A layered inner-tunnel supramolecular compound 1, [(CuI)(2)(o-phen)(2)], was hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystal diffraction. It crystallizes in triclinic system, space group P (1) over bar with a=0.7759(2) nm, b=0.9070(2) rim, c=0.91894(10) rim, alpha=96.306(14)degrees, beta=104.567(16)degrees, gamma=109.421(19)degrees, V=0.5768(2) nm(3), Z=1, R=0.0348, omegaR=0.0920.

Hydrothermal synthesis and crystal structure of a novel compound: [Ni(phen)(3)](2)[(SiMo10V2O40)-O-IV((VO)-O-IV)2]center dot 2H(2)O

A novel compound [Ni(phen)(3)](2)[(SiMo10V1/2O40)-O-V((VO)-O-IV)(2)] . 2H(2)O has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic, system, space group P-1, a = 12.378(4) Angstrom, b = 14.148(5) Angstrom, c = 14.316(2) Angstrom, alpha = 105.91(2)degrees, beta = 95.31(2)degrees, gamma = 96.89(3)degrees, V = 2373.0(12) Angstrom(3), Z = 1, (lambdaMo(Kalpha)) = 0.71073 Angstrom, R1 (wR2) = 0.0869(0.2174). Data were collected on a Siemens P4 four-circle diffractometer at 293 K in the range of 1.51 < theta < 22.50degrees using the omega-scan technique. Empirical absorption correction (psi scan) was applied. The structure was solved by the direct method and refined by the Full-matrix least-squares on F-2 using the SHELXL-97 software. X-ray crystallographic study showed that the title compound contained a bi-capped alpha-Kegin-type [(SiMo10V2O40)-O-IV((VO)-O-IV)(2)](4-) polyoxoanion.

A neutral open-frame work zincophosphate has been hydrothermally synthesized: structure refinement shows that it is composed of Zn4O12 tetramers and infinite Zn-O-Zn chains that are linked by PO4 groups forming one-dimensional 16-membered ring channels along b direction.

Performance of Pt-TiO2 electrocatalyst for CO oxidation in the electrochemical gas sensor

It is reported for the first time that the Pt/TiO2 electrocatalyst was successfully used for the electrocatalytic oxidation of CO in the electrochemical gas sensor with a controlled potential mode. The stability of electrocatalytic activity of the Pt-TiO2 electrocatalyst for the CO oxidation is better than that of Pt.

Hydrothermal synthesis and characterization of bimetallic cluster complex [{Mn(phen)(2)}(2)V4O12]center dot 1/2 H2O

A new bimetallic cluster complex with the formula [(Mn(phen)(2))(2)V4O12].1/2 H2O has been synthesized through hydrothermal reaction of vanadate staring material with manganese cation in the presence of nitrogen donor chelating ligand and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR UV-vis, ESR spectrum and thermal analysis. The compound crystallize in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 18.475(4) Angstrom, b = 11.473(2) Angstrom, c = 23.667(5) Angstrom, beta = 97.76(3)degrees, V = 4971(2) Angstrom(3) and Z = 4. The structure of [{Mn(phen)(2)}(2)V4O12].1/2 H2O is composed of a discrete V4O124- cluster covalently attached to two [Mn(phen)(2)](2+) fragments.

Hydrothermal synthesis and crystal structure of an unusual compound: [Cu(en)(2)](4)[(SiMo8V4O40)-O-V((VO)-O-IV)(2)][MoO4](2)center dot 5H(2)O

A novel compound [Cu(en)(2)](4)[(SiMo8V4O40)-O-v(V-IV O)(2)] [MoO4](2) . 5H(2)O has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Black crystals crystallize in the tetragonal. system, space group 14/m, a = b = 14.019(2) Angstrom, c = 20.341(4) Angstrom, V = 3997.9(11) Angstrom(3), Z = 2, lambda(MoKalpha) = 0.71073 Angstrom (R(F) = 0.0443 for 1819 reflections). Data were collected on a Siemens P4 four-circle diffractometer at 293 K in the range of 1.76 < theta < 24.98degrees using the omega-scan technique. The structure was solved by the direct method and refined by the full-matrix least squares on F-2 method using the SHELXL-97 software. X-ray crystallographic study showed that the title compound contained a bicapped alpha-Keggin fragment [SiMo8 (V4O40)-O-v((VO)-O-IV)(2)](4-) polyoxoanion.

Hydrothermal synthesis and structural characterization of a novel organic-inorganic hybrid compound {[Cu(2, 2 '-bpy)(2)](2)-Mo8O26}

A novel organic-inorganic hybrid compound {[Cu (2, 2'-bpy)(2)](2)Mo8O26} has been hydrothermally Synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group, Pna2(1), with a=2.4164 (5), b=1.8281 (4), c=1.1877 (2) nm, V=5.247(2) nm(3), Z=4, and final R-1=0.0331, wR(2)=0.0727. The structure consists of discrete {[Cu(2,2'-bpy)(2)](2)Mo8O26} clusters, constructed from a beta -octamolybdate subunit[Mo8O26](4-) covalently bonded to two [Cu(2,2'-bpy)(2)](2+) coordination complex cations via bridging oxo groups. In addition, the spectroscopic properties and thermal behavior of this compound have been investigated by spectroscopic techniques (UV-vis, IR, Raman and EPR spectra) and TG analysis.

Hydrothermal synthesis and spectral properties of the Eu doped KZnF3

The polycrystals of KZnF3 : Eu have been synthesized by hydrothermal method at 220 degreesC, The product was characterized by XRD, XPS and SEM. The emission and excitation spectra of europium ion were measured. The existence of Eu2+ ion was confirmed by ESR and spectroscopy. The sites were possibly occupied by Eu2+ ions, charge compensation in this crystal were also discussed.

The mild hydrothermal synthesis of complex fluorides of AZnF(3) (A = Na, K)

The complex fluorides of AZnF(3) (A = Na, K), which are isostructural with perovskite phases were obtained by the method of hydrothermal synthesis at 160-220 degrees C. Compared with traditional high-temperature solid-state method, the products were pure and contained lower amount of oxygen.

Hydrothermal synthesis and structure of [{Mo8V4O36(VO4)(VO)(2)}(n)](7n-) bi-capped alpha-Keggin fragments linked to a chain

The title compound, (H(2)en)(3)H3O {MO8V4O36 (VO4) (VO)(2)} . 4H(2)O, was hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by means of IR, ESR spectrum and single crystal X-ray diffraction. It crystallized in a monoclinic system with space group P2(1)/c, a=1. 980 4(4) nm, b=2. 063 4(4) nm, c=1. 192 0(2) nm, (beta =94. 76(3)degrees and deep black colour. The compound contains V-centered bi-capped alpha -Keggin fragments {Mo8V7O42} that are linked together by edge-shared units (VO5)-O-N via V-O-V bonds, forming a chain.

Mild hydrothermal synthesis and optical properties of the complex fluoride KMgF3 doped with Eu

KMgF3 doped with Eu was synthesized by mild hydrothermal method at 240 degreesC for the first time. The excitation and emission spectra of the KMgF3 : Eu2+ phosphor were measured. Comparing with the sample synthesized through solid state reaction, the variation in the excitation spectra at 360 nm resulted from the existences of V-K color centers; the low emission intensity was due to Eu2+ having transferred part energy to V-K color centers.

An organic-inorganic hybrid solid, (Cu(2,2'-bpy)(2))(2)Mo8O26, has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Dark green crystals crystallize in the orthorhombic system, space group Pna21, a = 24.164(5), b = 18.281(4), c = 11.877(2) Angstrom, alpha = 90 degrees, beta = 90 degrees, gamma = 90 degrees, V= 5247(2) Angstrom (3), Z = 4, lambda (MoK alpha) = 0.71073 Angstrom (R(F) = 0.0331 for 5353 reflections). Data were collected on a Siemens P4 four-circle diffractometer at 293 K in the range 1.69 degrees < theta < 25.04 degrees using the omega -scan technique. The structure was solved by the direct method and refined by full-matrix least squares on F-2 using SHELXL-93. The structure of this compound consists of discrete (Cu(2,2'-bpy)(2))(2)Mo8O26 clusters, constructed from beta -octamolybdate subunits ((Mo8O26)(4-)) covalently bonded to two (Cu(2,2'-bpy)(2))(2+) coordination complexes via bridging oxo groups that connect two adjacent molybdenum sites. Hydrothermal synthesis of the two-dimensional coordination polymer {[Fe(phen)(OH)](bta)(0.5)}(n) (phen=1,10-phenanthroline, bta=benzene-1,2,4,5-tetracaboxylate)

The title two-dimensional coordination polymer was synthesised and characterised by X-ray diffraction analysis.
