Networks of Evolutionary Processors (NEP) as Decision Support Systems

This paper presents the application of Networks of Evolutionary Processors to Decision Support Systems, precisely Knowledge-Driven DSS. Symbolic information and rule-based behavior in Networks of Evolutionary Processors turn out to be a great tool to obtain decisions based on objects present in the network. The non-deterministic and massive parallel way of operation results in NP-problem solving in linear time. A working NEP example is shown.

Networks of Evolutionary Processors: Java Implementation of a Threaded Processor

This paper is focused on a parallel JAVA implementation of a processor defined in a Network of Evolutionary Processors. Processor description is based on JDom, which provides a complete, Java-based solution for accessing, manipulating, and outputting XML data from Java code. Communication among different processor to obtain a fully functional simulation of a Network of Evolutionary Processors will be treated in future. A safe-thread model of processors performs all parallel operations such as rules and filters. A non-deterministic behavior of processors is achieved with a thread for each rule and for each filter (input and output). Different results of a processor evolution are shown.

Extended Networks of Evolutionary Processors

This paper presents an extended behavior of networks of evolutionary processors. Usually, such nets are able to solve NP-complete problems working with symbolic information. Information can evolve applying rules and can be communicated though the net provided some constraints are verified. These nets are based on biological behavior of membrane systems, but transformed into a suitable computational model. Only symbolic information is communicated. This paper proposes to communicate evolution rules as well as symbolic information. This idea arises from the DNA structure in living cells, such DNA codes information and operations and it can be sent to other cells. Extended nets could be considered as a superset of networks of evolutionary processors since permitting and forbidden constraints can be written in order to deny rules communication.

Evolutionary Technique of Shorter Route Determination of Fire Brigade Following to Fire Place with the Optimized Space of Search

In this paper the technique of shorter route determination of fire engine to the fire place on time minimization criterion with the use of evolutionary modeling is offered. The algorithm of its realization on the base of complete and optimized space of search of possible decisions is explored. The aspects of goal function forming and program realization of method having a special purpose are considered. Experimental verification is executed and the results of comparative analysis with the expert conclusions are considered.

Designing the System of Remote Knowledge Diagnosing for Students of Technical Specialties

In the article the theoretical aspects of planning of the systems of the controlled from distance diagnosing of level of know ledges of students are resulted on the basis of modern pedagogical theoretical and technological approaches. The practical results of creation of the systems of this type are resulted for organization of testing both in the structure of local networks of higher educational establishments and with access through the global network of Internet.

The Production Scheduling in Assembly System with Evolutionary Algorithm

In this paper an evolutionary algorithm is proposed for solving the problem of production scheduling in assembly system. The aim of the paper is to investigate a possibility of the application of evolutionary algorithms in the assembly system of a normally functioning enterprise producing household appliances to make the production graphic schedule.
