Invisíveis sociais: elementos para pensar formas de (des)integração de uma sociedade de capitalismo dependente

Diante do estreitamento do horizonte emancipatório para uma parcela significativa da população brasileira, procuramos, neste estudo, descrever a história real destes muitos, para não dizer milhões, que acabaram condenados à margem de formas sociais, econômicas, estilísticas, consagradas pelos aparatos ideológicos que perpetuam e justificam a reprodução da racionalidade do capital como o único e exclusivo sistema social. Na contemporaneidade, a mercantilização da vida em sociedade e seu indissociável processo de descartabilidade marcam presença constante no cenário das médias e grandes cidades brasileiras. Perscrutando o campo exploratório, presenciamos grupos humanos cada vez mais desvinculados do sistema produtivo. Destituídos de qualidades aceitáveis circunscritas à esfera econômica e moral capitalista, figuram, apenas, como paisagem, apenas, como fragmentos do universo objetivo. Vidas em sobrestado permanente, confundidas e misturadas com o descartável, sem lugar no mundo produtivo, galgam a invisibilidade social. É esta incivilidade levada ao seu paroxismo chamada invisibilidade que, aqui, identificamos e trazemos à luz. Uma invisibilidade que se constrói não pelo olhar, mas num imaginário persistente que fixa a pobreza como marca de inferioridade, potencializando um modo de ser que descredencia indivíduos para o exercício de seus direitos e da vida social, já que percebidos numa diferença incomensurável, aquém das regras da equivalência, isto é, da alteridade que a formalidade da lei e o exercício dos direitos deveriam concretizar. É neste espaço de interpelação do outro que a invisibilidade se constitui. Ela habita o registro do impensável, do conflito com a ideia de essência, de alteridade que arbitra todas as formas de ser. O invisível surge como alguém que não É, provocação que incita o estranhamento, o que o torna assediado por um forte ranço moral que preserva a depreciação de tudo que perdeu o valor de uso. É assim decretada a sua tripla negação: desistoricizado, desumanizado e dessignificado, mesclado a um universo de contravalores que imobilizam a vida, tornando-o incodificável, um personagem inefável colocando em xeque toda a lógica da representação. Nossa proposta, com este trabalho, foi o de ir além de um trabalho documental, mas de constatação e denúncia, procurando ultrapassar visões reducionistas que naturalizam a pobreza e a miséria, reencontrando assim, nas mediações e contrapontos, as contradições fundas que conduzem muitos a invalidação social, cujas violações e mutilações, de toda ordem, prosperam a favor de uma ordem econômica que se apresenta desvinculada e independente de limites e de justificações morais

Circulação de ideias em pesquisas com os cotidianos: os necessários contatos entre os praticantespensantes de currículos

O trabalho que desenvolvemos busca alargar os espaçostempos para narrativase análises de textos, a partir de imagens e textos produzidos com vista à circulação científica produzidos para congressos pela área de currículo e, mais especificamente, pela corrente denominada de pesquisas nos/dos/com os cotidianos. Entendemos que são nesses múltiplos e complexos encontros, nos quais são desenvolvidas formas diversas de conversas, entre pesquisadores e outros praticantespensantes dos cotidianos das redes educativas, que são reproduzidos, transmitidos e criados artefatos materiais (artigos) e imateriais (crenças pedagógicas, pensamentos pedagógicos e curriculares) e relações culturais e educativas, propiciando o encontro de múltiplos mundos culturais, fazendo circular ideias produzidas dentrofora das escolas, bem como dentrofora dos espaçostempos acadêmicos. Incorporando essas ideias, nesta pesquisa, entendemos que pelas necessidades de colocar em diálogo o que vai sendo descoberto em ciência no campo da educação se faz indispensável formas de contato ágeis entre a Universidade e aqueles que se encontram nas diversas redes cotidianas e, em especial, os praticantespensantes docentes nas múltiplas redes educativas em que atuam, já que sem isso não conseguiremos entender quais são os conhecimentos e as significações criados, cotidianamente, pelos mesmos nos contatos com as ideias criadas pelas pesquisas acadêmicas. Mais que isto, estas só podem se considerar completadas quando contarem com as respostas e ideias que são criadas nesses espaçostempos de contato. Com essa atitude que venho desenvolvendo desde o mestrado - continuo no doutorado, investigando o uso da troca científica como potência para pensar e praticar a circulação de conhecimentos e significações, compreendendo a descentralização necessária, na área da Educação, dos pólos de produção e emissão, e considerando a conversação científica, da qual todos podem/devem participar, como parte integrante e fundamental da produção de ciência, nesta área. Tudo isto vem permitindo transformações que se articulam com nossas múltiplas e diversificadas possibilidades de expressão, sensação, entendimento, pelas tantas redes que todos e todas formamos e nas quais aprendemosensinamos. Nesta tese, continuando o trabalho iniciado no mestrado, quando buscamos percorrer na internet os caminhos feitos por artigos de duas conhecidas pesquisadoras da primeira geração de pesquisadores com os cotidianos, em textos produzidos para o ENDIPE de 2010, no doutorado, buscamos acompanhar o trabalho de dois pesquisadores na segunda geração desta mesma corrente de pesquisa, nesta mesma rede, com textos produzidos para reuniões anuais da ANPEd, no Trabalho Encomendado do GT-12/Currículo. Noiseless method for checking the Peres separability criterion by local operations and classical communication

We present a method for checking the Peres separability criterion in an arbitrary bipartite quantum state rho(AB) within local operations and classical communication scenario. The method does not require noise operation which is needed in making the partial transposition map physically implementable. The main task for the two observers, Alice and Bob, is to measure some specific functions of the partial transposed matrix. With these functions, they can determine the eigenvalues of rho(T)(AB)(B), among which the minimum serves as an entanglement witness.

传值进程模型检测中诊断信息的生成

诊断信息自动生成是模型检测方法的基本特征之一，对分析和排错具有重要的意义，讨论了传值进程模型检测中诊断信息的生成问题，引入了两种诊断信息的表示结构：证明图和示例；提出了两种诊断信息的构造算法，所采用的方法是从检测过程保存的依赖信息中抽取证明图和示例，这样可以继承已有的信息，从而减少计算量，相应的算法已经实现并用实例作了分析测试，实验结果表明该方法是有效的。

大赖草总DNA转化小麦引起的HMW-GS基因变化及大赖草HMW-GS基因的克隆

应用花粉管通道技术将新疆大赖草总DNA导入小麦，用高重序列分析方法，已为大赖草总DNA转入小麦提供了初步的分子证据。在转 化后代中选育出稳定遗传的大穗变异株系，分析表明，这些转化株中蛋白质含量明显增高(13%-17%)。对基因供体新疆大赖草、受 体春麦761、转化株的高分子量谷蛋白亚基(HMW-GS)进行了SDS-PAGE分析，发现这些转化株中HMW-GS发生了很大变化，并在此基础 上，用来自小麦基因组的四对特异引物，以PCR方法扩增供体、受体以及转化株的1Ax、1Bx、1Dx及1Ay、1By、1Dy型HMW-GS全基因 ，比较他们扩增产物的差异，结果表明，受体与转化株在HMW-GS基因1Ax、1Bx位点上的扩增产物差异不大，在HMW-GS基因位点1Dx 和y型基因上的扩增产物有较大差异，说明了受体在基因位点1Dx、1Ay、1By和1Dy上可能发生了多位点插入，可能由于这些基因位 点上的插入引起了转化株的高分子量谷蛋白亚基(HMW-GS)的变化，这就再一次为大赖草总DNA导入提供了直接的分子证据。虽然大 赖草总DNA导入提高了小麦蛋白质的含量，改变了HMW-GS的组成，部分改变了品质评分，但我们感到这些转化株在品质改良方面仍 有很大余地，如何更好地利用新疆大赖草蛋白质的优良特性及避免总DNA导入给转化株带来的不良性状，一个大赖草HMW-GS基因正 被分离及克隆，并准备将其利用于未来的品质育种当中。Total DNA of Leymus racemosus had been transformed into wheat through pollen tube pathway. Analysis of the repeated gene sequence had provided an elementary proof. Some variant cultivars with big ear were screened from their offsprings, and their protein content increased greatly from 13% (receptor)to 17%(transformed). The result from SDS-PAGE analysis of high-molecular-weight glutenin subunits(HMW- GS) respectively in donor(Xinjiang Leymus racemosus), receptor(spring wheat cultivar 761)and transformed wheats, showed the HMW-GS composition changed in the transformed plants. On the basis of the research, Four special pairs primers from wheat(T.aestivum L.) genome were used to amplify complete coding regions of HMW-GS genes on 1Ax、1Bx 、1Dx and 1Ay、1By、1Dy loci of donor、receptor and the big ear transformed cultivars. By comparing amplified PCR products. Faint differences were found among receptor and transformed cultivar's 1Ax、1Bx PCR amplifed products and apparent differences on those of 1Dx、y-typePCR product. We gueseed that there may be some DNA inserts in 1Dx 、1By、1Dy loci resulted in the changes of the HMW-GS among transformed cultivars. This provides second direct molecular witness to the exogenous DNA introduction. Even though the transformed plants have higher protein content, changed HMW-GS composition, partially improved process quality, there still leave much work to improve quality. In order to make full use of the excellent property of Leymus racemosus protein and avoid the disadvantages introducced by total DNA transformation, a HMW-GS gene of Leymus racemosus was being isolated and cloned.

Edukacyjne implikacje technologii cyfrowych

W ciągu minionych trzech dekad świat radykalnie się zmienił. Jesteśmy świadkami transformacji od społeczeństwa przemysłowego do społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Jeśli chcielibyśmy określić tą zmianę jednym słowem byłoby nim: cyfryzacja. Początkiem było wynalezienie cyfrowego komputera, a później wszystkie stare analogowe formy medialne (tekst, dźwięk, obraz, film) reprezentowane poprzez ciągłe (analogowe) sygnały zostały zastąpione przez nowe postaci cyfrowe. Pojęcie cyfrowy oznacza, że dowolne informacje mogą być reprezentowana w formie ciągów liczb zapisanych w dwójkowym systemie liczbowym (jako ciąg znaków: 0 i 1). W artykule pokazujemy funkcjonalne ograniczenia mediów analogowych oraz rozważamy korzyści wynikające z cyfrowych reprezentacji różnych form informacji wskazując równocześnie zmiany jakie implikuje to dla procesu uczenia się i edukacji.

Inspiracją dla autora artykułu stały się zebrane w Liście do moich kapłanów refleksje Prymasa Wyszyńskiego na temat tożsamości i misji prezbitera. Zawierają one wiele wątków, które niewątpliwie łączy przenikająca całe dzieło troska o jedność kapłanów w służbie eklezjalnej komunii. Dla Prymasa Tysiąclecia społeczna natura człowieka była czytelnym potwierdzeniem prawdy o jego powołaniu do życia we wspólnocie, nie tylko tej doczesnej, ale i tej nadprzyrodzonej. Należało tę naturalną zdolność do wchodzenia w relacje z innymi właściwie odczytać w świetle Bożego Objawienia. Bogate życie wewnętrzne pozwala kontemplować tajemnicę Trójcy Świętej i dostrzegać w Niej źródło eklezjalnej i międzyludzkiej komunii. Obdarowanie nadprzyrodzoną mocą wspólnoty z Bogiem w Kościele, uzdalnia wierzących w Chrystusa do nowych braterskich relacji, czyniąc z nich prawdziwą Bożą rodzinę. Proces ten dokonuje się dzięki pośrednictwu posługi kapłańskiej, dlatego też prezbiterzy są szczególnie wezwani, aby w ich wzajemnych relacjach jaśniał ten nowy, wspólnotowy styl życia. Osobista więź z Bogiem, relacja z ordynariuszem, pomiędzy prezbiterami, czy też z wiernymi świeckimi to podstawowe wymiary, w których kapłani mają jawić się jako świadkowie i słudzy komunii.

The United Methodist Church at 40: What Can We Hope For?

The necessity we face for the future of Methodism is the re-invention of traditions. To re-invent traditions is to re-visit the past with all of its richness; to discern what in our tradition is most central to Christian faith; to analyze those parts of our past that continue to give life; to discern and build upon what is of value in the newly emerging tradition; and to reflect on those aspects of the neglected and rejected past that challenge our present perspectives and practices. To re-invent traditions is to develop new perspectives and practices from the building blocks of the past and from the fresh movements of the Spirit in the present. To do so is to recognize that Christianity in general, and Methodism in particular, is marked by traditions that have continually been passed on, critiqued, eliminated, created, and re-invented for the sake of a living Christian witness. What we can hope for is that God is there in the future already, pulling us toward God’s own New Creation.

An Historical and Theological Analysis of Campus Crusade for Christ's Evangelistic Practice in Two American University Contexts

This dissertation, an exercise in practical theology, consists of a critical conversation between the evangelistic practice of Campus Crusade for Christ in two American university contexts, Bryan Stone's ecclesiologically grounded theology of evangelism, and William Abraham's eschatologically grounded theology of evangelism. It seeks to provide these evangelizing communities several strategic proposals for a more ecclesiologically and eschatologically grounded practice of evangelism within a university context. The current literature on evangelism is long on evangelistic strategy and activity, but short on theological analysis and reflection. This study focuses on concrete practices, but is grounded in a thick description of two particular contexts (derived from qualitative research methods) and a theological analysis of the ecclesiological and eschatological beliefs embedded within their evangelistic activities. The dissertation provides an historical overview of important figures, ideas, and events that helped mold the practice of evangelism inherited by the two ministries of this study, beginning with the famous Haystack Revival on Williams College in 1806. Both ministries, Campus Crusade for Christ at Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and at Washington State University, inherited an evangelistic practice sorely infected with many of the classic distortions that both Abraham and Stone attempt to correct. Qualitative research methods detail the direction that Campus Crusade for Christ at Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and Washington State University have taken the practice of evangelism they inherited. Applying the analytical categories that emerge from a detailed summary of Stone and Abraham to qualitative data of these two ministries reveals several ways evangelism has morphed in a manner sympathetic to Stone's insistence that the central logic of evangelism is the embodied witness of the church. The results of this analysis reveal the subversive and pervasive influence of modernity on these evangelizing communities—an influence that warrants several corrective strategic proposals including: 1) re-situating evangelism within a reading of the biblical narrative that emphasizes the present, social, public, and realized nature of the gospel of the kingdom of God rather than simply its future, personal, private, and unrealized dimensions; 2) clarifying the nature of the evangelizing communities and their relationship to the church; and 3) emphasizing the virtues that characterize a new evangelistic exemplar who is incarnational, intentional, humble, and courageous.

The evolution of airplanes

The prevailing view is that we cannot witness biological evolution because it occurred on a time scale immensely greater than our lifetime. Here, we show that we can witness evolution in our lifetime by watching the evolution of the flying human-and-machine species: the airplane. We document this evolution, and we also predict it based on a physics principle: the constructal law. We show that the airplanes must obey theoretical allometric rules that unite them with the birds and other animals. For example, the larger airplanes are faster, more efficient as vehicles, and have greater range. The engine mass is proportional to the body size: this scaling is analogous to animal design, where the mass of the motive organs (muscle, heart, lung) is proportional to the body size. Large or small, airplanes exhibit a proportionality between wing span and fuselage length, and between fuel load and body size. The animal-design counterparts of these features are evident. The view that emerges is that the evolution phenomenon is broader than biological evolution. The evolution of technology, river basins, and animal design is one phenomenon, and it belongs in physics. © 2014 AIP Publishing LLC.

Crowdfunding the Azolla fern genome project: a grassroots approach.

Much of science progresses within the tight boundaries of what is often seen as a "black box". Though familiar to funding agencies, researchers and the academic journals they publish in, it is an entity that outsiders rarely get to peek into. Crowdfunding is a novel means that allows the public to participate in, as well as to support and witness advancements in science. Here we describe our recent crowdfunding efforts to sequence the Azolla genome, a little fern with massive green potential. Crowdfunding is a worthy platform not only for obtaining seed money for exploratory research, but also for engaging directly with the general public as a rewarding form of outreach.
