos sobre a avaliação da aprendizagem no Curso de Graduação em Ciências Biológicas

A avaliação educacional pode ser compreendida como um campo da educação e, portanto, marcado por tensões, contradições, interesses, concepções de mundo, de homem, de sociedade e educação. Para alguns estudiosos desta temática, a avaliação transpõe as salas de aulas assumindo também uma posição central na organização e gestão do trabalho pedagógico e de políticas públicas para a educação, além de tornar-se um excelente instrumento de controle dos sujeitos que se encontram na tessitura do processo educativo. Este trabalho intentou traçar algumas percepções sobre a avaliação da aprendizagem no Curso de Graduação em Ciências Biológicas da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) - Campus de Rio Claro, através da ótica dos alunos dos anos finais deste Curso. Nesse sentido, buscou-se desenvolver um estudo qualitativo a partir de entrevistas semiestruturada, objetivando identificar as principais concepções e práticas sobre a avaliação da aprendizagem no curso. Os relatos indicam que a prática avaliativa, na maioria dos casos, vem adquirindo fortemente uma função somativa e classificatória, centralizada na memorização e reprodução de informações, ocorrendo quase sempre de maneira externa ao aluno e focada nos resultados da aprendizagem (produto). Pode-se dizer que a nota tem servido ora para ocultar e manter as relações hierárquicas, ora para selecionar aqueles que vão gozar de um incentivo financeiro para o desenvolvimento de outras experiências acadêmicas, resguardando uma lógica meritocrática e seletiva. De modo geral, a prática avaliativa pouco tem contribuído para a (re)organização do trabalho pedagógico pelo professor e para a superação das dificuldades e incompreensões dos alunos. Avaliação dos alunos do programa de pós-graduação em odontologia da UNESP (Araçatuba) na elaboração e execução de programas de saúde bucal em seus municípios

The design of oral health has as its most important to bring knowledge, prevention and treatment for the population of municipalities that have this important means of promoting health in general. These programs are based on socio-educational projects, such as tooth brushing, educational lectures, projects, preventive and, fluoride use, application of sealants in pits and even the prevention of oral cancer. In the area of healing, the centers of dental specialties (CEO) associated with the PSF are responsible for implementing treatment of periodontal diseases, trauma, restoration of teeth affected by dental caries, prosthesis design for functional rehabilitation of the patient, biopsies of oral lesions , among other specialties. This study aims to evaluate the students of the Graduate Program in Dentistry, Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho, Campus de Araçatuba, in order to coordinate a program to promote health in their communities. The result based on parameters in the OMS showed that the majority of graduate students of the Faculty of Dentistry Araçatuba acquired knowledge to a reasonable oral health program in their city as a coordinator.

O renascer da pós-graduação em poéticas visuais na UNESP, campus de Bauru: contribuição valiosa para os cursos de artes

The postgraduation program in Visual Poetics, Master level, to be started in 2011 at the faculty of Architecture, Arts and Communication of the state university of São Paulo "Julio de Mesquita Filho"- Bauru Campus, arises strong and well structured contributing to the strengthening of Arts courses. It is noteworthy that the Visual Poetics area has graduated in its previously existing program, more than 30 (Thirty) masters and 8 (eight) doctors. They are currently linked to state and federal universities of Sao Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul . Ricardo Nicola is Post-Doctor by IES since 2007: University of Toronto, Canada, is presented as mentor and coordinator of the renaissance process of masters program in Visual Poetics.Nelyse Apparecida Malro Salzedas , graduated as a Professor in 1993 at the same University, she has contributed significantly to the Program implementation and will be vice-coordinator of the project.

Presentation the investigative process, market over demands from the perspective of organizational communication, to try to understand the multidimensional abilities that the course should provide. Finally, it establishes some modules and thematic for the course, intending to reflect the diversity of communicative functions, which are in the highest capacity of human beings, that is to create your reality and interfere in the direction of society.
