Gesso sintético e pinos transcorticais na redução de fratura de tíbia em uma bezerra

Relata-se um caso de fratura de tíbia em uma bezerra de sete meses de idade, 200kg de peso, apresentando fratura fechada, cominutiva em diáfise. A fixação externa foi preferida como método de imobilização óssea, utilizando-se pinos transcorticais e gesso sintético. Obteve-se eficiente imobilização da fratura, com rápida recuperação do animal, dispendendo-se pouco tempo para o pós-operatório (52 dias). A técnica demonstrou ser de fácil realização e passível de ser executada a campo.

The follicular growth and oocyte maturation knowledge are very important to the development and improvement of new biotechnologies such as in vitro fertilization and somatic cell nuclear transfer. In order to the necessity of clarify the basic mechanisms related to canine oocyte maturation, this investigation focuses on the evaluation of the effect of insulin-like growth factor-i (IGF-I), added to synthetic oviductal fluid medium (SOF) on the in vitro maturation of domestic dog oocytes. Thirty-seven bitches undergoing ovariohysterectomy for castration or due to pathological conditions of the uterus were selected as oocytes' donors (n=875). The oocytes were allocated in the following groups: MO (stained in the collection's time), Control (72h in SOF) and Experimental (72h in SOF plus 100 ng IGF-I). After 72 hours of maturation the oocytes' nuclear status were assessed by Hoechst 33342 dye. The best results in terms of oocyte harvest were observed in those juvenile donors,, females in estrus, nuliparous and pure breeds. No significant differences were observed between treatments control (SOF) or experimental (IGF-I).

Desenvolvimento de núcleos de Apis mellifera alimentados com suplemento aminoácido vitamínico, Promotor L

The development in the area of creates was studied of 14 nuclei with four mass off cells from the division of nine beehives of africanized Apis mellifera honeybees, distributed in two treatments: TPL - nuclei fed with inverted sugar + 3.5ml of the vitaminic amino acid supplement (Promotor L® ), composition for six nuclei and TAI - nuclei fed with composed inverted sugar for eight nuclei. The nuclei had been fed weekly in individual feeder's type tray, and the evaluations carried through in four periods, totalizing 74 days. The treatments had not presented significant difference, being that, number the TPL presented area of creates inferior to TAI (233.63 versus. 273.02cm 2, respectively). How much to the periods the four was superior (P<0.05) to the first and as second, being that the third did not present significant difference (P<0.05) in relation to the others. The use of the TAI was economically more favorable in relation to the TPL in R$0.21 in relation to the cost for production of 1kg of food.

O artigo é uma análise do poema Tecendo a Manhã, de João Cabral de Melo Neto, em que a organização sintática é tomada como principal fator verbal caracterizadorda construção da mensagem poética e dlrecionador de outros constituintes lingüísticos a ele assimilados. A tessitura sintática, apoiada em mecanismos variados de coesão e remontagem de estruturas, é vista como expressão forte do artesanato poético a revelar, plasticamente, um outro trabalho artesanal: o dos galos unidos na composição solidária e gradativa da manhã.

Síntese de um novo derivado de aminoácido paramagnético (epm-5) para uso em marcação de diferentes macromoléculas e sistemas de interesse químico-biológico

A presente invenção se refere à síntese química e à aplicação como composto orgânico paramagnético do tipo marcador de spin, do produto denominado ácido 2,2,5,5-tetramentilpirrolidina-1-oxi-3-[n-(fluorenilmetiloxicarbonil)-amino-4-carboxílico, abrevias peptídicas ou de determinados sistemas. Possibilita-se, ainda, a ligação do composto apenas pelo seu radical poac, com a remoção do protetor fmoc, em meio básico orgânico, e, da mesma forma, quando se deseje prolongar a seqüência peptídica até o ponto desejado. Por conter um anel do tipo pirrolidina, a sua introdução no meio de uma cadeia peptídica irá provocar conformações diferenciadas das de <244>-aminoácidos comuns, sendo portanto um composto valioso para se estudar a relação estrutura-atividade biológica de diversos peptídeos de importância. Pelo mesmo processo de síntese viabiliza-se o uso de fmoc-poac na marcação do peptídeo angiotensina ii (poac^ 7^ -aii).

O pragmatismo em Kaiser e Ranganathan e o pioneirismo na construção do método analítico-sintético

Considering that Julius Kaiser´s Systematic Indexing brought pioneer contributions to the theoretical framework of the subject approach to information, this paper retrieves the foundations of the analiticalsynthetic method conceived by Kaiser which acted as a basis for Ranganathan’s faceted theory. In this sense, and by adopting William James’ pragmatism as a methodological approach, it analyzes the analitical and sintetic dimensions of Kaiser´s indexing method and in what extent they act as a basis for the definition of Ranganathan´s method, as well as how both Kaiser´s and Raganathan´s methods dialogue each other.

Um estudo sintático-semântico das preposições em complementos verbais de webjornais paulistas

The main goal of this work is to evaluate the realization of the linguistic phenomenon of preposition and also to investigate how current normative pressures influence the production and the perception of processes of variation and change in Brazilian Portuguese. We analyze the use of prepositions a and para in verbal complementation contexts in contemporary journalistic texts from São Paulo’s press – the web newspapers. The contexts considered are constructions with complements of direction, movement with transference, material transference, and verbal/perceptual predicators (Berlinck, 1996; Corrêa, Cançado, 2006). Because written texts tend to be more conservative (i.e. more normative) this research provides an important linguistic investigation that contributes to the sociolinguistic knowledge of the language. However, the newspapers also tend to reflect the use, so they constitute a privileged place for us to understand the conflicting relationship between ‘norm’ and ‘use’. Besides this, the research is relevant for General Linguistics for considering linguistic and extralinguistic factors which determine the use and frequency of the prepositions, like syntactic-semantic relations between the preposition, the verb, the complement, and the text genre. We collected data from web newspapers from Araraquara, with small and medium circulation. Based on previous results, we have ascertained the predominance of the use of the preposition a in the newspapers from São Paulo in the 20th century. Método de Taguchi aplicado a um processo de corte por fusão de um tecido sintético

A company must have full knowledge and control of its operations so as to meet the market requirements and meet their production goals. Thus this paper uses the Taguchi method to extend the operational control of a cutting process by fusion of a synthetic fabric in the longitudinal direction. For process analysis and tracking of possible causes of the problem techniques of Production Engineering as the cause and effect diagram, also known as Ishikawa diagram, and design of experiments were used, the last one was applied to the design techniques of Taguchi. Finally the preparation method of understanding and design of experiment was due to the use of the software MINITAB v15 ®, which showed that the speed of rolling the fabric after cutting is crucial for controlling the entire operation
