Radônio como indicador de contaminação de solos por hidrocarbonetos

Previous studies show that in areas contaminated by fuel spill (NAPL- non-aqueous phase liquids), from operational activities, transport and storage, it was possible to observe a significant decrease of ²²²Rn (radon) gas concentration in the soil, even a non-uniform distribution of this gas in top soil, even with a geological situation was practically homogeneous. These anomalies may be associated with the preference partitioning of radon in NAPLs. This work consists of applying ²²²Rn as an indicator for locating subsurface contamination by NAPLs in an area of the city of Rio Claro (SP) where, according to the “Survey of Contaminated and Rehabilitated Areas in the State of São Paulo (Environmental Sanitation and Technology Company - CETESB), there was, in the year 2007, groundwater contamination from leaks of liquid fuels. The challenges of this research are: Promulgate the use of a new tool with greater efficiency in obtaining results, in addition to generate less impact in half and have less expenditure; disseminate scientific culture promoting greater integration of C&T (culture & technology) between universities and businesses. The emanometric technique to estimate the location, number and interfacial area of NAPL in saturated and non-saturated zone, has the advantage of locating and determining plumes of free phase even when the amount of VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) that reaches the surface is low or non-existent. In addition, the measurement techniques ²²²Rn are quite developed. The results obtained show that, similar to the other studies, the 222Rn soil gas presents an anomalous behavior in the area bounded by NAPL plume, being possible to note a significant deficit in the concentration of the gas in spots where the saturation by NAPLs is still critical. Construindo novas referências: a comunicação aliada à formação do público interno

This paper addresses the issue of internal communication, especially with regard to its function formative and not merely informative. The objective of the research is to analyze to what purposes the organizations use their internal communication, as well as the viewpoint of communication professionals about building character and training of these means. As exploratory research method was used with a questionnaire to communications professionals who work or have worked in the area of internal communication in organizations. The issues addressed were aimed at verifying whether the communication is commonly fostered with other goals besides informing, which the media more used and is performed in an integrated manner with other departments. It was concluded that, although the internal communication is used most often to inform and ensure a good organizational climate, communication professionals understand the necessity of its use for the formation of the internal public and try to use it for this purpose

Agrupamentos produtivos locais: um indicador de desenvolvimento regional no setor aeronáutico

O presente estudo, que foi desenvolvido considerando os dados de quatro municípios do Estado de São Paulo (São Carlos, Araraquara, Matão e Gavião Peixoto), teve como propósito definir um Indicador de Desenvolvimento Regional e teve os seguintes itens pesquisados: consumo energia elétrica residencial e industrial, população, valor adicionado total e o número de empregos gerados. Desses itens foram utilizados o valor adicionado e o número de empregos gerados para definir um indicador de desenvolvimento regional a fim de detectar o desenvolvimento dos municípios estudados, utilização de mão de obra qualificada e a geração de riquezas obtidas e distribuída entre esses municípios. A construção desse Indicador teve como base os dados dos municípios paulistas do período de 2001 a 2007. Após a mensuração do indicador de desenvolvimento regional foram extraídos e analisados os seguintes dados: análise do crescimento desses indicadores que levam ao desenvolvimento dos municípios vizinhos e a formação de um agrupamento produtivo local (cluster). Esses dados também foram utilizados numa análise estatística de regressão para estimar previsão de crescimento desses municípios em função do setor aeronáutico que está se instalando na região estudada. Foi observado também que no período estudado houve um crescimento de consumo de energia elétrica industrial e residencial, propiciando aos seus habitantes uma melhor qualidade de vida, com melhores salários e benefícios comuns. Esse indicador é altamente favorável, pois evidencia que a tendência de agrupamento de empresas no mesmo setor, contribui para o desenvolvimento da sociedade onde está inserida, incentiva o crescimento dos municípios e fomentando as atividades. Identificação e implementação de melhorias nas operações de transporte interno de matéria-prima de um aindústria de bens de consumo

The world is an environment in constant process of globalization, where physical boundaries are no longer limits. The competitiveness has also evolved, forcing companies to adopt efficient practices in order to increase productivity gains, reduce losses and improve quality. Nowadays, the supply chain management and its element, including the internal logistics, is regarded as a key element for gaining competitiveness. Thus, this study focused on identifying and implementing improvements in the internal raw materials transport operations of a consumer goods company, based on concepts and tools of the lean thinking. The results showed considerable gains in productivity with consequent cost reduction, proving the efficiency of the methodology lean even in support areas of an organization.

This paper concerns about the durability of new material in construction. It is noteworthy the fact that increases increasingly searching for alternative materials that do not depend only of natural resources and at the same time be an alternative for reuse of industrial waste. Revestimento interno de tubulação por um processo de centrifugação utilizando resina éster-vinílica com adição de cargas

Being the corrosion one of the great problems facing the industry today, specifically the internal corrosion of pipes in chemical and petrochemical industries, hence this work proposes a new type of internal coating in order to avoid fouling and decrease the pressure loss in the flow. For this, we use a composition of vinyl ester resins and manometric loads, which after cleaning and preparation of the internal surface of the tube will be applied through a process of centrifugation, adjusted by a lathe. After curing the resin, a test of roughness will be realized in order to analyze the reduction of friction factor and thus be able to conclude whether there was a significant decrease in pressure drop. With test results in hand, we hope to obtain a coating that meets most of the properties required by the industry and to provide a reduction in operating costs and a visible improvement in the conditions of use of the pipe

Percepção do enfermeiro quanto a sua satisfação no contexto de trabalho em um hospital estadual

With the increasing competitiveness of organizations in search of customers, it is essential that the pursuit of quality becomes a prerequisite for the survival of healthcare organization, is necessary to have working conditions that encourage both personal and professional satisfaction. This study aims to investigate the perception of nurses regarding their satisfaction in the context of work in a State Hospital and contribute to the reflection on the internal customer satisfaction as an important indicator of quality of health services that interfere with quality of care. We used the qualitative method, on phenomenology, with nurses from a state hospital that had at least one year of experience in the institution. Through interviews, it was revealed that satisfaction is related to the literature and is influenced by factors such as human resources, practice nurses, Teamwork, Perception of the patient, professional recognition, physical and material resources and rewarding work, and these themes unfold quality and satisfaction both personally and for organizations

Extensometria: estudo das microdeformações ao redor de três implantes de hexágono interno, com posicionamento linear, sob a influência da fundição de coifas plásticas e usinadas

The objective of this in vitro study was quantify the micro strain development around the internal hexagon implants, varying the type of prosthetic coping. For This reason, three implants of internal hexagon were inserted into one polyurethane block in line placement. Microunit abutments were screwed onto the implants. Tangentially the implants were bonded the strain gauges, two to the center implant. Ten structures, each one containing three copings were cast in Co-Cr alloy, that were divided into groups in the first group, plastic copings were used, and in the second group machined copings were used. The superstructure’s occlusal screws were tightened onto Microunit abutments with 10 Ncm torque, the magnitude of micro strain was recorded. The mean values of each strain gauge of each plastic copings were 363,37 ± 237,66 and the machined copings were 338,12 ± 223,01. The data were analyzed statistically by t- Student test. No statistically significant difference was found between the prosthetic copings (p= 0,867). It was concluded that to internal hexagon implants in line placement, the type of copings presented similar magnitude of micro strain after prosthetic occlusal screw was tightened

Location and infrastructure, among other factors, are of paramount importance; however I endeavor to highlight those, which I consider are the most significant and refer to aspects of cognitive and immaterial labor in the sense that its products are intangible, such as knowledge, communication, interaction, focusing on institutional collaborative activities and productive resistance.

Clareamento interno em dentes despolpados como alternativa a procedimentos invasivos: relato de caso

The increasing interest of patients for a better aesthetic appearance of their smile, associated with the development of new materials and techniques, encouraged by media couverage of this concept of beauty, provided an important evolution of cosmetic dentistry. As the darkness of a single anterior tooth or a group of teeth, in most cases, impairs the appearance of the smile and there is growing appreciation of the less invasive procedures, the technique of tooth bleaching is an important option for aesthetic treatment. To have success in the bleaching treatment, it is important to have knowledge of the origin, nature and composition of the stain. Among the causes of color changes acquired post-eruptive, dental trauma, with or without pulp necrosis, is one of the most commonly encountered etiologies, characterized by a reddish-brown color. Current techniques of bleaching for teeth treated endodontically employ oxidative agent hydrogen peroxide. The objective of this paper is to describe the immediate technique of bleaching non-vital tooth by presenting a clinical case.
