This final paper is a reflection on mobile service of urgency by raising the main difficulties encountered by organizations, and seeking innovative solutions through new technological features like smartphones, tablets application and cloud computing to develop a scalable system and globalized, based on geolocation that is able to overcome this difficulty being accessible to the whole population

The representation of real objects in virtual environments has applications in many areas, such as cartography, mixed reality and reverse engineering. The generation of these objects can be performed through two ways: manually, with CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools, or automatically, by means of surface reconstruction techniques. The simpler the 3D model, the easier it is to process and store it. However, this methods can generate very detailed virtual elements, that can result in some problems when processing the resulting mesh, because it has a lot of edges and polygons that have to be checked at visualization. Considering this context, it can be applied simplification algorithms to eliminate polygons from resulting mesh, without change its topology, generating a lighter mesh with less irrelevant details. The project aimed the study, implementation and comparative tests of simplification algorithms applied to meshes generated through a reconstruction pipeline based on point clouds. This work proposes the realization of the simplification step, like a complement to the pipeline developed by (ONO et al., 2012), that developed reconstruction through cloud points obtained by Microsoft Kinect, and then using Poisson algorithm

This work aims viewing weather information, by building isosurfaces enabling enjoy the advantages of three-dimensional geometric models, to communicate the meaning of the data used in a clear and efficient way. The evolving technology of data processing makes possible the interpretation of masses of data increasing, through robust algorithms. In meteorology, in particular, we can benefit from this fact, due to the large amount of data required for analysis and statistics. The manipulation of data, by users from other areas, is facilitated by the choice of algorithm and the tools involved in this work. The project was further developed into distinct modules, increasing their flexibility and reusability for future studies

This work proposes two optimization algorithms for the solution of the Berth Allocation Problem (PAB). Due to the economic development of the country, it became necessary for the improvement of means of transport, which mainly shipping. For this, you need a better system management port, you will receive a lot of ships carrying cargo. In this work the PAB is approached so that the goals are to reduce costs and time handling in ports. For this, we applied two computational techniques, genetic algorithms and optimization for cloud particles, to obtain the best results for this problem. The results obtained with each type of algorithm are compared to conclude which method is more efficient for the port system

The project is a platform for education that provides a way where teachers can create and share educational content for their classes, and students can download that content to refer to it at any time. The solution is based on two Windows Phone 7 Apps: Kookaburra Teachers, where teachers can add content to their classes, and Kookaburra Students, where students can download and view the content of classroom. To realize the communication between these two applications, we use a Windows Azure server, that server is also responsible for processing some conversions, enabling real-time translation. This work aims to give greater visibility to the issue of software security, due to people talk a lot in security conferences, that much of both IT (Information Technology) staff and, more specifically, IS (Information Security) staff does not know this, and, thanks to the spread of the mobile computing and of the cloud computing, this lack of deeper knowledge on this subject is increasingly becoming worrisome. It aims too, make applications to be developed in a security manner, priorizing the security of the information processed. It attempts to demonstrate the secure coding techniques, the principles of software security, the means to identify software vulnerabilities, the cutting-edge software exploitation techniques and the mechanisms of mitigation. Nowadays, the security guys are in charge of the most of the security tests in applications, audits and pentests, and it is undeniable that the so-called security experts, most often come from computer network field, having few experience in software development and programming. Therefore, the development process does not consider the security issue, thanks to the lack of knowledge on the subject by the developer, and the security tests could be improved whether security experts had a greater know-how on application development. Given this problem, the goal here is to integrate information security with software development, spreading out the process of secure software development. This paper aims to develop a web application for viewing Atmospheric Electrical Discharge, plotting marks on a map, using as base data provided by SIMEPAR. The developed system uses techniques and tools which enable the creation of Web system without requiring the use of plugins or external software, running on virtually all web browsers and platforms. This tool aims to aid meteorologists monitor agile discharges and help society at large to prevent accidents caused by this phenomenon of nature

A virtual studio system can use technologies as augmented reality and digital matting to decrease production costs at the same time it provides the same resources of a conventional studio. With this, it’s possible for the current studios, with low cost and using conventional devices, to create productions with greater image quality and effects. Some difficulties are recurrent in virtual studio applications that use augmented reality and digital matting. The virtual objects registration in augmented reality techniques suffer from problems caused by optical distortions in the camera, errors in the marker tracking system, lack of calibration on the equipments or on the environment (lighting, for example), or even by delays in the virtual objects display. On the other hand, the digital matting’s main problem is the real-time execution to preview the scene, which must have optimized processing speed at the same time while maintain the best image quality possible. Taking the given context into consideration, this work aims to give continuity to a virtual studio system called ARStudio, by enhancing digital matting, virtual objects registration and introducing a segmentation based on depth map, yet adding better control over functionalities previously implemented
