The Initial Stage of Teaching Proof in Mathematics Course

This article discusses techniques for organization of propaedeutic stage of teaching proof in mathematics course. It identifies types of tasks that allow students of 5–6 classes to form the ability to carry out simple proofs. This article describes each type of tasks features, it gives some examples.

The Principles of Creation of Teaching Materials and Organization of Ukrainian Language Learning Process using Distance Support in Senior Classes

The article deals with the topicality and problems of using information and communication technologies in secondary education, conditions and methods for Ukrainian language learning with the distance support in senior classes. The article shows the principal similarity of distance learning to training one. The common and specific principles of creation of teaching materials for a distance learning course are described. It reveals the conditions of effective organization of Ukrainian language learning with distance support on the material of distance course “Business Ukrainian and Culture of Communication”.

The Localization Procedures of the Vector of Weighting Coefficients on the Set of Teaching Experts in the Tasks of Consuming

In terms of binary relations the author analyses the task of an individual consumers’ choice on the teaching excerpts set. It is suggested to analyse the function of consumer’s value as additive reduction. For localization of the vector of weighting coefficients of additive reduction the procedures based on metrics of object distance towards the ideal point are suggested.

The article examines the main approaches to external evaluation and accreditation in higher education. It also presents COMPASS-OK: a social network for electronic evaluation and management of the quality of education, which utilizes mechanisms for management of documentation flows and supports tools for modeling of evaluation methods and procedures.

The Methodology of the Subsistence Minimum Calculation for Developing Countries and its Computation on the Georgian Example

This article shows the social importance of subsistence minimum in Georgia. The methodology of its calculation is also shown. We propose ways of improving the calculation of subsistence minimum in Georgia and how to extend it for other developing countries. The weights of food and non-food expenditures in the subsistence minimum baskets are essential in these calculations. Daily consumption value of the minimum food basket has been calculated too. The average consumer expenditures on food supply and the other expenditures to the share are considered in dynamics. Our methodology of the subsistence minimum calculation is applied for the case of Georgia. However, it can be used for similar purposes based on data from other developing countries, where social stability is achieved, and social inequalities are to be actualized.
