Educational Journey on the Teachers' Narrative

Initial and continuous education for teachers has been studied at Group of Studies and Research on Language, Teaching and Teachers’ narrative (GEPLENP in Portuguese). In order to do so, we use teacher’s narratives from public schools in Assis/SP. Narrative researches have been very widely spread either in Brazil or in any other country. Meaningful papers have shown how important the topic is as well as the method used. This research tries to identify teachers’ social representations, which result from historic, cultural and time constitutions in order to get close to group of teachers’ representations about their initial and continuous education. The individual and singular narrative method gives us the opportunity to access the history told by the participants. The results point out that initial education promotes the opposition between theory and praxis and use of tool is highlighted in continuous education, which limits possibilities of teachers’ reflection on their own school role thus evidencing institutional interests.

Studies show that the disciplines of differential and integral calculus have high failure rates in all schools where they are present and, although this problem has been accentuated in recent years, it is not a local phenomenon. It's observed since 1970s in various Institutions of higher education in Brazil. These studies seek to understand the causes of failures and proposals for teaching methodology that aims to help reduce these rates. However, there is a large contingent of students who are successful at the first time that they perform these disciplines. And these cases, although they have not been studied, can contribute greatly to the understanding the aspects that are related to learning of them. And this understanding can lead to attitudes and learning and teaching methodologies that promote the expansion of this success. The fact that these subjects also have high failure rates in the Degree in Chemistry of this Institute, this study aimed to investigate the factors that were relevant to the cases for approval of the students performed for the first time. For this we constructed a questionnaire containing objective questions and open answers. The objective sought to diagnose the profile of these students with regard to age, gender, basic education (elementary and middle school), study habits, concurrent activities, among others. These questions were analyzed using simple statistics. The open-ended questions asked students to indicate that they attribute the success obtained in the disciplines and to suggest modes of study. These questions were analyzed using thematic categorization, a method of content analysis. This questionnaire was completed, voluntarily and without identification, by students who have passed the first time attended the courses Calculus I and/ or Calculus II and had never started another college prior to this. The objective of this study was to determine which method (randomor block practice) has been used by physical education teachers working inschool sports with children from six to seven years, making use of descriptiveresearch, we apply a semi-structured questionnaire applied to ten (n=10)Physical Education Teachers, graduates of both sexes (04 men and 06 women)age between 24 and 41 years. Based on data collected across the sourcesfound in our literature we find that there is a teaching methodology for motorlearning among teachers in common showing that factors such as the numberof students in each class and especially the response of this group tasksguide the methodology to be applied is thus based on the skill of the teacher’sperception of the whole.

A transferência e o processo pedagógico na Educação Física Escolar

In spite of education it was not main element of Freud's work, in elapsing of work he considered it in chapter denominated “Education Interest of the psychoanalysis” (1913). The objective is to intend to the teacher to consider the importance of psychoanalytic focus in pedagogic extent, demonstrating her contribution for understanding of the students' formative processes. Consequently, to contemplate, starting from the Freudian work, on transfer concept in that relationship introducing intervention forms in the teaching process and learning. We adopted the revision of literature related to the psychoanalytic aspect that it approaches the education, in interface with school physical education. In other words, we specifically looked for aspects on the theme of transfer in the interface of psychoanalysis with pedagogy. Also, part of the Freudian work was used regarding the theme approached in analytical indexes. Since then, we detected that the observed authors affirm that between teachers and students relationship transferencial exists. Therefore, the selection of contents sends the educators to organize and systematize as it will be worked in curriculum and transmitted to the students, since it should go to the encounter of students’ expectations, doing with that school physical education has sense and meaning. Therefore, it is important the physical education teacher, in school, to analyze that when working with the human being there are just no effects of work on content or about the use of correct teaching methodology, but, also the actions transferenciais that are present in learning process.

Concepções geométricas de percepção e representação da forma no desenho

A study on means of developing of perception and reading of the form by the conception and development of a Teaching Methodology of Drawing with emphasis in its early stages, its development and application in the initial stages of the Design process, dissecting it as a mental and physical process. We will be addressing the contributions of Geometry as a mean of simplification of the reading and materializing configurations as some pointers for addressing the Drawing teaching in the reported course.

Ajustes de metodologia de ensino para atividades de Educação Ambiental considerando a unidade espacial Bacia Hidrográfica

From the concept of Environmental Education proposed by I.U.C.N. in the 1970’s and considering some of the main teaching methodologies adopted in activities regarding Environmental Education, this paper aims to analyze the methodology named Pedagogy of the Project and presenting some alterations of this method, especially in relation to considered study unity: the watershed. Some teaching techniques are also presented, as well as didactic resources and considerations regarding the questions that can be developed for the students within the teaching or evaluation process. This purpose is complementary to others already existents and can be applied in many environmental or socioeconomics situations.

The lack of motivation and the excessive quantity of subject memorization are some of the main causes for the disinterest of students when learning chemistry. To change this scene, it's necessary that the teachers reinvent themselves and innovate during their classes, making use of alternative methodologies for the chemistry teaching process. The objectives of this work are to evaluate, from a constructive methodology approach, the characteristics, possibilities and limitations of some techniques and methods of teaching. This analysis allowed to present the results in the form of a table summarizing these characteristics and can be useful for teachers to choose the right strategy to be used

A importância da experimentação no ensino de química e ciências

The profile of students has changed a lot, mainly due to the advent of new technologies, which in attractiveness has attracted the attention of students, and becoming a difficulty the teacher to attract the attention of the student to class. In this sense, it is needed reformulations in pedagogical practice so that the student's attention turns to science, arousing their curiosity. Thus, in Chemistry and Science Teaching, and lectures must encourage discussions about science, and one of the possible ways to insert dynamic classes is by inserting the trial. Thus, this present course conclusion work aims at presenting and discussing the ways in which Experimentation in Chemistry and Science Teaching has been applied in classrooms, the difficulties of its implementation as a teaching methodology, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of their use depending on the type of approach, training teachers, among other factors
