O consumo como ponto de partida para a compreensão do capitalismo: a contribuição de Veblen

Esse trabalho buscou contribuir teoricamente para o tema, com uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre a Economia Institucional e a teoria de Veblen sobre consumo e racionalidade. Nesse trabalho foram identificados os principais conceitos do Institucionalismo, como divergem da Economia Neoclássica e a questão do consumo conspícuo abordado por Veblen

Avaliação da viabilidade econômica da implantação de uma usina de triagem e compostagem na cidade de Rio Claro-SP

The question of the solid waste is without a doubt one of the biggest problems faced for the world-wide population in the present time, resulting in the call “collapse of the garbage”. In this direction that appears the composting, in the scope of the treatment of organic waste origin, that in Brazil, approximately correspond 50% of the generated volume. However, the rare plants of selection and composting (UTC) existing at least do not obtain auto-to support themselves, increasing to each day the number of deactivations, almost always related the financial questions. In this direction, the present research brings the analysis of the economic viability of the implantation of a UTC for the city of Rio Claro-SP, relating it with the thick organic composition sales, for the cultures of vegetables cultivated in a ray of 30 km of the study area. For in such a way, they had been carried through, calculations concerning the regional demand for organic composition, and the verification of the implantation costs and operation of the plant. The reached results had been the flow of box for the first year of functioning of the UTC, as well as the break-even point between the gotten expenditures and prescriptions. From this relation investment profitability, it was verified that the UTC is presented impracticable under the economic point of view.

Investigando a tradução de acrônimos e siglas da área de sensoriamento remoto: uma proposta do ponto de vista fraseológico

The aim is to analyze a corpus of remote sensing in order to identify acronyms in English and then search for their equivalents in Portuguese. The research is based on the approach of Corpus-Based Translation Studies (BAKER, 1995), Corpus Linguistics (BERBER SARDINHA, 2004), and Phraseology (PAVEL, 2003). The program WordSmith Tools version 6.0 is used. The results show that there is no standardization in these translations.

Gestão de estoque em uma empresa de varejo de produtos de limpeza e higiene pessoal

The deficiency in the product inventory management is common in small businesses, affecting several areas, especially the purchasing department that has difficulty in performing their tasks, acquiring the supplier's products at the time and in the most appropriate amount. Especially in the retail sector, the loss of quality of services is visible, because the availability of the product when there is demand is essential for the occurrence of sales and customer satisfaction. In this study, looking to improve inventory management in a retail company of cleaning products and personal hygiene, apply the classification method ABC (or Pareto Rule) to segment the available products. Thus are adopted buying criteria of new products based on the concepts of economic order quantity, safety stock and resupply point. The results show the feasibility of this procedure adopted because it was possible to propose an improved inventory management in a simple and effective way, contributing to company's competitive advantage
