Det personliga nätverkets funktion : Etablering och underhåll av presonliga nätverk inom ljuddesign för rörlig bild

The aim of this paper was to discover the functions and workings of personal networks and their advantages for self-employed sound designers and producers whose focus was upon the moving image (film, advertising, tv, etc). Investigations on how entrepreneurs develop their networks were made, as well as inquiries on how these networks are used for generating work. Another important aspect perused was whether or not the networks are dependent on specific geographical locations in order to function. A case study and comparative analysis was undertaken, based upon three qualitative interviews with entrepreneurs whose operations shared several similar characteristics. The results pointed out the importance of constantly making new contacts, and maintaining and managing current ones. There was no evidence that traditional marketing strategies or advertising were used by the interviewees. New commissions were often gained from former clients or acquaintances, or through referrals from them. There are definite advantages to having one's business in the geographical area where one's contacts exist. This also makes it easier to keep up these contacts for future prospects. However, it is very feasible to take on contracts, do the job, and to deliver work to clients in far away locations, due to the high speed internet connections available today.Målet med denna uppsats var att ta reda på hur personliga nätverk fungerar och verkar till fördel för egenföretagande ljuddesigers för rörlig bild (Film, Reklam och tv etc.). Hur entreprenörerna utvecklar nätverken utforskades, även hur de används för att generera arbete samt om nätverken bör vara lokaliserade på en speciell plats för att fungera. En fallstudie och komparativ analys utfördes, baserad på tre kvalitativa intervjuer med entreprenörer vars verksamheter liknade varandra på flera plan. Resultatet påvisade vikten av att hela tiden skapa nya kontakter och underhålla befintliga sådana. Inget tydde på att traditionell marknadsföring eller reklam används. Nya uppdrag uppkommer oftast genom tidigare kunder, kontakter eller rekommendationer från dessa. Det finns klara fördelar med att bedriva sin verksamhet i det område där kontakterna finns och det är även lättare att underhålla dem i dessa fall. Det är dock fullt möjligt att åta sig, utföra och leverera uppdrag för befintliga kontakter på långt håll tack vare dagens snabba internetuppkopplingar.

"Ungerska för rötternas skull" : Språkval och identitet bland andragenerationens ungrare i Sverige och Finland

This thesis is a comparative sociolinguistic study which describes and compares language choice among people with Hungarian background in Sweden and Finland and studies their views on the importance of the Hungarian language and Hungarian cultural heritage for identity. The future prospects of language maintenance and language shift and differences between the Swedish-Hungarians and the Finnish-Hungarians are discussed. A survey was completed among 50 Swedish-Hungarian informants and 38 Finnish-Hungarian informants during 2006. The survey was supplemented by in-depth interviews with 15 informants during 2007. The majority language, either Swedish or Finnish, is much more active in the second-generation Hungarians’ lives than Hungarian is. Hungarian is mostly used in the domain of family relations. The language choices made today are dependent on the informant’s situation during childhood, particularly the parents’ usage of the language and the ability to learn and use Hungarian, chiefly gained through contact with the parents’ mother country and other Hungarian speakers. For some informants, having Hungarian roots forms the sole foundation for belonging, while for others it is this heritage combined with the culture, the ability to use the language or specific character traits. The Hungarian background is most often seen as a treasure offering diversity in life. Finnish-Hungarians are generally more positive about their Hungarian background, have better competence in the language and a greater awareness of the culture than Swedish-Hungarians. The Hungarian language plays a central though often symbolic role. The most important conditions for minority language preservation are language competence together with the desire and opportunity to use it; whereof the largest deficit among second-generation Hungarians is knowledge of the Hungarian language. Only one-fourth of the informants have all of the conditions necessary to be able to maintain the language, which means that Hungarian is an endangered minority language in Sweden and Finland.

O empreendedorismo sustentável na Amazônia

Este estudo foi desenvolvido com o fim de analisar as perspectivas para o empreendedorismo sustentável na Amazônia, a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema. Para tanto, foram analisadas as ações, públicas e privadas, que podem ser adotadas para incentivar tal empreendedorismo. Ademais, foi feito um estudo da Agenda 21, Protocolo de Quioto e núcleos de empreendedorismo sustentável. Com base nessas fontes de consulta pode-se concluir que intervenções endógenas não irão promover este desenvolvimento, pois é fundamental que os setores públicos e privados sejam agentes de ação para que o empreendedorismo sustentável seja fomentado na Amazônia. É preciso criar condições para se desenvolver o espírito empreendedor do “povo da floresta” no intuito de que eles sejam cidadãos, no mais amplo sentido que esta palavra possa ter. Isto é, que as comunidades que vivem na Floresta possuam emprego e renda, e que esta fonte econômica venha de forma sustentável com origem na floresta, de modo a mostrar às comunidades que a floresta é muito mais valiosa viva do que morta. A preservação da Floresta Amazônica pelos que lá habitam, certamente será garantida, já que não há ninguém melhor para protegê-la do que seus próprios núcleos vivos.

O enfoque comunitário: uma visão renovadora das abordagens tradicionais em psicologia e aconselhamento

Nos últimos anos, vem sendo desenvolvido um número significativo de abordagens dos problemas comportamentais e sociais. Todas elas fazem parte de um movimento mais amplo de mudança de funções, papéis, metodologias e programas tradicionais das profissões de ajuda. As novas direções vislumbradas em psicologia, ultrapassam os limites de uma postura profissional passiva e destacam que os modelos intrapessoais da psicologia nem sempre condizem com as realidades sociais. o objetivo deste estudo foi fornecer uma visão geral destas abordagens inovadoras, que refletem um posiconamento novo, não tradicional, nas profissões de ajuda, integrando-as em um conjunto coeso: a abordagem comunitária em psicologia e, mais especificamente, no aconselhamento psicológico. A abordagem comunitária enfatiza a necessidade de se desenvolver modelos preventivos e desenvolvimentistas de amplo alcance, em psicologia, bem como a necessidade de se reconhecer o contexto social no qual ela é praticada. Requer novas definições de muitas e papéis para as atividades de ajuda. Tratou-se, neste estudo, de apresentar definições e de estabelecer um fundamento histórico, ideológico e teórico para esta posição, bem como de ilustra-la através de programas de nível comunitário, que extrapolam a orientação tradicional de ajuda. Tratou-se também, dos muitos problemas enfrentados nestes programas e das perspectivas para o novo campo da psicologia e do aconselhamento comunitário. Concluiu-se que a descrição de tal posição poderá fornecer importantes subsídios para aqueles psicólogos interessados em desempenhar um papel profissional mais completo e em atualizar-se acerca das modalidades preventivas e desenvolvimentistas de prestação de serviços.

Indicator-free electrochemical DNA hybridization biosensor

A new electrochemical hybridization biosensor protocol without an external indicator is described. The biosensor format involves the immobilization of inosine-substituted (guanine-free) probe onto the carbon paste transducer, and a direct chronopotentiometric detection of the duplex formation by the appearance of the guanine oxidation peak of the target. Such a use of the intrinsic DNA electrochemical response for monitoring hybridization events offers several advantages (over the common use of external indicators), including the appearance of a new peak, a Aat background, or simplicity. A 4 min short hybridization period allows a detection limit around 120 ng/ml. Performance characteristics of the sensor are described along with future prospects. (C) 1998 Elsevier B.V. B.V. Um longo caminho foi percorrido desde as primeiras intervenções cirúrgicas feitas para o tratamento do aneurisma de aorta abdominal. Ao longo deste tempo, várias inovações foram criadas, no sentido de reduzir a invasividade dos procedimentos e melhorar sua segurança e durabilidade. Nesta revisão, são discutidos os principais e recentes avanços em intervenções sobre aneurismas aórticos, incluindo a restauração aórtica endovascular, a cirurgia aórtica videolaparoscópica, as técnicas híbridas convencionais e endovasculares, as técnicas combinadas videolaparoscópicas e endovasculares, bem como as perspectivas futuras, tanto para aorta torácica como abdominal. Diante de tantas transformações e evolução, o cirurgião vascular moderno terá que ter sua mente aberta para as novidades e desenvolver capacitação ampla com diferentes técnicas para proporcionar a melhor opção terapêutica para seus pacientes.

Latin America-European Union cooperation: A partnership for development

The European Union has taken special interest in promoting development cooperation as an instrument along with framework and association agreements. Today, the countries making up the strategic partnership between the European Union and the current Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) are in a far different position from the one envisaged in the early 1990s. Nearly 15 years on from the launch of the strategic partnership between the European Union and the current Community of Latin American and Caribberan States (CELAC, formerly the Rio Group), it is important to look at the future prospects for cooperation. During this change, the strategic partnership between the European Union and CELAC will continue, so European Union cooperation must also change to meet this challenge.
