Concern about the identity of nursing professionals has existed since Florence Nightingale. The exercise of the nursing profession must be based on scientific principles so that the actual health problems of a given community can be assessed and actions targeted at improving the population’s quality of life can be designed from such assessments. This problem assessment is referred to as Nursing Diagnosis. NANDA defines diagnosis as “a clinical judgment about individual, family or community responses to actual or potential health problems/life processes. Nursing diagnosis provides the basis for selection of nursing interventions to achieve outcomes for which nurses are accountable”. The present study aimed at investigating the scientific production on Nursing Diagnosis (NANDA). This is an literature review. For data collection, an instrument that addressed the following items was used: identification of original articles and evaluation of their objectives, methodological characteristics, results and conclusion. In the present review, 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed. They were all authored by nurses. Four articles addressed obstetrics, puerperium and neonatology, and the diagnosis of an unsatisfactory breastfeeding process was observed in 100% of cases. As regards chronic diseases, four articles were found, and two exclusively addressed diabetes, with a main diagnosis of an ineffective control of the therapeutic regimen. Three articles addressed the elderly, and the main diagnosis found was hindered mobility in more than 90% of cases. As regards, sexually transmitted diseases, one article was found with three diagnoses with 100% for disturbed sleep patterns, infection risk and ineffective protection. As to patients with sequelae, two articles were identified, and the diagnoses found were hindered physical mobility, with 100%; self-care deficit for... The test system connection segmental blocks and geogrids at the Department of Civil Engineering, UNESP - Guaratinguetá order to verify the strength of the connection system when subjected to different confining stresses. The present work aims to demonstrate the procedures for carrying out the test as well as the placement of concrete blocks. Were analyzed two ways of placing the blocks in the press. An entire block and two halves in the first layer, named position 12, compared to a different format, two entire blocks in the first layer, named position 21; also geogrids: single and double layer. From the data obtained for the peak strength of 20 tests it was possible to obtain the envelopes break in the connection for single and double layer. In 2011, the size of the concrete block used in the test was lower when compared with previous years. What resulted in significant decreases in the loss of connection in single layer and it was noted that there was no decrease in the strength of connection in the double-layer tests, despite the smaller area of contact between the block and geogrid. It is concluded that, through the analysis of geogrids after running the test, the concrete block is responsible for theforce that allows the movement of the geogrid due to the force from the ground

The mobility of water in the soil is a difficult process to be quantified. During precipitation, there is a portion of the water that infiltrates, which is very important for recovering the groundwater balance. This work studies the mobility of water in sandy soils with different textures and residual soils through experiments mounted in lysimeters. The lysimeters were mounted on acrylic cylinder with 11.3 cm diameter and 25.0 cm in length. The sand was deposited using the process sand rain. In the tests it was maintained a hydraulic head of two centimeters above the surface with the aid of a Mariotte flask. The portions of water were controlled in the experiments using relations between weight and volume measurements over time. The data were obtained by monitoring the input and output volumes of water through calibrated reservoir and system weight by an electronic balance. The infiltration front was monitored with the aid of a digital camera. The results indicate that the smaller the particle size of the sand, the lower the speed of the saturation front, the higher the retained volume, the smaller the basic rate of infiltration and the lowest speed of percolation. Moreover, the rate of water loss in the evaporation process indicated no significant difference with variation of the particle size of the samples

This research project focused primarily on assessing the impact toughness of the weld and the base material of a steel pipe API 5L X70 submerged arc welded, used to conduct remote oil and gas (linepipes). The analysis followed strictly the Specification for Line Pipe - API 5L Standard, regarding the removal of the specimens of regions-of-proof-long section of the pipe, at 90o and 180o from the welded joint, and mechanical properties of toughness and Charpy-V, both the joint welded as the base material. Specimens of steel tube supplied by Tenaris Confab-SA were sized for tensile and Charpy-V, according to ASTM E 8M and ASTM E23, respectively. The result obtained showed that the API X70 steel tube has high Charpy-V toughness, near to each other at both 90o and 180o from the welded joint of the tube, and both higher than the weld metal. Microstructural and microhardness analysis complemented the present study

Magnetic fields can be produced by natural magnets, artificial magnets, and by circulating electric currents in wires and solenoids. An interesting experiment to observe the interaction between the magnetic field and free charges in a conductor, a magnet falling inside a tube made of conductive materials. The slowing down of the magnet by the appearance of a field in the opposite direction to the original one (Lenz's Law) is function the number of free electrons in the conductor and the electrical properties of this. Based on this, the objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between the electrical properties of conductors, copper and aluminum, with magnetic force on a neodymium magnet-iron-boron magnet falling inside a copper tube and aluminum, positioned vertically. In performing this experiment, we observed that it is a demonstration of Lenz-Faraday’s Law

In recent years it was possible to see a considerable growth of distance education, while the classroom teaching had a more modest growth. Thus, maintained this scenario, it will not take long for the quantitative indicators of distance education outweigh the classroom education. The distance education is evolving rapidly and changing traditional methods of acquiring knowledge and reduce inequalities caused by isolation and distance from large urban centers. This work aims to develop a videolesson and analyze its application in the teaching of statistics to a class of students of FEG, using modern techniques of distance education. To that end, was record a videolesson and developed two assessment tools, one practical and the other qualitative. The results showed that students prefer to follow the resolution of examples, with high degree of difficulty, and the audio recording is a key to the proper understanding of the same. In addition, students consider important mainstay of distance education, the fact that you can attend a class several times, whenever you need it, anywhere

The process of electric arc welding with shielding gas (GMAW) is being increasingly used in various industrial applications. This process occurs by which an electric arc is established between the work piece and a consumable in the form of wire, the arc melts the wire continuously as it is fed to the weld pool. The weld metal is protected from the atmosphere by flowing a gas (or gas mixture) inert or active. This paper presents a study of the welding process GMAW - MIG on aluminum tubes, alloy 6101 - T6, used in the manufacture of armored busbar, intended for driving electric power plants. 5(five) were welded specimens, changing certain welding parameters at each time was monitored welding joint as well as the interpass temperature. Tests were performed bending, tensile and macrographical analysis of body-of-evidence and through its results was possible to reach a better welding condition, which minimizes the appearance of pores, since the porosity has great influence on the mechanical strength and electrical conductivity of welded pipes

The connections in the wood structures are the places with high concentrations of stresses and therefore are more fragile than the rest of the structure. The connections between pieces of wood can be made by metal pins (nails or screws). The compression and embedment strength has significant influence on the calculation of the connections. The main aim of this work was to evaluate the compression and embedment strength in the directions parallel, inclined at 45° and normal to the grain, using standard specimens according to ABNT NBR 7190/1997 standard. The compression and embedment strength were initially evaluated according to ABNT NBR 7190/1997, which admits the deformation of 2‰ as limit of embedment and the ratio between the ultimate strength and the area of application of load in the specimen for the compressive strength. Afterward, the embedment strength was evaluated by the EUROCEDE 5 /1995 European standard, which use the limit of 5 mm of the displacement for the embedment. Specimens of Pinus oocarpa, Cumaru and Pinus taeda were used in tests to calibration of equipment and specimens of Pinus taeda and Eucalipto citriodora were used to compare the results of strength. The results of strength were evaluated based on statistical analysis. The results of compressive strength for the Pinus taeda showed no significant differences in embedment strength in the directions parallel and normal to the grain. For the Eucalipto citriodora only in the direction parallel to grain the compression strength was not significant compared with the embedment strength. For both species, only the parallel compression strength and inclined at 45o to the grain, which were to the grain, which were admitted the strain of 2‰ were not significantly different compared with the compression strength determined according to ABNT NBR 7190/1997. The normal compression strength obtained according to ABNT NBR 7190/1997 and ultimate compression strength not ...
