Evaluation of the Western Australian Department of Health telehealth project

In 1999, the Department of Health in Western Australia began a telehealth project, which finished in 2004. The 75 videoconferencing sites funded by the project were part of a total state-wide videoconference network of 104 sites. During the period from January 2002 to December 2003, a total of 3266 consultations, case reviews and patient education sessions took place. Clinical use grew to 30% of all telehealth activity. Educational use was approximately 40% (1416 sessions) and management use was about 30% (1031 sessions). The average overhead cost per telehealth session across all regions and usage types was $A192. Meaningful comparisons of the results of the present study with other public health providers were difficult, because many of the available Websites on telehealth were out of date. Despite the successful use of telehealth to deliver clinical services in Western Australia, sustaining the effort in the post-project phase will present significant challenges.

This report has been prepared to provide a succinct documentation of the results of an intensive "finding" as to the requirement for an Iowa Department of Transportation, the recommended general organizational characteristics, and the implementation process requisite to instituting an Iowa Department of Transportation. This report specifies, in summary, the systematic procedure employed in the analysis, followed by a presentation of the fundamental concepts associated with a department of transportation and documentation of the "need" for a state department of transportation. The exhibition of works by Sir Wilfred Grenfell College's graduating Class in visual arts constitutes the culmination of four years of intensive study and practice. our students are trained in the fundamentals of their craft and exposed tio a variety of media and styles ranging from the traditional to the avant garde. But their education has more to do with the exploration and development of their creativity, the enlargement of their capacity to see, and their mastery of the vocabulary of sight, enabling them to discover, uncover and represent. Each of the students ha sustained and nurtured an individual and unique quest over the four years of this rigorous programme.

Iowa Department of Public Health Office of Minority and Multicultural Health Strategic Plan 2012 to 2017, February 19, 2013

The Iowa Department of Public Health's Office of Multicultural Health invited 21 representatives, key informants throughout the State of Iowa and five state personnel to help chart a strategic map for the OMH staff and it constituents to travel during the next 3-5 years, as the office strengthens its infrastructure and continues to meet its mission. This two day strategic planning session brought forth the consensus of maintaining the four major function areas held within the 2007 to 2011 strategic plan. Those four areas are: education, advocacy, data and training and development. 2

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF ARTS IN EDUCATION RESEARCH PROJECT

Since 1999, the South Carolina Arts Commission, the South Carolina Department of Education, and later the Arts in Basic Curriculum Project (ABC) have co-sponsored the Arts Education Research Project to track the progress and effects of arts education reform efforts in various ABC schools across the state. This report addresses the specific purposes of the Arts Education Research Project which were to (a) document the arts instruction in place prior to reform implementation, (b) determine the effects of increased, modified, or integrated arts instruction, and (c) identify potential influences that promote, inhibit, or sustain changes in schools that implemented arts reform.
