A lição de Heráclito

Heráclito é conhecido na história do pensamento filosófico como o propositor da doutrina do mobilismo universal O tudo flui, nada permanece, asserção pela qual é comumente sintetizada, integra o cerne da Metafísica: suscita em Platão a não menos conhecida Teoria das Formas, que acabará por tomar-se o pensamento diretor da filosofia do Ocidente. Para melhor compreender essas ressonâncias, desenvolveremos algumas considerações sobre a essência do devir heraclítico.

Um Exerci{dotless acute}cio Filosófico sobre a Pesquisa em Educação Matemática no Brasil

In this research we present a meta-comprehension about the research on Mathematics Education developed in Brazil through an hermeneutical analysis of the texts presented and discussed on the III SIPEM - International Seminar on Mathematics Education occurred on 2006. We present the trends that were identified in the research and emphasize the interrogations, questions and problems they address as well as their scientific, philosophical, and methodological rigor. We present the nucleus of ideas present in Mathematics Education research in Brazil as we transcend the individual production of research, focusing on the references of national and international authors. We conclude that the research analyzed has been clearly designed, introducing conceptions of and ways of working with Mathematics that address issues related to education, society, culture, teaching, learning, and history of Mathematics Education.

Why silver deposition is so fast: Solving the enigma of metal deposition

A perfect match: Silver deposition is one of the fastest electrochemical reactions, even though the Ag+ ion loses more than 5 eV solvation energy in the process. This phenomenon, an example of the enigma of metal deposition, was investigated by a combination of MD simulations, DFT, and specially developed theory. In the context of current scientific studies toward Information Science and Semiotics, this study highlights that Semiotics is relevant to the field, since that signs are interpreted in different ways by each person primarily when they arise from the interpretation of documental analysis, maintaining large amplitude and diversity. In this sense, Semiotics can furnish support for several areas since it focuses on elements which enable the understanding of the phenomena, in order to guide an adequate theory about the concerns pointed by research on information and knowledge organization. This study aims to present a theoretical reflection about the subject analysis from Peirce’s philosophical-semiotics approach. Thus, this study presents some relations and contributions of Semiotics on issues involving subject analysis as well as concepts of habit, experience, representation and types of signs generated in the process.

Um Enigma e sua Esfinge

This essay is targeted to ransom some aspects in General Miguel Costas´political trajectory; and also, the controversial debate concerning the Coluna Prestes. Here the attention is focused on his (the General’s) lack of knowledge even in the university matters, as also about the very Policia Militar (Military Police) institution. Considering a hypothesis, this came to happen on account of too few study material on the institution originated by the scholars efforts, but it happened also because the own Policia Militar were afraid that him would be sight like a leftish policeman.

A importância da arte no sistema filosófico de Hegel

What does it mean to say that Hegel is an idealist philosopher? Such determination is appropriate? If appeals Hegel to speculative approach, then how to understand their idealism? These questions guide the role of art in Hegel's philosophical system identifying a philosophy deeply committed and involved in its determination that takes place in the history or thought. If art is the moment of sensible intuition that Hegel considers carefully, then it is possible to conclude that the idealist perspective attributed to Hegel must be taken with reservations or its own idealism needs to be seen beyond all subjective levy.

A filosofia do direito no sistema filosófico hegeliano

The Hegelian philosophy is presented as a progress in relation to other philosophies and it offers to take in itself all the other demonstrations. Thereby, Hegel intends to carry out his philosophical effort towards the establishment of a philosophical system. It is a comprehension recognized and exposed by Hegel in his doctoral thesis, i.e., that philosophy only becomes possible as a system. In this sense, the treatment dispensed to each one of his works necessarily evokes a relationship with all other. An work taken in isolation gets the feeling that something else should be presented, however, every work written by Hegel also contemplates a relation with his other works. In this sense, the objective here is to considerate Hegel’s Philosophy of Law in his philosophical system seeking to explicit its specific place, as well as its transit among the works of the thinker as a whole. The Philosophy of Law finds its particular moment in the ambit of the objective spirit or during the subjective spirit’s effectuation. However, it is assumed here the perspective that the Philosophy of Law represents, as the objective spirit does, a moment of mediation as well as a there-being whereby the absolute spirit’s effectuation would happen. Furthermore, Hegel’s Philosophy represents the presentation of what he considers as extremely important in philosophy, that is precisely, the need to sublate the separation between man and the world. It is not enough for Hegel, the affirmation of the being and the thinking in itself, but it is required to confirm them in their being other that will be evinced being itself. Thus, Philosophy is given as a reconstruction or as the factual knowledge as a science ceasing to be so only love of learning. This means in other words that philosophy deals with the world, in the world and for the world being much more than a speech to the world to be the talk of the world itself. If philosophy is the owl of Minerva who always arrives late, she does it for the reasons of the other to be recognized.
