There are substantial evidences that the period experienced by humanity globally is unprecedented and is heading towards a major transformation that results from the Globalization. Totally conditioned to the addictions of the dominant and predatory capitalism, humanity has, for decades, exhausted natural resources, disregarded the nature of its own social existence and walked away from its humanity. It is notable, however, an impressive flow of factors that dialogue and support each other as trends that go towards sustainable development, based on the harmonious integration between Technology, Culture, Society, Environment and Economy. This emerging moment can be seen from the perspectives of the Creative Economy as economic paradigm centered on the subjectivity and the human capacity to undertake innovative services, products and solutions guided by social values. Within this fluid and dynamic global context, initiatives that legitimately intend to act sustainably are gaining space. This socioeconomic moment fosters and is fostered by new kinds of work and organization guided by the Collaboration and social structuring on Network Patterns. These new social models significantly transform the understanding and insights about the Communication flows. The HUB São Paulo, as creative and social organization that operates under the logic of Collaboration through a Network Structure, was the subject of a case study used to sustain the defense of this emerging scenario and also to perform an analysis on the new role of Communication, at perspectives of transformation of mental paradigms towards sustainability and establishment of meaningful connections

Reprodutibilidade do pico de torque isocinético e da taxa de desenvolvimento de força dos músculos rotadores internos do ombro em nadadores

A natação é um esporte praticado em um meio que oferece grande resistência ao deslocamento do atleta que necessita realizar grande força com a articulação do ombro durante as braçadas sendo, desse modo, de fundamental importância a avaliação da força desta articulação. São poucos os estudos que avaliam a força desta articulação em nadadores visando o desempenho esportivo. OBJETIVO: Verificar a reprodutibilidade do pico de torque (PT) e da taxa de desenvolvimento de força (TDF) dos rotadores internos do ombro em nadadores. MÉTODOS: Foram analisados 10 nadadores que realizaram 5s de contração isométrica, 5 contrações concêntricas em baixa velocidade (60°/s), e 5 contrações concêntricas em alta velocidade (180°/s). Foram determinados o PT e a TDF dos membros dominante e não-dominante. Após um intervalo de uma semana, os indivíduos foram testados novamente, sob as mesmas condições do primeiro teste, e foi avaliado o grau de confiabilidade. RESULTADOS: Os valores de PT foram similares entre as tentativas (p > 0,05). O coeficiente de correlação intraclasse (CCI) do PT isométrico foi de 0,76 e 0,85 (p < 0,05), na contração isocinética a 60º/s foi de 0,56 (p > 0,05) e 0,90 (p < 0,05) e na contração isocinética a 180º/s foi de 0,84 e 0,76 (p < 0,05), para o membro dominante e não dominante respectivamente. A TDF pico não foi significantemente diferente entre os testes para ambos os membros (p > 0,05), porém não houve correlação significante entre os testes para ambos os membros (p > 0,05). CONCLUSÃO: Conclui-se que o teste isocinético de rotação interna do ombro em nadadores apresenta boa reprodutibilidade para a determinação do PT. Não foi observada boa reprodutibilidade para a TDF pico, provavelmente pelo baixo número de voluntários

Comércio internacional e desenvolvimento econômico: relações bilaterais Brasil-China, no período 2000-2011

Atualmente a China é um ator essencial do cenário econômico mundial, sendo também um grande demandante de matérias primas para manter seu acelerado crescimento, resultando assim em importante e estratégico para a região latinoamericana, sobretudo, por ser um grande comprador. Por sua importância econômica, estratégica e demográfica a China se destaca em relação à maioria dos países do mundo sendo não apenas um ator chave, responsável por grandes mudanças ocorridas no nível e estrutura da demanda mundial, mas também importante fonte de recursos financeiros para manter os equilíbrios internacionais. Através da discussão das relações de comércio entre Brasil e China buscamos analisar os principais resultados em termos econômicos e sociais, principalmente a atuação do Brasil enquanto ator global dado sua importância crescente na dinâmica mundial. A intenção desta pesquisa é entender as dimensões da relação com o país asiático, a partir do posicionamento do Brasil como um dos principais parceiros comerciais de China, sobretudo como exportador de produtos primários. Mudanças climáticas: o discurso da mídia sobre o aquecimento global

This research is aimed at discussing the ways in which social agents influence global warming, analyzing the discourse of social actors involved in the debate on climate change, since there is a wide divergence in the scientific community about how man is able to modify the climate on a global scale. In fact the debate that permeates the issues beyond the limits of science and enter into a political-economic framework that takes extraordinary proportions. This emphasis can be very unscientific in the fundamental design concepts, or even creating a trivialization of the media. The main way to convey these concepts is to disclose them in the media, but the media has enormous power to transform the concepts and often manipulate the news by creating a common sense goes against the interests of the scientific community. Thus was conducted extensive research in major newspapers and magazines that move in the country. We surveyed the first two papers which were: “Folha de S. Paulo” and “O Estado de S. Paulo”, during the period from January 2000 to December 2008, totaling 3285 units for the newspaper Folha and 2555 for the newspaper Estadão. Subsequently a survey was made of data published in two journals that move at the national level, and these are the magazines VEJA and ÉPOCA for the same period. By performing these steps, it was concluded that several factors involving the media and climate change, such as topic relevance, types of approaches, perspectives of analysis, the staff development, supplies, among other factors of utmost importance for building news. As a result we can say that the media in fulfilling its role of mediator scientific, disclosing only a vision that permeates the scientific debate. The dulce de leche or milk candy is a food widely consumed in Brazil, which shows typical characteristics of taste, color, flavor and texture. The lady-finger red pepper is regularly present on the Brazilian people table as this product contains a pungent flavor favoring various spices; and it is also rich in ascorbic acid (vitamin C) which is an excellent antioxidant. This study aimed at developing a dulce de leche containing lady-finger red pepper, and to determine the composition of the product. Also, the ascorbic acid contents were quantified in products stored for different periods (0, 30 and 60 days). The product acceptance by consumers on the sensory characteristics was evaluated by means of hedonic scale for color, aroma, flavor and texture attributes. The composition of the product was in accordance with the legislation in force, and the ascorbic acid contents were practically stable during the storage, and the sensory analyses indicated that the red pepper-containing dulce de leche was well accepted.
