Die Frage des Neubeginns pädagogischer Wissenschaft in Deutschland wird hier im Blick auf die gesellschaftliche Funktion von Wissenschaft gestellt und am Beispiel einer Teildisziplin, der Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik (BWP), vorläufig beantwortet. Basis dafür sind die Berufsbiographien sowie die Theorie- und Wissensproduktion samt der Diskursform von 23 Hochschullehrern der BWP, dem vermutlich vollständigen Personenkorpus dieser Disziplin und der ersten Generation ihrer Vertreter in Westdeutschland nach 1945. Danach zeichnet sich die BWP durch personale Kontinuität, theoretische Homogenität und diskursive Selbstreferentialität aus und zeigt sich dieser Konstanz nach als ein geschlossener Wissenschaftsprozeß seit 1930 bis 1960. Der war freilich politisch offen; gesellschaftlich gesehen war und verhielt sich die Disziplin funktional. (DIPF/Orig.)

Otto Kelland was a truly unique individual in Newfoundland. During his long life he had several careers from being a prison superintendant to being an instructor at Marine Institute. During his life Kelland made hundreds of wooden boat models. They are beautifuly hand-crafted and represented the type of watercraft used by fishermen in Newfoundland. The collection of boat models made by Otto Kelland and owned by Marine Institute made an ideal object to be digitalized. In particular the collection of dories was an ideal group to be digitized. They were housed in one cabinet and accompanied by hand-written documents describing each model. The Digital Archives Initiative (DAI) is a “gateway to the learning and research-based cultural resources held by Memorial University of Newfoundland and partnering organizations.” The DAI hosts a variety of collections which together reinforce the importance, past and present, of Newfoundland and Labrador's history and culture. I will give an oral presentation of the project followed by a demonstration of the Otto Kelland Dories exhibit on the Digital Archives Initiative (DAI) at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Esta tese tem por objetivo investigar as trajetórias intelectuais de Anatol Rosenfeld e Otto Maria Carpeaux. Exilados no Brasil durante a década de 30 do século passado, em função do avanço do nazifascismo na Europa, o alemão Rosenfeld e o austríaco Carpeaux souberam reinventar suas existências na nova terra, transformando-se em dois dos maiores críticos literários do país. Além de examinar os itinerários percorridos por ambos os autores, esta tese terá como foco analisar a relação entre exílio e atividade intelectual, promovendo uma reflexão a respeito do lugar das cidades de Berlim e Viena na construção do arcabouço espiritual de Rosenfeld e Carpeaux. Este estudo também tratará das suas primeiras produções em solo brasileiro, bem como da recepção que obtiveram de seus anfitriões, delineando, assim, os contornos de uma complexa atmosfera intelectual marcada por uma espécie de cordialidade literária. Como último objetivo, esta tese debaterá o processo de modelagem do self por meio do qual ambos os críticos conseguiram aprimorar a própria individualidade, tornando-se, enfim, figuras cuja memória deve ser recuperada.
