Pressure data analysis of formula one racing engines

The measured time-history of the cylinder pressure is the principal diagnostic in the analysis of processes within the combustion chamber. This paper defines, implements and tests a pressure analysis algorithm for a Formula One racing engine in MATLAB1. Evaluation of the software on real data is presented. Atom probe tomography of SRAM transistors: Specimen preparation methods and analysis

Different FIB-based sample preparation methods for atom probe analysis of transistors have been proposed and discussed. A special procedure, involving device deprocessing, has been used to analyze by APT a sub-30 nm transistor extracted from a SRAM device. The analysis provides three dimensional compositions of Ni-silicide contact, metal gate and high-k oxide of the transistor gate. © 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Data analysis for pump-probe experiment with femtosecond pulses

Various analytical physical models are presented to extract the photodissociation dynamics information from the data obtained in the femtosecond pump-probe experiment. The single- and double-component models are employed to explain the single- and double-channel dissociation of parent molecules. Another single-component model for fragment dissociation or deexcitation is also presented. All cases are explanatorily demonstrated on the pump-probe experimental data.

APPLICATION OF THE MOMENT METHODS TO ANALYSIS OF X-RAY-DIFFRACTION LINE-PROFILE FOR PA1010-BMI SYSTEM

Pure X-ray diffraction profiles have been analysed for polyamide 1010 and PA1O1O-BMI system by means of multipeak fitting resolution of X-ray diffraction. The methods of variance and fourth moment have been applied to determine the particle size and strain values for the paracrystalline materials. The results indicated that both variance and fourth moment of X-ray diffraction line profile yielded approximately the same values of the particle size and the strain. The particle sizes of (100) reflection have been found to decrease with increasing BMI content, whereas the strain values increased.
