The task of approximation-forecasting for a function, represented by empirical data was investigated. Certain class of the functions as forecasting tools: so called RFT-transformers, – was proposed. Least Square Method and superposition are the principal composing means for the function generating. Besides, the special classes of beam dynamics with delay were introduced and investigated to get classical results regarding gradients. These results were applied to optimize the RFT-transformers. The effectiveness of the forecast was demonstrated on the empirical data from the Forex market.

Chaos control is a concept that recently acquiring more attention among the research community, concerning the fields of engineering, physics, chemistry, biology and mathematic. This paper presents a method to simultaneous control of deterministic chaos in several nonlinear dynamical systems. A radial basis function networks (RBFNs) has been used to control chaotic trajectories in the equilibrium points. Such neural network improves results, avoiding those problems that appear in other control methods, being also efficient dealing with a relatively small random dynamical noise.

This paper presents two algorithms for one-parameter local bifurcations of equilibrium points of dynamical systems. The algorithms are implemented in the computer algebra system Maple 13 © and designed as a package. Some examples are reported to demonstrate the package’s facilities.

Цветомир Цачев - В настоящия доклад се прави преглед на някои резултати от областта на оптималното управление на непрекъснатите хетерогенни системи, публикувани в периодичната научна литература в последните години. Една динамична система се нарича хетерогенна, ако всеки от нейните елементи има собствена динамиката. Тук разглеждаме оптимално управление на системи, чиято хетерогенност се описва с едномерен или двумерен параметър – на всяка стойност на параметъра отговаря съответен елемент на системата. Хетерогенните динамични системи се използват за моделиране на процеси в икономиката, епидемиологията, биологията, опазване на обществената сигурност (ограничаване на използването на наркотици) и др. Тук разглеждаме модел на оптимално инвестиране в образование на макроикономическо ниво [11], на ограничаване на последствията от разпространението на СПИН [9], на пазар на права за въглеродни емисии [3, 4] и на оптимален макроикономически растеж при повишаване на нивото на върховите технологии [1]. We discuss some main points of computer-assisted proofs based on reliable numerical computations. Such so-called self-validating numerical methods in combination with exact symbolic manipulations result in very powerful mathematical software tools. These tools allow proving mathematical statements (existence of a fixed point, of a solution of an ODE, of a zero of a continuous function, of a global minimum within a given range, etc.) using a digital computer. To validate the assertions of the underlying theorems fast finite precision arithmetic is used. The results are absolutely rigorous. To demonstrate the power of reliable symbolic-numeric computations we investigate in some details the verification of very long periodic orbits of chaotic dynamical systems. The verification is done directly in Maple, e.g. using the Maple Power Tool intpakX or, more efficiently, using the C++ class library C-XSC.

The importance of “control variations” for obtaining local approximations of the reachable set of nonlinear control systems is well known. Heuristically, if one can construct control variations in all possible directions, then the considered control system is small-time locally controllable (STLC). Two concepts of control variations of higher order are introduced for the case of smooth control systems. The relation between these variations and the small-time local controllability is studied and a new sufficient STLC condition is proved.
