Analisaremos nesta pesquisa as linhas do naturalismo proposto por Marques de Carvalho no romance O Pagé, que veio à público como folhetim pelo periódico A República em janeiro de 1887, tendo por subtítulo a expressão “romance naturalista.” Que naturalismo era esse? Quem era Marques de Carvalho antes da publicação de seu mais conhecido romance Hortência? Com esses questionamentos, seguiremos a trilha do intelectual por trás dos periódicos onde atuou como redator, assim como, os debates e conflitos em que se envolveu. Adentraremos o campo literário paraense do final do Oitocentos, para, a partir das disputas em seu interior, enxergarmos as forças de legitimação de um modo de pensar. Nesse caso, a visão de mundo de Marques de Carvalho.

O conjunto de pesquisas envolvidas neste trabalho procurou investigar a escola inclusiva enquanto contexto de desenvolvimento, através de quatro estudos. Esses estudos foram direcionados para discussão dos fatores de risco ou proteção presentes no ambiente escolar inclusivo. O primeiro estudo investigou as interações entre uma aluna com deficiência visual e seus colegas em uma sala de aula inclusiva, com o objetivo de averiguar como se estabelecem as relações de amizade neste contexto de desenvolvimento; o segundo estudo procurou compreender a visão de estudantes com deficiências sobre sua rede de apoio social; o terceiro estudo objetivou analisar a visão de professores e técnicos educacionais sobre a inclusão escolar de estudantes com deficiências em salas de aula comuns; e o quarto estudo realizou uma investigação sobre a concepção de mães de estudantes com deficiências acerca da escola inclusiva com o objetivo de analisar como os fatores de proteção e risco se configuram dentro do contexto escolar inclusivo. O modelo bioecológico do desenvolvimento humano proposto por Bronfenbrenner é apresentado enquanto uma base teórica desta pesquisa que foi efetivada através da observação naturalística e da inserção ecológica da pesquisadora no ambiente da pesquisa. Os resultados das pesquisas revelaram questões importantes e polêmicas sobre o processo de inclusão educacional.

This monograph seeks to provide an exposition and theoretical examination of Ciência da Carne (“Science of the Flesh”), a series of artworks in woodcut printing executed after research into the artistic aspects of Human Anatomy, done throughout the Graduate Course in Visual Arts at UNESP’s Art Institute. Traditional procedures of naturalistic representation of the human figure often adopt the scientific basis of Anatomy as a means of interpreting the surface contours of the body from its inside out. The historical connection between Anatomy and Art, however, is not merely accidental, for it is integral to the development of both disciplines, which find themselves deeply related in the human impulse for self-discovery and reinvention of its own likeness. The series of artworks collected in Ciência da Carne explores, through the particular graphical language provided by woodcut printing, abstract arrangements of isolated anatomical elements, at once removed from the context of traditional figurative representation and from the didactic goals of medical illustration.

In the present investigation we studied the feeding habits of the fishes associated with aquatic macrophytes in the Rosana Reservoir, southeastern Brazil. Twenty fish species were collected during four field trips, regularly distributed across the dry and wet seasons. Focal snorkeling observations of the fishes were made over a total of six hours. Nine species were present in abundances of more than 1% and, therefore, had their feeding habits analyzed. Hemigrammus marginatus, Roeboides paranensis, Hyphessobrycon eques, Astyanax altiparanae, Serrasalmus spilopleura, and Bryconamericus stramineus were predominantly invertivores, with predominance of aquatic insects (Diptera, Ephemeroptera, and Trichoptera immatures) among their food items. The predominantly algivores were Apareiodon affinis, Serrapinnus notomelas, and Satanoperca pappaterra, with high frequency of filamentous blue-green algae, diatoms, clorophyts, and periderm. The different microhabitat exploitation plus diet composition suggests partitioning of resources and absence of food competition among the most representative fish species in the studied community, indicating the importance of the naturalistic approach to fish ecology studies.

This article brings a discussion of the implications of religious diversity on science education as well as on teacher education. To orientate our discussion, we adopt as framework the ideas of German philosopher Jürgen Habermas on the political relationship that should govern relations between a naturalistic culture and different religious cultures. We also present a research with future teachers of physics, which aimed at investigating the positions taken by the future teachers towards non scientific models presented by students about the origins of the universe. We tried to identify, especially, the expectation of these future teachers would demonstrated about the contributing of the lifting of such models in class by students. We were able to find that most of them believe that the manifestation of these ideas could bring contributions to the discussion in the classroom. We also found that teaching practices based on communication, questioning and dialogue of the undergraduate course done by the prospective teachers has generated an ownership by the undergraduates of these practices and their potential application in other situations and other discussions, including inter-religious.

Access to electricity, granting relative independence of human activity on the dark phase of the day, has been pointed out as an important cause for the absence of seasonal changes in the daily rhythms of humans living in urban areas. Featuring a population of adult Guarani natives living without access to electricity, the present naturalistic study was designed to explore possible effects of different natural photoperiods and temperature on human circadian rhythms. We compared time series of wrist temperature (WT) and motor activity in winter and summer, respectively, 01 24 individuals aged 18 to 80. Twenty-four-hour rhythms of WT showed lower amplitudes and higher mean levels in summer, with no significant seasonal differences in acrophase. In contrast, rest-activity (RA) rhythms exhibited a significantly later rest on-and offset in summer, but no seasonal changes in duration, amplitude and mean level. We furthermore identified a phase advance of both the WT acrophase and rest onset with increasing age of the individuals. We concluded that in our study the effect of different seasons was reflected in the amplitude and mean level of the WT rhythm, as well the onset of nighttime rest, which was delayed in summer. Plakate begleiten den Film auch in Deutschland schon seit seinen Anfängen 1895/96. Filmplakate sollen Filminhalte in einem grafischen Kürzel zusammenfassen. Aufraggeber ist zumeist der Filmverleih bzw. die Filmgesellschaft, seltener einzelne Kinos. Filmplakate sind im wesentlichen bildlich-figürlich bestimmt, viele illustrieren auf naive Art eine Szene des Films, verbunden mit der Darstellung der Schauspieler. Die Grafiker können sich oft lediglich anhand von Inhaltsangaben und Fotos einen Eindruck von der zu bewerbenden Sache verschaffen. Zunächst werben sie für Programme, weniger für einzelne Filme. Das ändert sich mit der zunehmenden Länge der Produktionen. Neben zahlreichen anonymen Zeichnern werden schon bald auch namhafte Plakatkünstler mit Filmplakaten beschäftigt, wie Klinger, Deutsch, Kainer, Hohlwein, Erdt, die jeweils verschiedene Plakatauffassungen vertreten. Plakate für Asta Nielsen oder Henny Porten dokumentieren frühe Stardarstellungen, diejenigen für frühe Detektivfilme stehen für ein Genre. Mit dem Namen Fenneker steht das expressionistische Filmplakat um 1920 in Verbindung. Grafiker wie Matejko; Leonard, oder Kupfer-Sachs arbeiten eher naturalistisch. Konstruktivistische Plakate entwirf Tschichold. 1927 für den Münchener „Phoebus-Palast“. Zwischen 1930 und 1945 ist der Plakatstil des Ufa-Werbedienstes maßgebend. Abweichend davon kann Pewas Fotomontageplakate gestalten.. Sehr früh beginnt die Zensur sich der Filmplakate anzunehmen. Zunächst in unterschiedlichen Rechtstiteln enthalten, wird die Plakatzensur 1920 im „Reichslichtspielgesetz“ verankert.
