L’esport a la República Democràtica Alemanya: èxits i decadència d'una estrella fugaç

Aquest treball es va realitzar per a l’assignatura Campus “Olimpisme, Esport i Societat” durant el curs 1996-97 i es defineix com un resum de victòries, de registres importants i també d'escàndols i d'impressions esteses arreu del món durant els anys de domini de "valquíries" i de velocistes amb les sigles DDR al casc o al pit.

De Chamonix a Salt Lake city: evolución del concepto de villa olímpica en los Juegos de invierno

Esta ponencia fue presentada en el International Symposium on Olympic Villages, Museo Olímpico, Lausana, Suiza. Su objetivo es exponer la evolución histórica del concepto de villa olímpica en los Juegos de Invierno y reflexionar sobre aquello en lo que se podría convertir. Esta evolución histórica puede dividirse en tres grandes períodos en que se basa este plan: antes de 1960, de 1964 a 1984 y a partir de 1988.

The Cultural Olympiad of Barcelona in 1992: Good points and bad points. Lessons for the Future

This text was presented at the Symposium “Olympic Arts and Culture Festivals: Recent Experiences and Future Design”, held in Chicago on the 23-24 June 2008. It provides with an analysis of good and bad points of the Cultural Olympiad of Barcelona’92 in order to discover, from that past experience, any lessons for future Cultural Olympiads and Olympic Movement cultural policy in general, as well as to rethink, in a critical way, Catalan cultural policies.

La Olimpiada Cultural de Barcelona en 1992: luces y sombras. Lecciones para el futuro

Este texto fue presentado en el Simposio “Olympic Arts and Culture Festivals: Recent Experiences and Future Design”, celebrado en Chicago del 23 al 24 de junio de 2008. Proporciona un análisis de las luces y sombras de la Olimpiada Cultural de Barcelona’92 con el fin de descubrir, a partir de esa experiencia previa, cualquier lección para las Olimpíadas Culturales futuras y la política cultural del movimiento olímpico en general, así como repensar, de una manera crítica, las políticas culturales catalanas.

Aquest treball es va realitzar per a l’assignatura Campus “Olimpisme, Esport i Societat” durant el curs 1996-97. En ell es proporcionen els principis de la institució Special Olympics, i es descriu l’organització de la cinquena edició dels Jocs Special Olympics de Catalunya que van tenir lloc a Reus, el 1996.

Olympic education experiences: the sponsorship in the promotion of Olympic values

This text was presented at the 16th International Seminar on Olympic Studies for Postgraduate Students that was organised by the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia, from 1st to 30th July 2008. First here are reported, fundamental concepts on Olympics such as the Olympic values and the educational mandate of Pierre de Coubertin, the Olympic brand and symbols, the sponsorship and the Olympic partner programme. Then there is a chapter regarding the Top sponsors educational initiatives on Olympic values, and specially, describing the Olympic sponsors involvement in education and Top sponsors educational activities. And finally, the author analyses the sponsorship role in the promotion of Olympic Values Education, providing conclusions, comments on future and perspectives and some recommendations.

The new role of the mass media in the construction of sport and Olympic values

This paper was presented in the International Symposium on Toward the Creation of New-Sport Cultures, undertaken in Osaka, Japan, in January 28, 1996. The main purpose is to make an interpretation of the cultural values of sport and Olympism in contemporary society, considering the enormous influence that the media have on them.

El nou paper dels mitjans de comunicació de masses en la construcció dels valors olímpics i de l’esport

Aquesta comunicació es va presentar al &i&Simpòsium internacional sobre la creació de cultures del nou esport&/i&, portat a terme a Osaka, Japó, el 28 de gener, de 1996. El seu propòsit principal és fer una interpretació dels valors culturals de l'esport i de l'olimpisme a la societat contemporània, tot tenint en compte la gran influència que reben aquests per part dels mitjans de comunicació.

Olympic Games as showcase

In the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, besides the country-versus-country typical showdown in the backdrop of Olympics, and the economic and political impulses for the host city, there was a third factor complicating the celebration: rivalry between the Catalan hosts and the Spanish state. By guiding the development of and eventual Olympic projection of national identity, Catalan and Spanish politicians hoped to create a resounding rallying point around which they could unite disparate individuals. The text is made up of: an introduction, five paragraphs on the different political perspective, conclusions, a commentary on the tallying of score and a note section with bibliographical references.

Documento publicado en 1992 por el CEO-UAB como parte de la colección &i&Working Papers&/i& que incluye la historia de los pictogramas de los distintos Juegos Olímpicos, de Invierno y de Verano, desde Tokio '64, cuando se inicia su diseño sistemático, hasta Barcelona '92, cuando los recursos gráficos se integran en un proceso único de información y de representación de la identidad olímpica y de la cultura de la ciudad sede.

The Cultural Olympiad: objectives, programme and development

Working paper analysing the Cultural Olympiad of Barcelona in 1992. This was published as a chapter of the book entitled "Olympic Games, media and cultural exchanges: the experience of the last four summer Olympic Games" and edited by M. Ladrón de Guevara and M. Bardají.

Creación de un modelo de esponsorización dirigido al equipo de baloncesto de la Universitat Abat Oliba CEU

Aquest treball analitza el concepte d’esponsorització en l'esport actual, i més concretament en el bàsquet català. Es pretén crear un model d'actuació per a poder fer front a les despeses que comporta tenir un equip de bàsquet en la Universitat Abat Oliba CEU de Barcelona, en la categoria Primera Catalana. Per a obtenir aquesta quantitat, es realitzarà un pla d’esponsorització real, analitzant les diferents fases i característiques de cadascuna d'elles. L'objectiu del present treball és desenvolupar un projecte on s'estudien i expliquen totes les premisses que cal complir per dur a terme amb èxit aquest pla d'actuació.

Indicadors de l'estructura sòcio-afectiva en el rendiment dels esports col·lectius

The present work carries out an analysis about which elements of the socioaffective structure take more importance for different male team sports coaches. Data obtaining carries out by using a survey applied directly by interview. In the first part, the interviewed coaches were asked to point out the indicators of the stated structure they considered more important, using a previous selection. In the second part, using a qualitative technique, the interviewed coaches were asked to explain own strategies to work, to control or to evaluate the indicators they pointed out as important in the first part. Analysis show that most of the coaches gave great importance to this structure (80% of the values are over 4 points on a top 5 points scale), and all of them had their own strategies to deal with the structure in their sports.
