O conto aqui traduzido é um exemplo acabado de desconstrucionismo, sobretudo conseguido através da menorização do papel do narrador, constantemente desautorizado pelas personagens, que o interrompem e o contradizem. Assim, alguns segmentos aparentemente incongruentes não o são de facto.
