Este artigo procura resumir, divulgando, os principais resultados de uma pesquisa sobre rotatividade de recursos humanos, numa situação específica. Espera demonstrar como a Universidade pode servir à população da região onde está inserida, sensibilizando os poderes públicos e a classe dominante, no sentido de minorar problemas que afligem essa população.

Estudo de caso de uma escola pública, com problemas para o funcionamento do período noturno do 1º Grau. Foram entrevistados (a maioria dos alunos e 11 professores das séries finais, alem de membros do staff da escola). Foram analisados também livro-ponto e caderneta dos professores. Os resultados alertam para a rotatividade do corpo docente e direção como condicionante do fracasso escolar, que é evitado pelos alunos através do perverso mecanismo de evasão. Os alunos se mostram críticos agudos da escola, enquanto os professores se revelam isolados, impotentes e contraditórios em seu trabalho no curso noturno. O dado mais alarmante: frente ao fracasso, baseado na Resolução 244/94 da SE, a Delegacia de Ensino local optou por fechar o curso frustando pesquisadores, professores e alunos.

This article, through the revision of literature in the areas of Information Science and Administration, sought to rescue the theoretical yardstick about leadership, motivation, team works, competences, abilities and attitudes of leader. Beyond that was elaborated an exploratory study with directors/managers of university libraries. From the analysis of literature selected and the exploratory research, infers that the leader which works in units of information can develop some actions that are going to motivate the team, to which leads, as by example: implant participatory programs; establish challenging goals; encourage works in group; promote turnaround of post and functions; create results disclosure systems; stimulate the creativity; promote a good environment at work; promote education and training individual/group; defined clearly the responsibilities; delegate authority consciously, charge results; and others possibilities. In this manner, understands that leader that works in units of information is going to know the factors that enable the motivation of the team. For so much, it is necessary observe the aspirations of his collaborators and verify if organization has been capable of satisfy them. In that sense, falls to the informational professional qualify itself for perform that function.

With the advent of a global economy, Lean Six Sigma meets the demand of new production process that creates products within the customer’s specification without any wastage. The objectives of this work is to use the concepts Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma parallel to minimize costs, increase the customer base, reduce the delivery time which implies an increase in the turnover of products on the shelves in a packaging company. We used the DMAIC method to continue working. The method DMAIC indicated the main failure modes that were fixed in the step improve. At this stage the tools of Lean Manufacturing gain tremendous value by optimizing processes with defects. The conclusion involves an increase in monthly billing, a corporate restructuring and, finally, a renewal in how to conduct the work of management

The cosmetic industry has presenting growth in Brazil and one way to support this demand is improving production and reducing waste. Wastes can be related to setup time, which is spent to support demand of product´s mix and volume. One of the methodologies used to reduce setup time is SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die). This paper aims to describe and analyze the setup process in a production line in a cosmetic industrial branch, before and after the application of SMED methodology, highlighting good practices and difficulties in order to help other companies develop fast setup. The research method used was the case study. From the analysis of the implementation of the methodology on the company which is object from the case study was possible to summarize good practices, such as: the use of pillar E&T to store information about the training on the SMED methodology; creation of a multifunctional teamwork and involving different areas; creation of a “From-To” matrix. Difficulties were identified, such as: high and constant turnover of people who work on the shop floor; lack of discipline in filling the forms and by doing the setup activities that were standardized; lack of financial resources; lack of people´s availability in orer to conduct necessary meetings and trainings. Recommendations for other companies have also been proposed, such as: training of the team involved, before starting the project and a refresher training; standardization of training, forms and documentation of all steps of the project; create a multifunctional team; training after an employee, who is responsible for the setup, leaves the company

The searches for a health service it’s a part of a process, searches for a qualified evaluation can arise the perception, in form of irritating factors taking for an alert state. The personal expectation, it makes influence in its perceptions, too. The objective was to evaluate the satisfaction degree of the users of “Seção Técnica de Ambulatório Geral do Hospital das Clínicas de Botucatu”. The work is about a quantitative and transversal study, with calculated sample of 366 users, chosen randomly and invited to participate through a questionnaire. The population was compounded by a majority of women (64,5%), between 50 to 59 years old and average degree of education (38,3%). 25 specialties were cited. The evaluate about comfort, cleaning, reception, waiting time, medical attention and nursing vary between “very good” and “good”. Obtained significant “regular” assessment, the comfort in the waiting rooms (24%), silence (25%) and cleaning bathroom (63%). Others negative evaluation was the reception about the waiting time (26%), waiting time between arrival and the consultation (34%), waiting time between the request and consultation (27%). 30,6% report to know the place for complaints and 79,4% of these pointed to the ombudsman. 62% consider their problems solved, 84,4% would indicate the hospital, 57,4% would consider the hospital better than imagined. 42,62% used the opened area for thanking, critical for staff, suggestion infrastructure improvements, cleaning and waiting time. The biggest complaint was the staff turnover in the treatment. There was disharmony between the objective and subjective questions, but, all of them must be considered to propose improvements. The satisfaction evaluation makes the service more effective, bringing credibility to the health service and the patients adhere better to the treatment

O esporte infanto-juvenil vem sendo apontado como um importante aliado na promoção de uma vida mais ativa, bem como um forte instrumento de inclusão social. Por isso, é fundamental investigar quais fatores mais contribuem para a adesão no esporte infanto-juvenil. Pensando nisso foram investigados 15 adolescentes com idades entre 13 e 15 anos, participantes de um programa de iniciação esportiva; duas vezes por semana; com duração média de uma hora/dia. Para a coleta dos dados foi aplicado um questionário fechado, composto por 8 categorias, no qual, foram citados como motivos para a adesão os seguintes fatores, dispostos do maior para o menor motivo: Para competir; Ficar em forma; Fazer algo em que sou bom; Ficar mais habilidoso; Diversão; Amigos; Poder vir a ganhar dinheiro; e Outros. O conhecimento dos principais motivos para a adesão no esporte infanto-juvenil pode facilitar a adoção de uma conduta mais apropriada de: pais, técnicos e dirigentes, e servir como forma de incentivar a prática esportiva destes jovens, diminuindo assim, a grande rotatividade e abandono precoce das modalidades esportivas destes indivíduos.

The search for more reliable security systems and information management of these systems is leading to a growing progress in new technologies investments that allow the implementation of equipment with a high level of reliability, but also have an agile and practical operation. This led people to turn increasingly looking for home automation systems, enterprise and industry for the automation and integration of their systems. The identification by radio frequency is very widespread today for ensuring both agility in handling records data, the reliability of their identification systems, which are increasingly advanced and less susceptible to fraud. Attached to this technology, the use of the database is always very important for the storage of information collected, the area where the MySQL platform is widely used. Using the open source Arduino platform for programming and manipulation of RFID module and LabVIEW software for the union of all these technologies and to develop a user-friendly interface, you can create a highly reliable access control and agility places a high turnover of people. This project aims to prove the advantages of using all these technologies working together, thus improving a flawed system effectively safety, cheaper and quicker
