Televisão, família e escola: fontes informativas sobre deficiências

Children learn very early which groups are stigmatized and how they should be treated. They learn formally and informally, by listening and watching people and the world around them. The construction of children's representations about disabilities starts with access to information on the subject, which may come from their caregivers, media, school etc. This work is part of a monograph that examined the effects of an educational program involving strategies for non-disabled children on conceptions and attitudes concerning mental disability. This paper refers to the initial characterization of these children and their access to information on disability, and to identifying previous access, source and memory of such information. The study included 40 children from two classrooms of the first grade of a public school in Marília, SP. The children were interviewed using an individual semi structured questionnaire. Many children said they did not have access to information on the subject. Among those who had previous access to the information, the television was the most frequent source of information, and characteristics of the deficiencies, relations with diseases and encouragement of solidarity were among the contents reminded by them. The data emphasize the need for the media to expand concerns with the content presented to the public, for parents and teachers to become more involved with the issue, seeking to be informed and revise their own conceptions, in order to transform the subject into something that is part of daily school and family environment.

Televisão e mídias digitais na América Latina: um cenário em construção

The text is the initial result of a project called Global iTV, Interactive and systems Hybrid TV: a new advanced scheme for future services and applications in a global environment, contemplated by Call MCTI / CNPq 13/2012 – EUBrazil Cooperation Program in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) which has as its central theme the development of a standard that enables interoperability between the various digital TV systems operating jointly, exchanging and using information. Thus, using bibliographical and documentary research, the article goes on to demonstrate how this perspective panorama is drawing from the advent of digital television and the use of technology in Latin America, seeking to identify similarities, differences, problems and solutions arising from the use and consumption of digitizing television signal in the region. The results demonstrate the importance of media convergence, but point out that there are still large sections of the population on the margin of the Digital Society and the benefits provided by digital networks and that poverty and poor education are important contributions to this scenario.

In Brazil, the discussion about thereplacement of analog television signals to digitaland its impact on society, in media companies andgovernment began in the 90s. Embryonic steps towardsdigitalisation of the television signal ground were thegovernment of Fernando Collor de Mello (1990-1992),with advances during the government of FernandoHenrique Cardoso (1994-2001) and in the governmentof Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (2002). The academy startsthe discussion in 1996. This article aims to bring to lightthe results obtained from the survey Digital television:a historical perspective , which received the supportof CNPq for funding of two scholarships for scientifi cinitiation between August 2008 and July 2009. Theproject sought to identify what has been published onthe subject in the fi eld of Social Sciences and from threemacrodescritores (information management, publicpolicy and value chain), providing the li ing of a virtualcollection Zotero bibliographic innovative platform.The mapping serves to show the growing interest anddevelopment of research in the country during theperiod - when the number jumped to three works inthe fi rst seven years (1995-2001) to 198 in the last sevenyears (2002-2008). The research sought to identify themajor authors and works related to digital televisionand published in the country. The survey took intoaccount books, articles published in books, journals,Annals of Compós and Intercom, and dissertations andtheses. Data and refl ections on the survey are containedin this communication.

Modelo de aplicação interativa para middleware Ginga de Televisão Digital: ambiente virtual de aprendizagem para Educação a Distância

O desenvolvimento de um modelo de aplicação interativa para Televisão Digital sobre a plataforma do middleware Ginga, do SBTVD, ainda em processo, é o tema deste artigo. A referida aplicação se traduz em um Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem, para Educação a Distância, aplicativo destinado a acesso on demand, fora da grade de programação síncrona da emissora, em TV Digital dotada de set top box, ou conversor digital, embarcado com Ginga NCL. A metodologia utilizada na construção deste produto da pesquisa de Mestrado (que também abrange uma monografia na área de Comunicação) integra três metodologias: um modelo de Design Instrucional (ou Educacional) adequado aos recursos da TV Digital; técnicas de Usabilidade e Arquitetura da Informação para a construção de um protótipo interativo; e um modelo de Desenvolvimento de Software de ciclo de vida ágil baseado em Prototipagem Evolutiva, a fim de se gerar um modelo de aplicação interativa para criação de conteúdos instrucionais focados em EaD através da mídia TV Digital.

The digital television system adopted by Brazil allows the signal reception of broadcast TV on mobile devices and laptops. This paper aims to analyze issues related to the transmission of free and open TV signals for reception in portable and mobile devices enabled by 1SEG system. We will evaluate the behavior of the user, tv schedule, prime time and experiences in Japan.

Interatividade e produção discursiva no rádio e na televisão: a participação da audiência e a conformação da mensagem informativa

The study investigates the constitution of the informational message in production processes in interactive media and television, from situations in which contents are conveyed performed by the audience. The work shows that the declared strategies employed by listeners and viewers actualize itself in a series of controls and discursive constraints resulting from the dynamics in the means of production and the relationship established between broadcaster/program and its audience. Moreover, it is clear that, despite attempts to produce an effect independent of viewer and listener regarding your participation and opinion, there is a direction and a restriction on the possibilities of expression rather than technical, operational, are of discursive order.

Televisão Digital: novos meios, novas narrativas

Grandes mudanças de ordem tecnológica e social colaboraram para a transformação na forma de comunicação do homem ao longo da história, que compartilha informações e transforma conceitos através de novos meios e novas narrativas, construindo e reconstruindo informações. O compartilhamento desses novos conteúdos vem colaborar na divulgação de diversidades culturais e regionais de todo o país fazendo jus a um dos objetivos da televisão digital que é a democratização da informação e do conhecimento.

O conceito da televisão pública para a rede nacional de televisão pública digital

A Rede Nacional de Televisão Pública Digital3 (RNTPD), antes prevista para ser implantada por meio de um Operador de Rede Público, passa agora a ser estudada para ser efetivada por meio da malha de fibra óptica da Telebrás (banda larga), empresa que apresentou projeto com possibilidade de redução em 50% dos gastos da implantação da rede. Com a previsão da parceria, a meta da implantação da rede deve atingir cerca 4,3 mil cidades em quatro anos, chegando a aproximadamente 80% dos municípios brasileiros. Por meio de uma pesquisa exploratória, este artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar alguns conceitos de televisão pública discutidos pela sociedade civil organizada e academia para a RNTPD.
